2 Summoned to Another World

Mikax's head was pounding. He had no intention of opening his eyes. If he could turn his brain off right now, he absolutely would the pain was so high. Even with his eyes closed he could see his status screen had a red blinking effect next to his name.

*Enslaved*

'Who the hell had the balls to enslave me?' He thought to himself.

Mikax remembered the first time he had been enslaved in E2, his brother had commissioned the entire guild to hunt down the parties responsible. Within the month all 200,000 players of the guild whether responsible or not had been found, tortured, and forced into different mining sites that The Misfits had owned to repay the debt with hard labor for 6 months. After that incident players enslaving other players had almost completely disappeared in the more reputable avenues of the game.

Slowly opening his eyes, he was immediately confused. He was not in a prisoner's type cell. Now that he was forcing himself to try and think clearly, he noticed that he was lying on a comfortable bed. The sheets and blankets were made of something similar feeling to cotton and silk. The walls were all smoothly carved stone with plenty of ornate pieces on the walls. This was for sure not a holding cell of any type.

He removed the blankets from his body and leaned up onto his elbows and took a good look at himself. All of his gear was still on him. Whoever had tried to kidnap his brother were amateurs to leave him fully armed with God-tier armor and equipment. They at least had the smarts to remove his daggers, sword, and firearm from him.

As he looked around the room the first thing, he noticed was an open window allowing a nice gentle breeze to blow through. 'No bars' Mikax thought to himself. This had him wondering who was foolish enough to try and capture the strongest player in the game with such poor preparations.

'Maybe my brother wasn't the actual target and this is them trying to make sure he doesn't kill them all when he finds out they have me' he thought to himself.

As he continued to look around the room, he noticed a table against one of the walls with a chair. In front of this was a very shiny metal plate with a fairly bland-looking meal on it. If he had to compare it to something it would be a boiled chicken breast with mashed potatoes.

'No vegetables? These guys are idiots if they call this a meal' he laughed to himself.

Continuing to scan the room his eyes finally came to the door.

"Dead idiots," Mikax said as he grinned at his twin daggers, short sword, and gun hanging on hooks on each side of the door.

As he crossed the room, he finally remembered the only issue that he was still having.

*Enslaved* was still flashing red in the top corner of his vision.

He instinctively reached for his neck and was relieved to feel nothing. In E2 the highest-ranked slave collars worked on any beings that they were put on. Being maxed level or the strongest player in the game meant nothing. They had been designed to enslave the gods that had ruled over that world. The Misfits had other plans to deal with the Gods. Any who dared to try and rule them were slaughtered. In the 25 years that they had played E2, his brother had led them against 3 Gods all resulting in one less God.

Looking down he pulled up both of his pant legs revealing rounded circular bracelets that had been clasped tightly and sealed with someone's mark. This mark was so others could identify the owner of the slave. From the looks of the seal, it was someone who thought that they were very important who had decided that their time in this world had come to an end. Luckily slave bracelets did not stack or Mikax might be worried. However, just to double check he used his appraisal skill Legend's Glare.

<Slave Bracelet>

Level: 125

A bracelet-like, ornamental circlet worn around the ankle. The wearer of this device will be unable to refuse any orders given to them by the owner or their assigned delegates.

As he finished verifying the information about the bracelet, Mikax heard the faint sound of footsteps approaching his door. He swiftly unsheathed the daggers from the hooks beside the door before retreating and sitting down on the bed. As he sat down, he slid the daggers under the blanket and put his hands on his lap. He had no intention to alert his abductors that he was already armed with his strongest weapons, the fact that they left them behind sealed at least some of their fates.

When the footsteps had reached his door Mikax heard the key enter and turn with a loud clunk. Slowly the door opened as if the person behind the door was sneaking back inside after a night of partying. After the door had opened slightly the head of a young-looking beast kin appeared. It had an almost completely human face with neatly kept hair that cascaded down behind its head, and on top were two ears that reminded Mikax of a fox.

Noticing that Mikax was no longer asleep the Fox kin pushed the door open fully and instantly did a very polite deep bow.

"Good afternoon, Sir, I am Phup. I hope that I haven't disturbed you, it's my duty to replace the food at mealtime for you and alert His Highness if you have awoken." The small fox girl said without ever even raising her head.

Mikax took this moment to try and gather his thoughts. The fox kin had mentioned a King. He could only think of one person who went by 'King' and was in the slums of a city ruling over the low-leveled nobodies. Also, he had never seen this type of clothing worn in E2 before. Not to say it couldn't happen just that you would completely stand out. The only thing that was familiar to him was the <Slave Bracelet> on her ankle. E2 had clothing from a more post-apocalyptic steampunk era however, the clothing worn by the young fox named Phup was more medieval. As this realization had dawned on him, he took a glance around the room once again. Nothing in the room seemed like something that he would see in E2.

"Alright, so where am I?" Mikax decided to jump straight to the point. He didn't fully expect a reply but it was worth a shot. If they left his weapons and gear behind and thought this lowly slave bracelet would have any effect on him then it was clear that they didn't know what they were doing.

As Phup listened to his question she slowly raised her head. "Of course, this is the Capital Mythden."

Feeling his headache coming back on Mikax asked his next question, "And what is Mythden the capital of?"

"Mythden is the capital of the Azran Kingdom." The young Phup stated as if she was being quizzed by a teacher and knew all the answers to the questions by heart.

It was after this statement that Mikax pressed his fingers together on the bridge of his nose. As far as he knew there was no city of 'Mythden' and he was sure that there was no Azran Kingdom. The other thing he was sure of was if a country had appeared suddenly in E2, The Misfits would have been among the first to know about it.

"So now that I am awake, when do I get to meet this King of yours?" Mikax didn't even bother hiding the exasperation in his voice. His head was hurting, he had no clue where he was, and the sooner her met this 'King' the sooner he could remove his slave bracelets to stop that increasingly annoying blinking status effect. He could see the mixed emotions on the face of Phup. The way that Mikax had talked about the King was enough to have Phup wiped at the very least.

"I will go and alert him now, is there anything you need in the meantime?" Phup questioned. "The food is probably cold; I can have something new prepared. You must be famished after not eating for almost 10 days."

Standing up abruptly Mikax took a few steps towards Phup. "Repeat that once, you said 10 days?" Mikax was visibly worried and upset.

The startled Phup immediately backed to the doorway" S-s-sir, y-y-ou were summoned here 10 days ago and were unconscious, the priests came to heal you but they said that you were not injured and must be exhausted from the summoning."

Stepping back to the bed Mikax uncovered his daggers and began staring at them. "Go tell your king I am ready for him whenever he is."

Phup noticed the blades on the bed and began to sweat. She could feel his intention clearly from across the room. She needed to alert someone immediately that the Hero that they had summoned was not sounding so heroic. As she closed the door, she took one last glance at the man meant to save their world and could swear she heard him laughing to himself. Immediately Phup took off towards the throne room to look for the King and his guards.

Mikax continued to laugh to himself as he walked towards the door. The fox kin had forgotten to lock the door behind her in her rush to get out of the room. He had no intention of leaving here before meeting this so-called 'King' and the easiest way to do that was to be escorted directly to him once he was summoned.

Slowly with practiced motions, Mikax placed his daggers back inside the sheathes under his cloak facing opposite directions on his back. Next, he placed his sword into the sheathe on his left before putting his holster and firearm on his right. He walked to the only wall with a shoddy reflective surface on it and took a long look at himself. He wasn't the most handsome man in the world but his body was lean and toned from years of combat. His brown hair was cut short and his eyes a bright azure blue that seemed to glow with anticipation.

The reason his mood had shifted so abruptly was that he had finally fully realized and accepted his situation. E2 had safety features that forced players out of the game after 5 in-game days if they hadn't logged out to ensure all players would eat and take care of basic needs that the game couldn't fully compensate for. That means that Mikax had missed two forced log-out times which has never happened even once to the best of his knowledge.

The other thing he noticed was that Phup had clearly said 'summoned'. Taking into consideration the difference in the transportation spell he experienced and the unknown locations described to him, it was safe to assume that this was no longer E2.

That means he would never see his brother or guild mates ever again and someone was going to pay.
