Chapter 1Chapter 1

Jasmine's pov

I am so excited, It feels like forever but I'm finally there. I'm in my final year in senior high and I'm really scared about my future ahead in college. I can't imagine how my life would turn out without my two favorite persons .they have been my friends since childhood and I can't bare the thought of loosing them. I'm excited that we got through this chapter together. I really miss Tristan and Talia. I can't wait to see them and fortunately for me I don't have to wait too long because that day is now today.

Just then, I heard a voice in my head. It was my Wolf and her name is Trix

"You know they're not dead Right?" Trix said. I could see her eyes roll in my head

"I know, I'm just excited I really miss them. It feels like forever since I last saw them—"I said

Almost immediately, I was interrupted by a knock on the door

"Jasmine honey, wake up dear.Don't sleep too long... remember school resumes today," mom said

"Moooom but I'm—"I said

"No no Jasmine not this time...you wouldn't want to be late on your first day now ,do you?Remember you are not the best at keeping a perfect attendance Record," mom said.

"OK..mom,"I said with a very plain tone

"Alright dear go take a shower and don't stay too long in there, you're already running out of Time"

I sighed and left for the bathroom..I brushed my teeth, took my bath and washed my hair.I stepped out of the bathroom with my robe wrapped around my body and my towel curled on top of my head to help hold my wet blonde hair.

"Jasmine come down and get your breakfast,"she yelled

"I'm coming mom ... just a minute,"I said with equal pitch

I looked at the mirror which revealed my perfectly toned body. My eyes, a hypnotic blue; People get lost in it, my hair; A long blonde, my lips; Perfectly placed and perfectly sized rose pink lips. I'm damn gorgeous. Alright I'm done with the self appraisals. Back to business. So where was I ...Oh yeah What kinda make up should I wear today. Hmmm...i don't want a flamboyant make-up and I definitely don't want to look like a goth... by the way it's just high school I'm not preparing for a wedding or anything big. I think I'll go with the light and simple makeup. I took my eye pencil and looked into the mirror to make sure it is perfectly drawn. I picked up my mascara from my table that is now decorated with all sorts of make-up materials. I carefully used the mascara to brush my lashes to create the illusion of a longer lashes. I took my red lip stick and dabbed it on my soft and delicate pink lips.I used my lips to even it up.

"What should I do to my hair,"I said not expecting a reply

"Jasmine why do you care so much about high school,"Trix said

"Why are you so grumpy"

She didn't reply and I decided not to press her any further.

I looked at my hair in the mirror and I finally decided to pack my blonde hair a messy bun letting a string come down at both sides . I looked into the mirror one last time to make sure I was satisfied with my look before leaving my room and more importantly my house. I can't be seen in school looking like a girl that doesn't have a mirror in her home let alone know how to use a brush. That will undoubtedly make me the topic of the semester. I cringed at the thought of that happening to me

"Jasmine there isn't need for any of this,"Trix said with an eye rolling expression.

"Alright something is wrong and I won't let it go like I did before"

"What do you mean by that"

"You know very well what I meant by that...you have been grumpy all day yesterday and also today"

"I know you better than that, you seriously can't expect me to believe you with that crap of a story"

"Nevermind it's nothing" her voice betrayed her

"I know you better than you think...you can't expect me to believe that,"I said with doubt clear in my voice

"It's just... don't bother"

"What's going on with you can't you confide in me anymore... keep in mind that your problem is mine as well"

"Well it's nothing...it's just that I haven't found him,"she said with sadness pure in her voice

Rolling my eyes I sighed, "not again"

"You seem to care about yourself alone"

"Of course not how could you say that? whatever affects you affects me as well. I know I'll find him later in due time... I'm not even 16 yet. So lets just hold on and wait for the right time to come."

"OK... you have a point there"

"Of course, I always do.Cheer up.in the meantime I can't wait to see Tristan and Talia...I miss them both so much"

Just then mom called me all the way from downstairs

"Jasmine dear come get breakfast you're already late, what are you still doing up there?"

"Oh shoot, I haven't gotten dressed ," I said audible enough for my hearing alone

"I'm coming Mom"

"That's what you said 20 minutes ago"

I opened my closet which showcased varieties of my outfits.

"it will take me forever to decide on what to wear"

I tried on a mini gown. But it turned out to be shorter than mini.

"I can't wear this outside. This was my size a few months back. It's like I added an inch to 5"3. Yeah I know I'm short" I said to myself

I finally decided to go casual and wear a sweatshirt. I slipped on a slip on and I was ready to go. I looked at the mirror one last time

"Jas get down here " mom yelled

I decided not to reply as I rolled my eyes and sighed exiting my room and heading for the stairs. Moments later I met her in the kitchen.

"Go eat breakfast, I prepared your favorite meal."

On hearing that my eyes tilted to the dinning table and true to her words the food was in fact my favorite. I didn't realize when I was salivating.I ate like I haven't eaten In days .I was stunned to realize how hungry I became. I didn't believe it myself until the dish in front of me was Out of sight. immediately I finished the food, I took my phone which was lying on the table. I checked my phone for any notification. I eventually found a missed call from Talia. I called her back immediately...It rang but the call wasn't accepted. I then decided to call her mother but it didn't go through. Without thinking I called Tristan, he picked up on the second ring.

"Hey Tristan"

"Hey I was just about to dial your number"

"What a coincidence"

"Indeed"

"Well.. I'm a bit worried "

"What's wrong"

"It's... It's Talia"

"What about her"

"Talia called me earlier this morning when I was getting prepared...I wasn't aware of the call so I didn't accept it . so I checked my phone a few minute ago to find her call that I missed and when I tried to calling her back she didn't accept it. Few minutes later I tried again and it didn't go through .i then decided to call her mom to find out what the problem was but it didn't go through as well. I am terrified at the moment. Idon't know what else to do.

"Did you hear from her this morning?"

"No, I planned to call her earlier but i didn't want to disturb her... you know how she hates being woken up from naps

"Oh yh , that's true...ok then we will go visit her after school"

"Ok then after school it is...so are you up for our regular routine"

"You know I am"

"So where are we meeting"

"At the moment, I'm a few blocks away from your house I'll see you in five minutes"

True to his words he came in just in time.

Will Zara fight the dangers that await or embrace her true destiny? **EXCERPT** "I... didn't want to be late for work. You seemed busy, so I thought I'd get a head start." Snow raised an eyebrow. "Really? Or is it because last night affected you so much that you couldn't stand being around me?" "Don't flatter yourself, Snow. You didn't affect me at all." He smirked, stepping closer. "Is that so?" His fingers brushed my chin, tilting my face up. My pulse quickened. "We're at work," I snapped, swatting his hand away. "This isn't professional." "You're my wife," he murmured. "You're supposed to obey me at all times." I bit back a retort, a hint of rebellion flaring within. Slowly, I stepped closer, letting my fingers graze his chest. His smirk wavered for a second when his wolf reacted and Snow bit his lips. "Careful, Boss," I purred seductively. "Don't hurt those lips. I'm sure plenty of girls would love to kiss them." Snow leaned down, his lips brushing my ear. "And you? Are you dying for a taste?" Caught off guard, I hesitated, then regained my composure as I looked him in the eyes. "Unlike other girls, I have strong resistance against—" I didn't get a chance to finish when Snow's lips crashed onto mine with a fierce kiss that left me breathless. *************** MATURE CONTENT Participating in the Viral Book Call Contest. Letters to Romeo.

[Mature Content. No Rape] 'All it took was breaking one rule that she was not supposed to' He was the bad boy with tattoos. She was the good girl with glasses, and she was his. — When Julianne Winters decides to move to the dormitory of the reputed University, she has everything planned so that she can complete her graduation and leave the place. But her plan is quick to catch fire from the moment the eyes of Roman Moltenore from senior year lands on her. And his appearance screams nothing but TROUBLE. "What rules?" Julianne asked with a frown as she read through the page. She was sure she hadn't seen any rules of the campus mentioned on their website. # 4. No using cell phones. # 12. Students should not roam outside the campus after eleven in the night. The further she read, the more bizarre it turned out to be. Her friend turned the page and then pointed at the last rule # 29. Listen to Roman Moltenore. "This is made up. Look, the last one is even written in pencil." Julianne couldn't believe that her friend from the next dorm thought she would fall for it. "And no phone?" "It is important you abide by all the rules. Especially number twenty nine," said the girl in a serious tone. "Remember not to get involved with Roman. If you happened to see him, run in the other direction. There is a reason why it is written down here." With the rules of the campus, she resorts to sending handwritten letters to her uncle. But who knew it would end up in someone else’s hand!
