Wendy put her index finger in front of her lips and made a shush gesture. Mrs. Green immediately zipped out her mouth as tears fell down her cheeks.
In the midst of the silence, Wendy picked up her phone and dialed a number. After waiting for some time, it was picked up.
Rory's cold voice came from the other line. "Wendy, I know it's you."
"Well, I’m glad you're not stupid. By the way, Mrs. Green has something to tell you." Wendy put the phone in front of the woman.
"Ms. Lane, I won't reverse the case. I don’t want to see you anymore. Besides, Tina's death is something we could not control. We should all look forward and move on from what happened."
In the next moment, Wendy took the phone back and urged sarcastically. "Did you hear that?"
"Wendy, as expected, you still use your filthy gestures. But do you really think this is the end?" Rory sneered.
