Don't ruin the mood

"Why are you quiet?" Nori asked, uncomfortable with Karina's silence. She just finished narrating everything that happened since they were taken away from the school. It's been exactly twenty-four hours, but to Nori, it felt like three days had passed already.

They were both sitting in the tub with water only reaching up to their waist level. Nori was backing Karina, while the latter cleaned her wounds and applied the ointment Cozan gave to Nori. They didn't know how it was supposed to be used, so she was just dabbing a little amount on each slash after cleaning it.

"I don't know what to say. This is too much to take in." Karina sighed. To hear that her parents are witches, kidnapped them, turned a blind eye when someone did such wickedness to their Nori, and were even planning to send her somewhere she would not see the outside world again, she didn't know what to think.
