Not Trusting Aldric

What does he want from her? Islinda's mind was all over the place. Just because Aldric flirted with her and pretended to be easygoing tonight doesn't mean he has let go of his not-so-secret agendas. He had ulterior motives for bringing her to this party and it was to harm Valerie, she believed. 

However, if what the Fae guards said about Valerie, then it wasn't going to be easy killing the crown prince. Aldric harming Valerie would be treason against the crown and as strong as Aldric was, he wouldn't be able to fight against an army of Fae coming for him. 

Perhaps, she was thinking too much and needed to take a breather. Who knows, Aldric was only trying to torment her? But why? She had taken good care of him in the human realm. But then, does the psychopathic Fae need a reason for the things that he does?
