2 Chapter 2

"Hurry up!" Asher yelled at me, "We're going to be late"

"I'm coming" I yell back down

Mother and father were already at the alpha kings castle. All the alphas were summoned there. It came out the 21 year old Alpha king though it would be a good idea to summon all of us. Word had it he had a witch guide him on what to do to get his mate.

I called for mother via the mind link, she informed me that most of the other packs don't believe in white wolves they think it's a bedtime story or a myth. Which has to be nervacking for her since she is a white wolf.

"I wouldn't be able to shift the whole time I'm there" I look at Asher as he's driving.

"I'm sorry alma but it's for your safety"

"What if I find my mate?"

"That would be a lot of explaining to do with every alpha around"

"Yes, but what if?"

Asher had found his mate a week ago, the soon to be alpha. She's from a neighboring pack, luckily her family and ours gets along but they don't know the family secret yet. I wish I knew when he was going to tell her?

"I have to make sure nothing happens to you first before she knows" he looks at me

He can't read my thoughts but he knows me well enough to know what is on my mind.

We drive 3 and a half miles til we make it to the village that's near the castle. And decided to stop for some food and use the restroom.

We find a book store with a cafe inside. I use the restroom and wonder around the books til I come across a book about the legend of the white wolves. I walk over to Asher who sees it and rolls his eyes at me.

Really?!?! He sends in our mind link

I'm curious to what they see them as, I tell him

The cashier we realize is staring at us.

"Do you have directions to this place?"

He hands her the note and give him direction on where to go of course we already knew. But he saw it as important for small talk.

"Was she?" He looks at me

"A shell?"

"That's sad" he feels bad for her

"I know"

Sometimes when we get rejected or our mates decide to mate someone else instead our wolves go into hiding from the sadness and we become a shell. Unable to communicate with our wolves.

My mother and I have the ability to bring the wolves back but sometimes the wolves get upset at their humans for it. It's simply a touch for me and I can call on the wolf but it can also create more damage than good based on the state of the wolf.

As we get closer to the castle my wolf starts howling.

"What's wrong?" I ask her

"He's here" she tells me excited

Crap!! I'm going to discover my mate in front of all the other packs and the full moon is coming. Crap!!!

"He's here" I look at Asher

"Fuck!" He's pissed

"I wish not so many other wolves were here when it happens" he tells me

"I know"

"We'll do what we can to protect you"
