8 MARK'S DEATH

Sydney's pov.........

"Seriously man you're nuts" Jude chuckled.

Early this morning when Hunter and Axel had already left for some business stuff,I told the girls and Mark and Jude that I had a feeling that something or someone was watching our every move from the forest outside the house and that maybe if we went and checked it out,we could find something that could give us a clue on who our enemy was and what he or she wanted. I expected help from the girls but No....... Alia needed rest because of her baby,Sia and Julia wanted to stay with her and take care of her and Sue had a date(was a date really more important than our life) so instead Mark and Jude came with me and now they were busy discussing about Mark's plan to take Sia on their honeymoon,i was not really in the mood for such small talk so I walked ahead of them

Mark frowned "what's nuts about it"

"You guys have been together for a long time now and honeymoon are for newly weds,you guys are not even married"

"I wanted to marry Sia but what did you guys tell me, 'we don't do marriage here' we are going for our honeymoon and there is nothing you can say to change or stop it"

"Whatever man". I suddenly stepped on a skull and screamed

"Sydney are you alright" Mark asked as they ran to meet me

"Yeah we heard you........what the hell"

Yes what the hell! On the path before us layed about a thousand dead bodies,some bodies were headless and the others....I can't say it,it was simply horrifying

"What happened here" Mark asked and I gulped "vampire feast" I was pretty sure of it,this was exactly what happened when vampires decided to have a huge feast and I wonder what they were celebrating for

"I'll go get Axel and Hunter" Jude said turning into an eagle and flying away.

"And there goes our transportation" Mark said and i chuckled. I suddenly heard someone moving in the bushes "Mark stay alert,someone is here"

"Sure thing boss".Just then something sharp pierced me on my neck and I fell to the floor knees down

"are you alright" I heard someone ask but that wasn't Mark's voice,I looked up only to see the face of my worst enemy CIRCE!!!!!!!. Circe was a psychotic hybrid(half vampire half witch) who was once my best friend and believe me when I say nothing is worse than hating your own best friend more than you ever loved her. Now let me tell you exactly why I hated Circe and desired nothing else but to kill her,she was responsible for the death of my siblings and my mum,she poisoned Beck once and even kidnapped my Dad twice all for a reason I never knew and she never told now I finally have the chance to rip off her head. I got up but staggered "have you finally decided to submit yourself for death Circe"

She laughed so loudly I was sure every creature in the forest heard her "Death,o no dear you can't kill me".My vision suddenly became blurry " what did you do to me"

"Nothing much darling". I pointed to the dead bodies "you did all this didn't you"

"Nah! that's a vampire feast you know,a whole bunch of vampis did that"

"Really,and you expect to believe you"

"You can choose to believe me or not i really don't care but am just a passerby"

I gritted my teeth "someone like you,can't just be a passerby,why are you really here"

"To be sincere, I was actually busy deciding who among that Alpha's pack you found yourself to kill next but I figured out they all mattered to you".I bared my claws "don't you dare hurt any of them"

She clicked her tongue in a pitiful manner "ohh I see its still a touchy subject for you,do you still miss your mama and siblings"

"Don't Circe" I warned but she ignored me "I can vividly remember how your mum begged as I killed all your siblings one by one" she licked her fingers "that was one of the best day of my life,its true what they say that royal blood taste best"

And then i lost it,I rushed and put my claws right through her stomach

"Sydney" Mark croaked and it was then I realized my claws were in his stomach and not Circe's,I quickly removed them and blood spilled out of his mouth as he dropped to the ground

"Mark" I gasped and knelt beside him,I tore a piece from my gown and put it on his stomach trying to stop the bleeding but it was of no use as blood kept spilling out of his mouth. Tears rolled my cheeks "please kill me if you want but don't let him die" I pleaded to Circe

I heard her demonic laughter all around the forest "but I can't save him even if I wanted to deary"

"What do you mean"

"That sharp pain you felt in your neck earlier on was me injecting you with claws poison so your claws that went through your friend was very poisonous"

I shook my head "please I know there is something you can do,its me you have something against he has not wrong you in any way please just save his life"

"You are right Sydney but I find more pleasure when the people you care about die a pitiful death"

"Mark.....am....so....sorry" I apologized in between tears

"Its okay Sydney,you are not at fault" he assured me and that made me cry the more

"Now you can't blame me for killing your friend Sydney" I heard Circe say "you killed your friend with your own hands and you are going to live with that guilt all the rest of your vampire life sweetheart"

"Tell Sia and the others am sorry,I won't be able to take her for our honeymoon" he whispered and closed his eyes

"And he is dead,such youthful life wasted all because of you" Circe mocked

"What happened here" I heard Jude ask,I did not even notice when they had arrive

"O my goodness,Mark" I heard Hunter gasp. Then I saw Axel,he stumbled back and blinked as if trying to be sure that what he was seeing was real "Ma...Mark". He knelt beside him and cut his wrist putting it in Mark's mouth but Mark didn't even blink,Axel got up and carried him in his hands.

I did not realize I was still on the ground and shaking until Hunter carried me in his hands " its going to be alright okay",I wept on his chest soaking his chest but he didn't even seem to mind. When we arrived at the house,Sia opened the door and when she saw Mark's limb body in Axel's hands she shook her head "I felt it that something was wrong with him,put him on the couch".Axel put him on the couch and Sia holding a cup and a knife went to sit beside him,she cut her wrist and poured it in the cup then she opened his mouth and poured it in but he didn't blink. By this time,Hunter had already put me down and went to soothe Alia who was weeping,Sue and Julia were also crying and tears dropped from Jude's eyes. Sia was about to cut her wrist again when Selena rushed to her and threw the knife away"what do you think you are doing Sia"

"My blood can wake him up I know it can so am giving it to him"

"It won't Sia you are only hurting yourself"

"I don't care my Queen I just want him back".She was not crying and it was not a good thing,she was completely shattered

Selena shook her head " his not coming back Selena his gone for good".The Queen was trying to make her cry but Sia was smiling "no his just sleeping,when he wakes up we are going on our honeymoon"

"She has to cry" Axel stated. Sue walked up to Sia still crying but Sia wiped away her sister's tears "why are you crying Sue,his not dead his just tired you know he just came back from hunting with Jude and Sydney so his just resting"

"Sia sit down" Sue offered but Sia shook her head "I will sit later but right now I have to go prepare hot coffee for Mark

"Sia.... Hunter began to day but she continued talking "and then am going to prepare our baggage so when he wakes up we can go for our honeymoon".She started to go upstairs but then her eyes rolled up to her head and she collapsed,everyone rushed to her and Jude scooped her up in his hands.

"Take her upstairs to her room" Axel ordered but I could hear the pain in his voice,how was he still in total control when he just lost one of his pack members,and I heard one of the greatest pain of an Alpha is losing his pack member.

"I'll attend to her" Alia said and she and Sue followed Jude who had an unconscious Sia in his hands upstairs now it was just me,Julia,Selena,Hunter and Axel left in the main room.

Queen Selena walked up to Mark's bedside,she kissed his forehead and whispered some strange things and suddenly his essence started dissolving till he was no more

"We didn't even get to say goodbye" Julia sniffed and that was all I could take,my legs gave way and I collapsed to the ground and just then I felt myself been scooped up in Axel's arm

"Poor thing,she's completely traumatized am sure it was a terrifying sight for her" I heard Queen Selena say in pity. I was traumatized but only because I could not bring myself to tell them that I had killed their Mark.
