3 Chapter 3

Murmuring of voices grew louder as she felt herself coming back to consciousness. She couldn't quite make out what they were saying, her mind still felt too mushy to allow her to hear clearly.

A low rumble of a growl broke through the room however and everyone became completely silent. It was almost as if an inaudible commend had been given through that one sound. A command only those who were speaking could understand.

"Alright, everyone out since you can't seem to behave. I don't care how curious you or what you want to know- OUT." the new voice command in a gentle yet powerful tone.

"Yes, I do mean you as well. I don't care what type of look you give me. She's my patient and I don't want you scaring her again. Yes I can do that because you you're only slightly older than me and I have that right." there more hushed bickering that followed this before receding footsteps and the sound of a door closing were followed by complete silence.

The only remaining werewolf in the room sighed as he scratched his head. They were always so much trouble.

He was on the shorter side as human, standing only at 5'6. What drew attention more than his height was the silver hair atop his head and the matching color of his eyes.

"Sorry about that, they can be a bit rowdy. I got them all to leave so you can rest a while longer if you need." the werewolf informed her gently as he came closer to the bed in order to be able to examine her properly.

"Are you feeling alright, Celeste?" He asked when he noticed the rather confused expression that was on her face.

"I'm sorry, I went through your things and saw your name on your ID. I swear I only did it to make sure nothing was missing and to see if you had an emergency contact listed on anything." He assured her though the expression on her face didn't change after hearing this.

"What happened?" She suddenly asked. Her head was hearting so much that it was hard for her to think back to what happened. She knew it was something important but she couldn't bring it to the front of her mind.

"Oh well according to my brother, you passed out after witnessing something a little gruesome for humans to handle. A case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time I believe they explain it as." The other replied as he felt her head, at least she didn't seem to have a fever anymore.

"By the way the name is Crescent." He said introducing himself with a smile. He moved away from the bed to go and get her a bottle of water and the blood pressure monitor. He needed to make sure that she was in a more stable condition before he could let anyone else in to see her.

"You already met my brother from what I understand." He commented as he came back over to the bed. He carefully helped Celeste sit up so that she could take the bottle of water.

"Brother?" Celeste asked confused as she moved her left arm so Crescent could put the blood pressure cuff around it. It was only then that she realized her jacket had been taken off.

"Bane?" He asked as made sure everything was secure before he turned the machine on. She shook her head in response to his question. As far as he could remember, she didn't know anyone by that name. Her mind still felt foggy as she tried to recall the events that had happened before she passed out. She knew it was something important, she just couldn't quite remember..

Like a train the memories of what occurred hit her in a quick succession on mental flashes that caused her blood pressure to spike on the monitor as she let out a gasp.

"Hey calm down, it's okay. You're safe here." Crescent tried to reassure her as he gently put his hand on her chest to stop her from trying to stand up. He still didn't know if it was safe for her to move freely since he didn't know if she just passed out from the stress or if something else was wrong.

"No, no. I need to get out of here before he comes back." Celeste replied rather frantically as she tried force her way to standing up even though she wasn't much of a match against Crescent.

"Who?" he asked rather confused about what had the little human in such a panic.

"The werewolf." She replied slightly short of breath as she tried to move the hand off the middle of her chest. He gave her a confused look, which werewolf was she talking about? She probably wasn't aware of it, but she was currently surrounded by werewolves, but who exactly was she referring to.

"By 'The Werewolf' I believe she would be meaning me." The alpha spoke from the front of the hospital room as he stood leaning against the door. He was no longer in his werewolf form but had shifted to his human, thinking that Celeste wouldn't be as frightened of him if he looked like her.

Standing at 6'2 tall he still was an imposing figure who maintained the powerful and dominant aura that he held in his werewolf form. His sharp golden eyes were fixed on the girl rather than on his brother.

"You know that you can't go anywhere now." Bane told her as he moved away from the entrance of the door and took a step towards the bed Celeste was laying in. Even though he looked human, she still felt almost as intimidated by him as before.

Crescent had already been expecting the other to react this and moved to step in front of him before anything happened. Bane stopped of course and shifted his attention to the shorter werewolf who was standing in front of him.

"You know that we talked about this already, Bane. You can't be like this from the start." Crescent warned as he locked gazes with his brother. Even though he was an omega, he had no problem standing up to Bane because he was his brother and one of the few wolves in the pack that he would pay any heed to in these type of situations.

"And what, you think just letting her go like nothing happened is the better option?" Bane challenged as he looked past the other to where Celeste was. Lying was pointless in his opinion, what was point of shielding someone from facts and reality?

She might not have been a part of their world nor understood what she had witnessed or even what they were. The fact however was that the Moon Goddess had paired this little human with the intimidating Alpha and there was nothing that could be done about it.
