Chapter 25: Fever_1

As expected, the woman's forehead was burning; she clearly had a high fever.

Only then did Pei Jingchuan recall Jiang Yuzhu with a rosy face nestled in his arms last night. He thought she was only shy; he didn't realize it was the effect of a fever.

Fearing that Jiang Yuzhu might have been feverish all night, he immediately called a driver and took her to the hospital.

"Doctor Jiang appears to be overworked recently, leading to some weakness. Coupled with her bad mood, she ended up getting a fever." The doctor diagnosed.

"Is it serious?" Pei Jingchuan asked.

"It's not serious. She will be fine once the fever subsides, but she needs to rest properly after this."

Upon hearing the doctor's reassuring words, Pei Jingchuan breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank you, doctor."

Just as the doctor had left, Jiang Yuzhu awakened on the hospital bed.

She was a bit confused, looking at her surroundings, some familiar and some unfamiliar.
