14 14: Divine Sword sect

[A few minutes earlier... elder's discussion.]

"What do you think, Sect Master?" The elders asked after explaining Talen and Wen's fight in detail.

Standing proudly in front of the elders was a tall, large and bulky strong man. His hair was orange, short, and frizzy. He had a sword on his black waist sash with a shield on his back. He was known as Duron Hans, but more commonly, the Sect Master of the Divine Sword sect.

"Do you have this boy's name?" The man asked.

"Well, we haven't asked yet but we were definitely going to," a random elder replied.

"Well, then, hurry up! I need to know who this random as$ kid is!"

"Well, what kind of disciple should we put him as?" Elder Bai asked in a small voice.

"I don't f*cking care, just make him an outer disciple so he'll stay longer."

Edler Bai was about to leave when the Sect Master stopped her.

"Wait," the large man took out a writing pen, ink, and a small piece of paper. After writing something down he handed the note to her. "He'll stay in here,"

Elder Bai quickly bowed and left the group.

"We've decided what kind of disciple to put you as,"

The words made Wen stand up as fast as an arrow.

"Yes?"

"We've decided to put you as an outer disciple,"

"What?! Why?"

The elder sighed. "Although you're great at wielding a sword, your cultivation is straight out sh*t," the elder responded honestly. If the Sect Master himself didn't choose what Wen would be, the elders probably still would've chosen him to be an outer disciple due to his weak cultivation base.

Wen shrugged, "I just got a spirit cultivation technique a few months ago, that's why my cultivation is low,"

"Well, no excuses. Talen will lead you to your dwelling place." The elder handed Talen a small note. Before the elder left, she remembered something. "Sh*t I almost forgot, I'm going to need to see your identifications real quick,

Without hesitating, Wen handed elder Bai his Id.

"Shen Sears, 16 years old, born on the 7th Month 22nd day and from the Sun Empire…" Wen nodded.

"Alright Shen, Talen will lead you to your house, or dorm, whatever you want to call it, and oh, you should buy a copy of the sect map, it'll help a lot,"

"Thank you elder Bai,"

"So what happened?" The Sect Master asked the elder.

Elder Bai told him of everything that happened, which wasn't much. "So, Shen Sears, 16 years old and from the Sun Empire, our sponsor,"

"Correct," Elder Bai nodded.

"Sigh, did you ask him anything about why he came here?"

"Um, no, but I did tell Talen to befriend him and keep a watch on him,"

The bulky man nodded, "That's fine, make sure to learn his background though, something feels off about him,"

"Sect Master, may I ask why you are so interested in this new disciple?"

"Yeah yeah, sure. This new character, he seems, peculiar. His young age, great talent, other than his cultivation, and his being masked. And to top it all off, he isn't a regular who comes every month to get in the sect, instead, he's someone who came in randomly with all his weird traits,"

Elder Bai nodded, "I suppose, but why do you think he came here?"

The Sect Master shrugged, "Probably just because he fancies someone,"

Sect Master Duron Hans. Because he is a large intimidating person, that didn't actually mean he's is a large intimidating person who's selfish and means. But, alas, he is. He is a person who cares about himself more than others, a person who would do almost anything for their own personal gain, and a person who would destroy and kill anyone better than them or who has something he wants or likes. Overall, he's a selfish man. However, adding to all these bad traits, he is also double-faced, hiding his "dark side" from everyone else. But, who would know except himself?

"So, this is your humble abode!" Talen announced.

After going through a series of stairs, Talen and Wen finally made it to where Wen would stay at. At this moment, they were standing in front of a regular door with the number 420.

"So, this is my room?"

"Well, yes, of course, what, did you want to live with me or something?" Talen chuckled as Wen stared at him intensely. "Y-you don't really- I- I like girls, not b-boys-" Talen panicked, mistaking Wen's stare.

"Um, same, so, open the door?"

"O-oh yeah. Wait, I don't have a key, you'll have to get it from a sect elder,"

"Really? Then why did we go all the way here!?"

Talen shrugged, "Oops, I guess my brain has been hurting because of blood loss," Wen winced at the comment.

"So where do we go now?" Wen groaned.

"I don't know, if you want, I'll give you a tour of the sect,"

"That sounds boring, just give me a map, I want to go to the library,"

"Sigh, Shen, you're such a boring person..." Talen sighed and a map appeared in his hands.

"Map?"

"Yeah, the map of the Divine Sword sect. It isn't specific it only tells where paths and buildings are. There are no maps that show the whole insides of any buildings because of potential spies from other sects or small kingdoms,"

"I see, thanks,"

Now, Wen was going to collect information while pretending to explore.

"Wait, before you go, you should get your sash from an elder too, just tell them your name and they'll give you one that's red, meaning you're an outer court disciple.

"Oh yeah, thanks, nearly forgot,"
