23 Shadow Path

Daniel woke up. He opened his eyes to see Myra looking down at him. She blushed when she saw that he was awake. "Hi" he said, calmly. He looked around and saw that he was back at the camp. The other four heroes sat around a fire. "He's awake" Myra shouted to the others. Daniel could see Catherine, relieved. But she didn't show it though. She didn't even come and see him. But Daniel knew she secretly cared...

Daniel wasn't angry at her anymore. He wasn't angry at himself. They had finally got their next goal. Now was the hard part, to make sure everyone goes along with the plan. He took a deep breathe and told what he saw in the forest. Surprisingly, no one objected. They listened to his opinion very carefully.

When he was finished, Catherine spoke "I'm not sure about this, leaving the other five" she said. "But this mysterious person has helped you before?" she said. "He must be telling the truth" she said. Catherine couldn't find a reason not go trust Daniel. Even though he might have messed up, he was one of the strongest of the ten. And this man has helped the boy many times before, even saved his life once of twice. Catherine secretly wished she had someone that looked after her.

"He must be telling the truth" she said. "But I'll only go with it as long as everyone else does as well" Catherine continued. Daniel crossed his fingers. The other three heroes started to nod their heads. "I agree with Daniel" Myra said. "As long as Catherine is coming along, I'm going as well" Alicia said. Everyone waited for Igor to respond. After a while, he said: "Sure" he said.

Daniel sighed of relief. "But there's a problem" Catherine said. "We still don't know how to find this Shadow Path. "Don't worry about that" Daniel said. Daniel didn't know why he said that, but he had a feeling he had the answer to find the Shadow Path, even though he didn't know. Daniel closed his eyes. He thought about a trial, leading him all the way to the Lord of Destruction's tower.

He opened his eyes again and saw nothing. Daniel closed his eyes again. He was determined. This time, a clearer image popped into his head. It was a faint blue aura-like thick line, that slowly fainted and then became clearer. Daniel opened his eyes and smiled. There was a faint blue line dimming in and out right in front of him.

"Can you see that?" Daniel asked the others. "See what?" Catherine answered, after looking at the direction Daniel was looking at. "The Shadow Path"
