11 Reflecting

Ben's POV

Every morning I stare at the Omnitrix.

After upgrading it , it recalibrated to feed my personal desires. The white chords and dial were now glowing white - silver and radioactive green. The four buttons on the faceplate were replaced with grey ocular arrow printed squares. There was an additional band of dark grey running around the center of the Omnitrix, the activation button was on this strip and the rim of the dial is white and white support tubes surround the dial for extra protection.

I stare at it every day and every night, thinking ....

Am I worthy ?

I am brave in battle, I use it to defeat the enemies of the universe, I am defending the weak and helpless, putting myself in harms way for the sake of others .

Does that make me worthy ?

I use to discover new ways of curing human diseases, pollution, space travel, solving scientific problems through my ( now with the monopoly on advanced multipurpose alien technology ) multinational conglomerate DIAL , add failsafe upon failsafe so that no one and I mean NO ONE can use it for evil. Ever [1]

Does THAT make me worthy ?

Superheroes save innocent bystanders. That's why there are superheroes. To save people.

I don't know why I'm here or whose fault it is . If it was the world's fault. The universe's, God's. Somebody's. Whatever cosmic jerk had set up everything so that it was me who saved everyone all the time, without fail.

It doesn't matter.

I won't falter.

Whether Azmuth finds me worthy or not , I'll never stop fighting for what's right. With or Without the Omnitrix.

Besides now have the resources and knowledge to make my own .

It doesn't matter.

When its hero time, I'll be there ....
