3 Chapter 3 the Enlightenment Card

"Say it again, Gary!"

Roken Lawrence looked at Gary Lawrence in disbelief.

"It's true, uncle Roken. I'm chosen! "

Gary Lawrence smiled at Roken Lawrence, showing his white teeth.

Besides, I can take my family with me. Let's go. Uncle Ken, we can hire a cart to take you to tulip manor. "

Roken Lawrence nodded vigorously and looked around.

"You don't have to bring anything with you. The Claude family will definitely order clothes for you. I still want to bring some, and this..."

Roken Lawrence quickly put all his things into the only small suitcase they had in Delhi city.

At this moment, he was holding an old metal pendant in his hand. He opened the outer shell of the circular pendant, in which there was a portrait of a beautiful woman.

Gary Lawrence looked at his curiously.

This was Roken Lawrence's most precious pendant. He had only seen it in the hands of some rich people. He didn't know how Roken Lawrence got it.

After the two of them cleaned up, Gary Lawrence gave the remaining 4 copper coins to his neighbor, Delio Ogus, in exchange for a simple wooden cart.

Delio Ogus helped Gary Lawrence to push the wheelchair. "I agreed to lend it to you."

Gary Lawrence rolled his eyes and said crossly, "How could I steal your wooden cart? I'm going to be a servant for the noble! You can go with us. Then we can push the wooden carriage back! "

Delio Ogus snorted. Obviously, he didn't believe it.

It was not so easy to be a servant of a noble family. They had to get along with certain relationship!

Delio Ogus looked up and down at Gary Lawrence.

He was so poor that he couldn't afford the money to get through!

Delio Ogus thought that maybe the Lawrence were going to leave Delhi City, so he made up an excuse to save face.

But this reason was too ridiculous.

After a second thought, Delio Ogus helped him carry the shopping cart.

The three headed for tulip manor.

From afar, Gary saw many people standing at the gate of the manor.

Some of them were old and some were young, with their luggage on their backs, and some were pushing a cart like him.

Looking at the huge manor in front of him, Delio Ogus couldn't help but feel surprised.

"I've lived in the slum for a long time, but I've never seen such a big manor. Look at the door, it's bigger than several buildings of us! "

Gary Lawrence rolled his eyes at him. "You should thank me for taking you here in terms of your poor experience!"

Seeing that he really pushed the trolley to the registration place at the gate of the manor, Delio Ogus whispered in his ear, "Have you really been chosen?"

Gary Lawrence laughed, "So you don't believe me? Look! "

Gary Lawrence put down the trolley and said something to Roken Lawrence. Then he walked towards a servant at the gate of the manor.

The servant was signing up with notes in his hand.

Delio Ogus looked at Gary Lawrence, who was talking to the servant, in a mess.

How could he be selected as a male servant of a noble family? He doesn't know how to move bricks or cook!

  What about him?

Gary Lawrence came back with a smile. "Uncle Roken, they said they would give you a wooden wheelchair and let the doctor check you. I think it's a good idea to deduct the fees from my first month's salary. What do you think? "

Roken Lawrence wanted to refuse, "you'd better save the money and be an apprentice then..."

But before he could finish his refusal, several men appeared at the gate of the manor, one of whom was pushing a wooden wheelchair.

Gary Lawrence helped Roken Lawrence sit on a wooden wheelchair and waved at Delio Ogus.

Delio Ogus pushed the trolley and left in a daze. Nobody knew what he was thinking.

It must be a heavy blow to him!

Gary Lawrence rubbed his chin. This was a farewell gift for Delio Ogus. He had taken good care of him and uncle Roken these days.

It would be better if he could change his peaceful state and force him to advance!

At dinner time, all the new male servants were ready.

The family members were all taken to the small town in the suburb to settle down.

Gary Lawrence and others were all left in the main manor and changed into new uniforms.

"From now on, you will live in this room. This is your uniform. Each of you has two suits. You will have new uniforms every month. "

The butler stood at the door of their room and ordered seriously.

"Your task is to follow the orders of Sir Bentley, accompany him and make him happy at any time."

"This is your leader, Belen Dales. You can ask him if you need anything."

  Belen Dales nodded to everyone.

The butler took a look at the new servants and suddenly called out a man's name.

  "Gary Lawrence!"

  "Here!" Gary Lawrence replied loudly.

"Come with me. Sir Bentley wants to see you! "

Gary Lawrence's eyes twinkled. Did Sir Bentley take a fancy to him?

He immediately lowered his head and followed the butler obediently.

What he didn't know was that one of the remaining 7 servants looked at his back with malice and jealousy.

Through the long corridor, Gary Lawrence saw a huge round door at the end.

The butler walked forward and knocked on the side door gently.

"Sir Bentley, here the servant is! "

Gary Lawrence didn't hear the sound inside, but the side door opened silently.

The butler waved at Gary Lawrence and said, "Remember to make Sir Bentley happy!"

Gary Lawrence tidied up his new clothes and walked in respectfully.

In front of the huge French window, Bentley Claude was sitting on a magenta coriaceous sofa, reading a book in his hand.

  "Sir Bentley!"

Gary Lawrence bowed respectfully, which he learned from observing other male servants.

Bentley Claude turned around and saw Gary Lawrence come in. He closed the book in his hand and put it aside.

  "Take a seat."

Gary Lawrence sat obediently opposite Bentley Claude.

"You sing that song a few more times. I don't sleep well recently. "

  Gary Lawrence nodded and hummed.

While he was singing, his eyes fell on the cover of the book at the hand of Bentley Claude.

There was a black card on the white page of the book.

The card is illuminated with a special note.

Gary Lawrence recognized the word for no reason.

It didn't seem to be the words of this world, nor was it the words of his previous world.

  But he knew it.

  It was a word "magic"!
