6. 'Death' of the Baldy

This one is quite long with 1881 words ignoring those little notes of mine.

Next Morning In Hogwarts Headmaster's Office.

"Thanks for letting us stay here Albus. We'll be taking our leave now." Augusta Longbottom said while nodding towards Dumbledore.

"It's my pleasure, Lady Longbottom." Replied Dumbledore with his signature kind smile as he led the Longbottom family towards his floo network.

After seeing them off he turned towards the other people present in the room and said "We should also get going, the earlier we put that charm the better."

"Okay Headmaster, We've already decided that Sirius will be our secret keeper," said

James.

"I think you should consider that decision of yours. It'll be a matter of time before Dark Lord realizes that you guys are living under fidelius and they will surely think Sirius is the secret keeper due to reasons you all know. I think Pettigrew might be a better option as no one will suspect him of being a secret keeper" said Dumbledore while caressing his white beard.

Inside the Longbottom's manor. The Longbottoms came out of the fireplace one after another. After everyone came, Alice Longbottom took her child and said " I'm going to feed Nev. He's hungry" and went towards her room.

After his wife's departure, Frank Longbottom turned towards his mother and asked "Mother after becoming Lord of the House Longbottom I got the knowledge of all the properties we have and I don't remember any of them being under Fedilius charm. Is this house you mentioned not under Longbottom's name?"

"We don't have any property under that charm Frank"

"Then Why did you say that to Headmaster Dumbledore? He was ready to help us to set up that charm for our safety."

"You don't understand Frank. Albus Dumbledore is not how he shows himself to be. I always wanted you guys to not get involved in this war but you and Alice didn't listen to me"

"I understand mother that you don't like the headmaster and even I have some suspicions towards him, but many innocents are dying in this war, I don't want them to die just because some stupid dark Lord wants to rule over our world. But now even our little Neville's life might be in danger because of some dumb shit prophecy."

"Language Frank!"

"Sorry mother but I'm just worried."

"So am I. And you should never think lowly of a prophecy and that too if that prophecy is made by a Trelawney it is more likely to be true as they are the descendants of the Great Seer."

After thinking for a while she continued "My sister lives in America and one of the her houses is under fidelius. We'll be leaving Europe and will be living with her till this war ends."

"But mother, we have our duties here. We can't just leave like this."

Augusta Longbottom stared at her son for a few seconds and sighed "*sigh..* You're an adult Frank so I won't interfere in your matters but for the safety of my grandson and the future heir of Longbottom house I'll be taking him with me to America. You and Alice have a day to decide what to do. We'll be using a portkey to directly teleport to one of her mansions. I'm going to inform her of our arrival." Saying so she left towards her room as Frank also went towards his room to decide.

It's been around a few months since the Potter Family started living in their new house in Godric's Hollow under fidelius Charm personally cast by the Great Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore himself. [A/N spelling his name for the first and last time]

The life of potter couples have been quite joyous to say as they didn't have to worry about the safety of their children.

Sometimes James goes on some missions or rescue operations issued by The Order, even though they are not necessary to keep himself in shape and not get rusty by just lazing around and playing with his kids.

Their friends drop by from time to time to meet them and play with the twins.

It could be said that their life was going on pretty well.

31st October 1990, Halloween night

The Potter's house was in the festival mood. Lily Potter was preparing for a feast as James was having fun with his children when suddenly the doorbell rang. "It might be either Sirius or Lupin as Peter already informed that he won't be becoming. James, can you please open the door?" The voice of Lily from the kitchen.

"Okay Boss," replied James as he went for the door.

As James opened the door, instead of the faces of his friends what greeted him was a wand pointed towards his face and a voice he knew very well to whom it belonged to

"CRUCIO"

Without even having any time to register what was happening his body was assaulted by a pain he never felt in his life as he fell on the floor screaming and squirming "ARGH.."

"JAMES! what happened to you?" came Lily as she ran towards the door where she was stunned by what she saw.

Lots of men in black cloaks fully covered with no parts visible, each of them having a wand drawn led by a man dressed in a cloak similar to others with glowing green linings. Unlike others, he wasn't covering his head with the hood of the cloak making his bald head and snake-like face clearly visible to everyone, having his wand towards the man she loves who was squirming on the ground while trying to suppress his painful moans. "Li...Lily...The Kids...take them away from here."

Registering the words of her husband she quickly made a decision and turned away from there and made a run towards her children when she heard a spell fired towards her by a random cloaked figure "Stupify."

Dodging the spell she drew her wand and casted "Tenebris Fumi." As the words left her mouth a huge amount of dense black smoke came out from her wand filling up the area where the cloaked figures were standing making it almost impossible to see even a single foot ahead.

After casting she didn't even look back as she went towards her children. Just as she was a few meters away from them she found herself being unable to move even a bit as she fell on the floor.

"So these are the little angels that Dumbledore wanted to protect? How cute they look. Such a bad thing, as one of them, might become a hindrance towards my noble goal." said Voldemort while walking towards the kids who were already crying.

As he reached in front of the crib that held the twins he once again started his monologue. "The Wizarding World is just the beginning. There is so much more to conquer in this world and I don't want to take any risk so you little buddies who might become someone to be equal to the great Voldemort in the future have to die."

"Leave them alone!...don't hurt them...not them!" came the faint voice of Lily, making him stunned as he turned his face towards her and said " you can speak in that situation? I'm impressed by you mud blood. you should feel proud. And as your gift, I will allow you to witness the death of your children"

"AVADA KEDAVRA!" Shouted Voldemort as a green light came out from his wand and proceeded towards the twins.

Seeing the death curse inching towards her kids Lily cried out in anger and despair "Nooo!" As she passed out.

Just as the curse was about to hit the twins a grey light came from Lily's body at an unimaginable speed and went inside both children's bodies as a goldish protective layer covered them making one of the unforgivable curses, the most dangerous one that can never be 'blocked' by any kind of shield to bounce back and return towards where it came from hitting Voldemort in his chest without giving him any chance to react to the a sudden change of events as his body started turning into ashes accompanied by his blood curdling scream.

Hearing the scream of their Lord the Death eaters decided to check the situation inside but were soon interrupted by the Aurors and the members of Order accompanied by Sirius and Lupin making them run away.

After chasing away the death Eater's Sirius ran inside the house only to find fainted James near the door.

Casting a quick enervating charm on James he tried to ask what happened which was ignored by the latter as he ran up towards the room where the twins were followed by Sirius and Lupin.

Reaching there he found Lily and the kids unconscious on the floor and their cribs respectively.

Casting Enervate on Lily he waited for her to wake up which resulted in no results for a few seconds. Feeling something might be wrong with his casting he did it once again with no result. Frustrated by not getting any result he cast it, again and again, more than a dozen times. " Why isn't she waking up?"

"Severe magic exhaustion James." replied the voice of Dumbledore who no one knew when entered the room and was standing near the crib of the twins.

"Headmaster, When did you come?"

"I just got the news of what happened and apparated here as soon as I was able to. Your wife is fine James. She is just suffering from severe Magic exhaustion due to reasons I have no idea about. Although her life is not in danger, I don't have any idea about how much time she'll be in this situation. Though the condition of one of your children maybe even worse than her from what I can see."

"What? What happened to my children."

"Can't say anything for now but it'll be better to get them to St. Mungo as soon as possible."

"Sirius, Lupin get little ones. I'll take Lily. Let's use the floo. Headmaster, are you coming with us?"

"You guys go ahead. I will instruct the Aurors outside what happened here and will come afterwards."

"Okay, then we're going." Saying so he picked up Lily in his arms and went towards the fireplace of the house followed by Lupin and Sirius with each carrying one of the twins.

As they disappeared one after another in the floo he turned his attention towards what remained of the Dark Lord as he frowned and murmured "The Ancient Magic. How was she able to use it? I've been searching for ways to use that magic my whole life with close to no results. But then comes a mudblood, a low life who was able to do it. How infuriating."

"Anyways Everything is according to the plan anyways. Once I complete that ritual I'll be able to access the lost knowledge of Ancient Magic and become the most powerful wizard." saying so he went outside where he saw Aurors and Lords and Ladies of some noble families present there talking among each other.

Using a sonorous he announced "Ladies and gentlemen, today I'm happy to announce that the Dark Lord is defeated by Henrietta Lily Potter As prophesied by Sybill Trelawney. We won this war!"

After a silence of a few seconds registering the words of Dumbledore everyone cheered "Hurray!".
