17 Blocked by That Wretched Girl

Ming Qu was personally sent home by Gu Yuzhen. Outside the Ming family villa, they ran into Ming Lai, who was also being sent home by her fiancé.

As Ming Lai curiously watched Ming Qu step out of a luxury car, she grew suspicious.

She had begun to approach the car when she was stopped by Ming Qu. "Sister, what are you doing?"

Back in the car, Gu Yuzhen had wanted to say goodbye to Ming Qu when an unfamiliar face appeared.

Fortunately, Ming Qu, who was outside, was quick-witted.

"Old Zhang, drive."

The doors closed with a bang as the car pulled away.

Ming Lai stared begrudgingly at the black Rolls-Royce, which by now had driven far away. After a while, she withdrew her gaze, turning to glare at Ming Qu.

"Who is he? That was clearly not Second Master Lin!"

"Brother-in-law just left. Do you want me to call him back to see how his fiancé is acting?"

"Ming Qu, you..!"

Ming Lai was enraged as she turned around, walking into the courtyard.

Ming Qu followed behind her. She took a final look at the spot where the car had been before she moved.

As she entered the house, she noticed that Ming Zhicheng wasn't in the living room. Only Mother Ming was around, sitting quietly without saying a word.

Seeing as the two sisters entered one after the other, Mother Ming stared at Ming Qu with a dark look plastered across her face.

"Ming Qu, come here!"

She could tell that she was in trouble. Ming Qu could only lower her head as she approached Mother Ming. Just as she turned the corner, a teapot flew straight at her.

She just barely managed to dodge it in time. Her face turned ghostly pale.

With a crash, the ceramic teapot shattered on the ground.

Ming Qu stared at the woman before her, the corners of her mouth trembling.

This woman was really ruthless. She actually tried to hurt her!

"I asked you to go on a blind date. What did you do?!"

A fierce voice echoed in the living room.

Ming Qu stood silent for a long time. Without looking at her, she turned around and walked up the stairs.

Mother Ming's voice behind her had grown to a roar. "You have rebelled against Heaven's will!"

Ming Qu's footsteps did not falter. The corners of her mouth curled into a smile.

Rebelled against Heaven's will? She wanted to rebel against the Ming family!

After she'd gone into her room, the commotion downstairs gradually died down.

Seeing that her mother was furious, Ming Lai quickly sat down to comfort her. She informed her that Ming Qu had just been sent home by someone else.

Upon hearing this, the raging Mother Ming calmed down slightly.

"Did you see who it was?"

"No. I was about to, when I was blocked by that wretched girl."

Ming Lai's lips snarled as she grumbled.

Now and back then, there were people sending her off?

Ming Lai's heart began to pound as she looked up towards the second floor.

That girl was becoming more and more mysterious, she could no longer see through her.

On the next day, Ming Qu was once again arranged for a blind date.

Before she arrived at her destination, however, she was kidnapped by Gu Yuzhen.

"Sir, I'm in the middle of something right now."

Gu Yuzhen had personally gotten out of his car, and had forced the taxi to stop. He carried Ming Qu out of the backseat to his car.

"I haven't had lunch yet. Come with me."

Ming Qu hugged his neck as she rolled her eyes.

Coincidentally, the place he brought her to was the restaurant where her blind date was planned.

Ming Qu noticed this and was about to ask, but before she could, Gu Yuzhen pressed his hand against her lips, gesturing for her to keep quiet.

The two of them got out of the car and entered the restaurant. They immediately attracted the attention of many.

Gu Yuzhen had a tall and muscular build, while Ming Qu appeared petite and delicate. They may have looked strange together from afar, but they could also be perceived as an older brother and younger sister pair.

"This seems to be the place I was headed to."

"For a blind date, right? Look, over there."

Ming Qu muttered softly, but it was clearly heard by the man beside her. He directed her attention to another direction.

Seated at a dining table adjacent to a French-inspired window was a thin man in gold-rimmed glasses.

He glanced at his watch periodically, obviously waiting for her.

Now that she was with Gu Yuzhen, however, how could she still go on a blind date?

"Didn't you want to eat? I'll accompany you. It's a blind date anyway, it'll be the same with anyone."

Ming Qu laughed teasingly.

Gu Yuzhen hadn't expected this girl to have such an indomitable wild nature.
