483 Chapter 547: Boring Vacation (Edited)

"Minerva~ Fish is so bored nya! Fish wants to go back to the Forbidden Forest to play with Shadow and the others."

?●w●?

Ever since that time he wanted to go out to protect Harry, Fish was bored, not that he wanted to go to Harry's house, as long as he could go out.

However, Fish's request was met with an unceremonious refusal from Professor McGonagall.

"No!" She said flatly.

They had tricked Fish into coming here, not just to protect Fish, but rather to prevent Fish from doing anything else while they were busy, and then the Ministry would catch them targeting Dumbledore and Hogwarts.

Animagus and helping Fish get stronger, that was the second most important reason.

"Minerva, you big liar, you tricked Fish into coming here, and then you're gone all day!"

?(? `w′?)?

Fish accused very angrily.

"Don't you have enough people to play with already?". Professor McGonagall kissed Fish's puffy cheeks and said in a reassuring tone, "You know we have a lot of work to do now that Voldemort has come back to life, and Mum really doesn't have that much time for you."

"Then why don't we go find Voldemort and kill him?". asked Fish, very puzzled, "Fish could help nya!".

(??ˇ?ˇ??)

"Because we can't find it," explained Professor McGonagall patiently, "It's like the Black family house we're in now, except for the people Albus told the address to, no one else can get in even if they know the location, the most they can do is ambush us nearby, and we don't know the exact location of Voldemort's hideout."

"So nya..." Fish sighed helplessly and muttered, "I wonder if Fish's marker will work, next time we see Voldemort I must remember to put a marker on him first nya."

He had an idea that might help find Voldemort, and that was to let him, who had defeated Voldemort, run around outside and lure him in.

But Fish knew that Professor McGonagall would never agree to such a plan,

So he had the good sense not to mention it.

"Well, you go play with Hermione and the others, and I'll mind my own business."

Professor McGonagall didn't know what dangerous thoughts Fish was thinking and didn't ask him about the mark, she patted him on the head and rubbed his furry ears before leaving Black House.

Fish had to stay in the house, living a simple and boring life.

After this, the Order of the Phoenix members held several more meetings, not that Fish was interested in their meetings, but the twins, Ron and Ginny were, and Hermione was not a little curious.

George and Fred had even used their telescopic ears to eavesdrop, but unfortunately they had been caught and Mrs. Weasley had given them a stern reprimand for their actions, which had made them much quieter lately.

However, after the previous eavesdropping, some of the young wizards who were unable to attend the meeting had some idea of what the Order had been up to.

Some of the members were following the exposed Death Eaters, keeping a close eye on their movements, others were bringing in more people to join the Order, there was the matter of Harry's guard, and so on.

But what Dumbledore was doing they didn't know, because he didn't show up at the following meetings, and all they could read was that the Ministry's continued crackdown on Dumbledore had finally paid off, and he had lost his position as president of the International Federation of Wizards, and was no longer the Head Wizard of the Wizengamot.

This, of course, has to do with the fact that Dumbledore has made public statements about Voldemort's return, and there are no other recent indications that Voldemort has been resurrected, so most people, led by the Daily Prophet, are beginning to think that Dumbledore is senile.

...

As we entered August, the weather was getting warmer, and Fish, who had too much time on his hands, had started working with Hermione and Sirius, planting flowers and plants around the house, and Kreacher sometimes came to help, but when he did, he deliberately avoided Hermione and Sirius.

With the help of Fish's spell, the plants that had been planted soon grew, bringing life to the Black's deadly house.

But far away, at number 4 Privet Drive, Harry was feeling very irritable.

Since the start of the summer vacations, he had been paying attention to the movements of Voldemort and the Death Eaters. However, no matter whether it was the "Daily Prophet" on the wizarding side or the TV news on the Muggle side, nothing seemed to happen, Harry was very confused.

Every day of the summer, Harry repeated this state of tension, anticipation, temporary relief and then the strings tightened a bit....

But one question was becoming more and more pressing: why hadn't anything happened yet?

He wasn't looking forward to seeing Voldemort on a killing spree, of course, but it was obviously easier to be anxious when you knew danger was coming, but didn't know exactly when.

To make matters worse, Harry's best friend Ron seemed to know something, but when Harry wrote to ask him, he didn't say anything, and then didn't even write to him.

It wasn't until his birthday a few days ago that Ron sent him a birthday present and a short card, along with presents from Sirius, Fish and Ginny, who were obviously all together now, most likely at Sirius' house.

This made Harry feel very angry...he was Sirius' godson wasn't he?

Harry was so angry that he threw away all of Ron and the others' birthday presents in a fit of rage...except for Fish and Sirius' gift, a flower they had supposedly grown together, the species of which Harry couldn't identify, but he didn't think it was a magical plant.

But even so, all the Dursleys were far removed from the palm-sized plant, and his Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia insisted that Harry keep it in his room, which made Harry feel quite ridiculous.

Good thing Fish had beaten the crap out of his Uncle Vernon, otherwise Harry would have been asked to throw the plant away and wouldn't have been allowed to sit in front of the television every night watching the evening news, as he was doing now.

"Watch the news..." muttered his Uncle Vernon, as before, in a voice Harry could hear. "I'd like to know what your plans are. A normal boy, who would care about the news... he doesn't know anything about current affairs, I doubt he even knows who the Prime Minister is! Hell, we don't have anything about your kind in the news..."

Harry ignored him and concentrated on the television in case he missed any crucial information.

His Uncle Vernon muttered a few mean words before he and Aunt Petunia started talking about Harry's cousin Dudley.

Hearing their false compliments about Dudley, Harry tried desperately not to snort through his nose.

The Dursleys were surprisingly stupid when it came to their little boy, Dudley.

But Harry wasn't interested in correcting them; instead, he listened intently to the television reports, relieved once again to find that there were no fatalities or freak incidents.

Just as the television was beginning to show a parakeet named Bungee learning to ski on a sled, there was a sudden loud bang in the street, like a gunshot, which broke the silence.

Harry jumped to his feet, at the same time drawing his wand from his jeans pocket as if it were a sword, and leapt towards the window with a bound.
