Chapter 372: King Arthur knows no heart nya (Edited)

In the end, Malfoy opted to learn the Patronus Charm on Snape, and Fish didn't mind much either, as he celebrated Snape's birthday and then went into his dormitory to sleep.

The cat's birthday celebration had happened so quietly that Snape had no interest in bragging about it, and Malfoy and Gryffindor had no desire to spread the word, so apart from the Headmaster, who had known about it for some time, none of the other teachers knew that Snape had received a birthday present from Fish, apart from Professor McGonagall.

Soon it was Saturday again, a day when the quidditch pitch was crowded, as it was the day of the Ravenclaw versus Slytherin match.

Although it had nothing to do with Gryffindor or Hufflepuff, there was still a good turnout from both houses, and players like Harry were there to gather information about their upcoming opponents.

At the same time, it was a good day for Sirius to be on the move, and with most of the students and teachers on the quidditch pitch, it made it much easier for him to infiltrate the Gryffindor dormitories.

So, after watching the players take off onto the Quidditch pitch from a distance, he quickly found a spot, used the wandless spells he had recently practiced, and used the sound reduction and deodorization spells on himself before switching back to his "Cold" form.

Unfortunately, the disillusion spell was too advanced for Sirius to cast without his wand.

Once out of the Forbidden Forest, the big black dog carefully avoided the stares of the others and made his way to the second greenhouse: there was a secret passage there that led directly to the castle and that he had used to sneak into it on Halloween.

It's just that when he snuck out of here again during Christmas, he smelled janitor Filch's cat wandering around the exit for the first time from a distance, so he had to retreat, and then he tried several more times, without finding anyone patrolling the exit.

And that time Sirius didn't get very far into the castle before he ran into another professor patrolling, so it was quiet with Harry over the Christmas break.

This time Sirius didn't run into Mrs. Norris or the other professors patrolling the castle, and when he emerged from the tunnel, it was empty.

Despite this, Sirius cautiously approached the wall, listening and sniffing for any movement or smells in the vicinity.

Since there were many ghosts and portraits in the castle, as well as Hogwarts students and professors, he had to be careful, as his Animagus form was so large that it would leave one impressed as long as it was seen.

But then again, the smell of Fish was everywhere in this castle, as befitting a privileged student who could play in the Forbidden Forest at night...

Is he really Dumbledore's illegitimate son? That or a grandson or something.

There was one other thing that confused Sirius....

Although the castle was much less crowded, there were still more students than Sirius expected, and most of them were girls.

The young witches were walking around the castle and chatting about what Sirius found to be boring topics, and the smell of perfume and makeup from some of the older girls was a great distraction to his information gathering.

Don't the little witches like Quidditch anymore?

Sirius grumbled in his mind, he remembered when he and James were on the Quidditch team and there were always girls around them even at practice, not to mention at matches.

However, as confused and upset as Sirius was, there was nothing he could do to stop the small group of witches from gossiping and hanging out, so he continued to creep carefully through the castle, getting closer and closer to the entrance of the Gryffindor dormitory on the seventh floor.

As Sirius approached the seventh floor, he hesitated, his last break into the Gryffindor dormitories had been so abrupt that it had raised the security level at Hogwarts, which had greatly affected his ability to sneak back in.

But it was also due to Sirius' desire for revenge and the fact that his mind was still a bit foggy, and after the time he had spent recovering and calming down a bit after meeting Harry, and especially after meeting the three-headed dog, Fluffy, and Fish's tiger form and Patronus, Sirius wasn't as frantic as when he first arrived at Hogwarts....

Of course, his reckless nature hadn't changed much.

Now, for example, Sirius wanted to do the same thing as last time, break the warden's portrait and go inside to find Peter Pettigrew, as long as he got Peter before the other professors and Fish arrived.

As he was thinking this, a familiar smell came to his from far away, and it was getting closer and closer, along with the cheerful giggling of a certain kitten and the chatter of several little witches.

Why wasn't Fish on the Quidditch pitch?!

Sirius startled and quickly ran to hide behind a nearby statue.

About ten seconds later, Fish appeared around the corner with a lollipop in his mouth, accompanied by Sharpay and three other Gryffindor girls.

They approached Sir Cadogan's portrait, laughing and joking, and Sharpay turned to her companion and asked, "What's today's password? It's so annoying how this weirdo changes his password every day."

As she spoke, she didn't avoid Sir Cadogan, who none of the Gryffindor girls had taken a good look at since they found out that the portrait was teaching Fish bad things.

Not to mention that this guy is annoying as it is, not only does he change passwords every three days, but he also likes to provoke other students.

"Hmmm... Does it look like 'Invincible Wyvern'? Or is Cadogan the first Knight of the Round Table? I can't quite remember."

One girl replied, then curved her lips in disdain and teased mercilessly, "Anyway, this is the only fact you can brag about."

Ever since Professor McGonagall "persuaded" him to stop teaching Fish to speak bad words, Sir Cadogan can only make more articles about his own deeds, and the passwords set are basically related to these things.

Two of his most famous exploits were his lucky defeat of a Wyvern and his promotion to the Knights of the Round Table thanks to his friendship with Merlin.

"You should have respect for Sir Cadogan, girls!"

At the portrait, Sir Cadogan waved his spear and shouted loudly. Unfortunately, neither Fish nor the other girls paid him any attention. Only Sharpey urged impatiently, "Get out of the way if the password is correct!"

"But you haven't got the right password!"

Sir Cadogan pulled his pony, who only wanted to go to the river to graze, and provocatively in a loud voice as usual "Let's fight! The bad guys who don't know the password ...! Sir Cadogan won't let you through as easily as the Fat Lady."

"Fish remember the password nya!"

?(?ΦωΦ?)?

However, the kitten didn't let Sir Cadogan get away with it and uttered the password directly.

"Today's password is: King Arthur knows no hearts nya."

"No nya at last!"

Sir Cadogan protested, but honestly stepped aside to reveal the hole in the wall hidden behind the portrait.

Sirius could have taken this opportunity to break into the Gryffindor dormitories and capture Peter Pettigrew, who turned into a mouse.

But...

He didn't dare.

Without his wand, he was incapable of confronting Fish, or even the little witches around him, and it would be a death sentence to go out there.

Besides, after seeing that the portrait of the doorman had been changed to that of Sir Cadogan, he knew that the option of forcing his way in was basically useless.

For Sir Cadogan was an old Gryffindor who had dared to charge a Wyvern when his steed had been devoured, his wand broken and his sword and armor burned, and Sirius didn't think he would be frightened like the Fat Lady.

The portrait, however, had some defensive power without its owner, not much, but without his wand, Sirius would have had to work hard to destroy it.

It was time enough for Dumbledore and the others to come to his aid.

It seems that you have to think long term....

Only when Fish and the others were in the hole in the wall and Sir Cadogan's portrait was back in place did Sirius emerge from his hiding place and, without hesitation, turn and walk away.
