10 Chapter 10: Live to Eat Meow

Time flew by, like the golden Snitch.

Fish spent the cold winter months in the cabin in Hogsmeade, the warmer the weather, the happier the cat was and the more relaxed his life was.

Little did Fish know, however, that his life of leisure would soon come to an end.

Since Hogwarts will soon be on summer vacation, Professor McGonagall will have plenty of time to correct Fish's "bad habits."

Not to mention that Professor McGonagall was very angry after Slytherin won this year's cup.

...

"Fish! It's time for you to get up," said ???

Fish, who was showing all sorts of strange sleeping positions on the pillow as usual, was suddenly picked up by someone.

"Meow?" the poor kitten looked with wide, confused eyes at Professor McGonagall, who had woken him up.

It was barely dawn, which was the equivalent of six or seven in the morning by human time.

Fish's little brain was so smart, and cats have a unique way of perceiving time, so he could tell what time it was without looking at the clock.

"Meow~~~"

After a long, drawn-out moan, Fish squirmed in Professor McGonagall's arms a few times and adjusted to a more comfortable position, stretching his limbs in the crook of Professor McGonagall's arm.

Then, Fish curled into a ball in Professor McGonagall's arms and buried his head in his own body.

Whatever you do, I'm going to sleep anyway.

Professor McGonagall's cheeks twitched imperceptibly at Fish's adorable reaction, but she managed to keep her serious expression intact and carried the kitten in her arms to the sink.

"Today I will start by teaching you how to wash your face and brush your teeth the human way," Professor McGonagall said seriously as she held Fish in front of her with a stern face.

Opening his mouth with a huge yawn, Fish twisted his head, licked the back of Professor McGonagall's hand and then opened his big round eyes, and meowed, "Meow~"

"Meowing won't help!", Once again, Professor McGonagall, who had almost been convinced by Fish's expression, took two deep breaths in succession and bellowed sternly, "Now! Immediately! Change!"

Fish stretched his head and licked the fur off his shoulders.

Professor McGonagall grimaced at the sight of the kitten in her hands, which was again disregarding her words, and placed it in the sink before slipping her hand into her coat pocket.

Once he regained his freedom, Fish didn't run away, but sat on the sink.

He still likes it here, it's cold and a good place to nap when it's warm.

But before Fish could close his eyes, he was attracted by a sweet scent.

"Meow~", seeing the bee candy in Professor McGonagall's hand, Fish got up and put his two little paws on Professor McGonagall's robe, letting out a meow.

"So, what should you do now?", Professor McGonagall waved the bee candy in her hand and watched Fish's head bob from side to side as she waved her hand, a winning smile on her face.

"Meow!" without a word, Fish transformed into a human and waved his short hands to grab the candy from Professor McGonagall's hand.

"You've taken your clothes off again!", Professor McGonagall's eyebrows rose at the sight of Fish naked in the sink.

"Meow!", Fish didn't care, and reached out his hands to grab the bee candy.

With a flick of her fingers, Professor McGonagall, who already knew the little guy's temperament, tossed the bee candy into the air and suspended it below the ceiling.

It hovered below the ceiling.

"If you want candy, get dressed and wash up after me, and I'll give you the candy," said Professor McGonagall.

"Meow~~~," Fish reluctantly glanced at the bee candy floating in the air and jumped out of the sink.

Although it wasn't difficult for him to grab the candy in the air with his skill, Minerva wasn't going to simply watch as he ran to grab the bee candy.

After countless confrontations over the past six months, Fish had learned the difference between him and the Minerva, so he wasn't going to waste his energy trying.

If he wanted to eat the candy, he would have to do as he was told.

"Put your robes on!", Professor McGonagall used a flying spell to conjure a small wizard robe and tossed it to Fish, whose eyes were still fixed on the candy.

"Meow...," Fish replied weakly as he haphazardly pulled the robe on.

"You're wearing it backwards!", Professor McGonagall, who had always been strict, went to help Fish put the robe back on.

The robe was so clean you could tell it was the first time it had been worn, but it made Fish very uncomfortable. He pulled the collar tightly and twisted it uneasily for a while. Finally, he simply squatted down directly on the ground and lifted his right foot up to his chin....

Then he rolled onto the floor.

"Meow!" meowed Fish.

The human body is so uncomfortable!

Fish immediately returned to his cat form and quickly shook his hind legs to scratch his chin and neck area.

Uh... comfortable...

Professor McGonagall understood that there was no way to teach Fish in one step, so she silently watched Fish scratch his itch.

And as Fish scratched, he raised his hind legs and then moved his head to his lower body.

"Fish!", now Professor McGonagall had to stop him.

"Meow?", Fish raised his head and looked at Professor McGonagall with big, confused eyes.

Professor McGonagall said nothing, but pointed to the bee candy.

"Meow~"

Only then did Fish remember the existence of the candy, and reluctantly returned to his human form.

Looking at the new wizard robe loosely draped over Fish's body, Professor McGonagall closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths, forcing herself not to pay attention, before grabbing a set of toiletries from a shelf and showing Fish how to use them.

"First of all, brush your teeth," Professor McGonagall handed Fish a toothbrush with paste on it and, holding one in her own hand, stuck it in her mouth to show her how to do it.

"Meow?"

Intrigued by the sudden bubbles in Minerva's mouth, Fish followed Minerva's example and stuck the toothbrush in his mouth....

Sweet...it was cream!

Fish's eyes lit up and then, without hesitation, he swallowed the creamy white coating on the toothbrush that looked suspiciously like some kind of cream.

"Fish! That's not for eating," Professor McGonagall scolded him with a mouthful of foam when she saw that, instead of brushing his teeth, Fish had started licking the toothpaste off the bristles.

"Meow~"

"Don't eat it even if it's good! Those things are not for eating."

"Meow!"

"If you follow me and learn to wash your face and brush your teeth, I'll give you something good to eat, OR you'll just have crisps for breakfast!", Professor McGonagall used her best jab at Fish.

"Meow~"

"It's no use pretending to be pitiful!"

After half a year together, Professor McGonagall had become much more resistant to Fish and was no longer easily fooled by her flirtatiousness.
