Chapter 9: Trial of Social Anxiety for Two

Mason was a nervous wreck upon his escort to Grim’s mansion in a private carriage. With one guard managing two powerful mules pulling the carriage to their destination and two more guards sitting across from him within the interior of the carriage, a cowering Mason sat still the entire way to Grim’s mansion. If this was truly his chance to be released from the asylum, he did not want to raise the slightest bit of suspicion that could question his possible exit.

After an approximate 30-minute trip from the asylum courtyard to the mansion, the mules had finally managed to haul the carriage all the way to Grim’s property.
