17 Grave Robbery

A/N: Yes, again this book. I just love it so much, and I can't wait to write for it! I'm already planning for WW2!

---

27th December, 1934:

It's been three months since I began making the potion, and it's been productive. A week after I got the Unicorn horn, I went back to a subject I had dropped after making one spell.

Time.

This time, I downloaded the entire Tome in my head, which led to me sleeping for 3 days, in the Medical Wing. They ruled it as a fever, as I do get fevers after going in Coma.

And then, I spent the rest of my free time with Helena, working on the spell I am going to use.

What am I aiming at? Time Travel. Specifically, going to the past, within the same timeline. So, whatever changes I am going to do in the past, have already happened, kind of deal.

We had selected the year 1004 AD, which was 4 years after Helena and Rowena had died.

Other than that, I began my 6th year education in Hogwarts, joining people I didn't know in their class. Ravenclaws don't mind being alone though. That gives them more time to study.

Surprisingly, Ana and Darla confessed to me and Dorea, that the two were dating. Well, for the rest of the student population, they were "best friends" who like to hold hands. Dorea had looked like she just got the answers to all her questions at once.

Them coming out to us, also gave Dorea a chance to be a lone with me, which she took full advantage of, now that she had gotten... bigger. I'm a teenager, alright! My eyes automatically travel down, when those magnificent things are in front of me.

And Dorea, like her sister, was gifted. A lot. Ahem! I told her though, that I was not going to lead her on, when I have a girlfriend. Sure, I can't do anything more than kiss and cuddle with Helena, but it's the thought that counts.

Back to school, my classes were going alright. They were mostly pretty easy. And I even took History of Magic for my NEWTs.

"Did you make the calculations alright?" Helena asks, looking at me writing on the wall in the chamber.

I was waiting until the Christmas hols come, so I can use that time to.. time travel.

Rolling my eyes, I finish carving the last rune with a chisel, and chant, "Tempus Itinerantur."

The runes flash with a green light, signifying the success of the spell, and I look at Helena smugly. She rolls her eyes, and says, "Great. Now open the portal."

She was coming with me, so she can talk with Godric and Sal, if they try and stop me from desecrating the grave of their friend. They were alive at that point in time. Helga.. wasn't.

Going towards the portal, with all the stuff I'm going to need packed in my Mokeskin pouch, I put a hand on one of the runes, and think hard on the year I want to get out. 1004 AD. And then, I push my magic into the rune scheme.

Immediately, the rune scheme glows green, and the portal swirls open, like it was water. The portal looked to be the same as water, only green in colour.

Turning to Helena, I offer her my hand, and say, "Now or never, Helena."

Helena takes a deep breath, and holds my hand, as we enter the portal, together.

With a flash of green light, we come out in the Chamber of Secrets, as the portal simply makes you travel through time, not space.

Immediately, a glowing orange portal opens up, and Salazar steps through, his eyes vigilant, and wand in his hand. I go inside his mind immediately, and copy the brain wave pattern he has.

Sal already told me about his AllSpeak ability, and I'm not wasting such a good potential.

"Who are you?!" Salazar asks, pointing his wand at me, as soon as he detects me inside his head.

I finish copying his mutation, and smile at him, showing my empty hands. I answer, "I am your descendant, Mason Aves. Well met, Lord Slytherin."

Salazar does not drop his wand, so Helena goes forward, and it was only then that he drops the wand, gasping in shock. He whispers, "Helena?"

Helena nods, and smiles at him. She says, "Hello uncle. How have you been?"

Shaking his head to get out of shock, Salazar asks, "Where have you been, Helena? You've been missing for 4 years and you return, as a ghost? What happened?!"

Helena tells her story, while I look around the Chamber. Other than being cleaner, this chamber was the same as the one back in my time. He probably left all the important stuff somewhere else.

5 minutes of talking later, Salazar turns to me, while I was examining the still open Time Portal on the Chamber wall. He asks, "How can I believe when you say I'm your ancestor?"

Smirking, I simply throw him his Sorcery journal, and say, "I found that in your room up there." I Point at the spot where his secret room is, and continue, "I can give you an example of speaking Parseltongue, but I don't know if that'll make you believe me."

"No, that's alright. Only me heirs can enter that room. Any Parselmouth can enter the chamber." Salazar says, and throws the journal back to me.

He then turns serious, and asks, "Now then, what is your purpose in coming back in time?"

Helena looks at me, prompting me to answer his questions. Sighing, I say, "I want to enter Rowena's grave. I need a bone from her hand."

"WHAT?! YOU DARE!" Salazar shouts, getting his wand out, ready to fire at me.

But, Helena comes in front of his wand, and pleads, "Please.. uncle.. Listen to his reasons first. Please."

Salazar turns towards me, angrily snarls out, "What?"

"I want to create another body for Helena, and give her a second chance at life. For that, I need Rowena's upper arm bone, and Helena's full skeleton. The bodies would have decomposed by the year I came from, so I came to the past." I answer calmly, staying unarmed.

While my telekinesis can stop spells, he's Salazar Slytherin, and he's known Rowena's fighting skills first hand. I'm not sure even with using my Telekinesis I can defeat him.

Salazar sighs and looks at Helena, "Will it actually work, my dear?"

Helena nods, and answers, "If it was a false hope, I wouldn't have allowed him to live past the point he said he needs my mothers bones."

"Gee, thanks." I mumble from the side, getting ignored by both of them.

Salazar nods, and says, "Very well. I will lead you to her grave, and give you the bone. After that, you will go get Helena's body, so you can get the hell out of this time. Travelling through time is not something kids should do."

Deadpanning at him, I simply say, "Your portrait is the one that gave me the idea. I just.. gave it my own twist."

Rubbing his forehead, Salazar says, "Just.. come. I'm not as young as I used to be."

---

3 hours later, all three of us are standing in a forest in Albania, or as it is called in the 11th century, Kutmichevitsa. Salazar led us to Rowena's grave, without any issue, and brought us back to the chamber. Helena stayed a few feet behind, not wanting to look at her mother's skeleton.

And now, Helena was leading us to where she died, and where Alistair, the Bloody Baron, killed her. Thankfully, he had the good idea to bury the body.

"If I see that boys ghost, I'm burning him with Fiendfyre." Salazar says, in disgust. Helena had told him how she had died, and Salazar was ready to come to the future and destroy his spirit.

I use my telekinesis, ignoring Salazar's gasp, and bring the mud above Helena's body up. Soon, 5 feet below the ground level, we see Helena's body, which has just bones left now, along with only a few millimetres of skin on those bones.

"Ugh. No offense love, but I love you more as the ghost." I say, casting a bubblehead charm to block out the smell, while Salazar does the same.

Helena simply swats my shoulder, and says, "Just.. store the body. It isn't nice seeing your own dead body."

Nodding, I conjure a coffin for Helena, and Salazar wards it to stay as it is for decades, unless I open the coffin. Shrinking it down, I place it in my Mokeskin pouch, along with the small wooden box containing Rowena's humerus.

Turning to Helena, I say, "Okay, one last thing Helena. The Diadem."

"Sigh.. I should have realised." Helena mumbles, getting upset again..

Slapping her head, I glare at her, and say, "I love you, and I'm going to make you a body. That does not change the fact that the Diadem is kept in this forest, for anyone to just stumble into. How much harm do you think some Dark Wizard can do with it?"

"A lot." Helena whispers, getting ashamed. She says, "Let's.. go.."

Salazar smirks, watching our by play, and says, "Well, it's a good thing my descendants has game. It would have been a shame, if I'd have had to kill you for trying to take advantage of Hel."

Shaking my head, I say, "Helena is one of my first friends. I'm not betraying her for a relic."

Helena, who was listening to us talk, smiles widely, and starts flying faster. Within 5 minutes, we reach the spot where she's kept the Diadem, and I wonder, how the hell did no one find it in these 4 years.

It was buried under an oak tree, but there was nothing particularly hiding the feel of magic the Diadem gave out.

Taking the Diadem from Helena's hands, I remove a block of silver from my pouch. Placing both on the ground, I draw circles around them, and then connect them with a straight line.

"What are you doing, boy?" Salazar asks, looking in curiosity.

Without looking up, I answer, "It's possible that someone comes looking for the Diadem. I don't want them to take the Diadem, but I don't want them to look for the other similar treasures either. I will convert this silver into a replica of the Diadem, and cast spells around here, so I know when the replica is taken out."

"What's the use wasting so much Silver?" Salazar grunts out.

Rolling my eyes, I say, "Firstly, it didn't cost me a thing. That's stone that I transmutated to Silver. Secondly, when the thief feels no magic from the Diadem, they will think that old magical objects, without maintenance, lose their magic and become useless. That's what I actually want. Or they might go and try to find other relics the old Wizards left behind."

Salazar snorts, and says, "Do what you want, but be quick about it. I've left Godric unsupervised."

Finished drawing the Transmutation circle, I activate it, and slowly, the Silver block begins taking shape, and turns into the Diadem. Helena takes the replica and keeps it back in the same spot.

Our job done, I clear the ground of any traces, and we all move through the portal Salazar creats.

"Well, it's been fun, grandpa. But, we have to go now." I say, dodging the stinging hex he sent at me.

Helena hugs Salazar, and says, "I will talk to your portrait once I'm back. But I missed talking to you."

"Sigh, Take care, Helena. And best of luck." Salazar says, hugging her tight.

And then, holding hands again, both of us walk through the portal, and with a flash of green light, we are deposited back in our time, as the portal finally closes.

Thankfully, no matter how much time we spend in the past, only an exact second passes in the present. Nice stuff.

"I'll go keep the boxes safe. I bet you need some peace right now." I say, hugging Helena.

Helena nods, and moves to go into the castle proper. I sigh, and move towards Salazar's room to keep the Coffin of Helena, and the box containing Rowena's arm safe.

Time to check what the Diadem does.

A/N: Should MC completely prevent Voldemort from happening? And yes, he can do it by just Killing Tom Riddle as soon as he's an adult.

Pros:

1. No need to pretend to be a good guy, while letting all the atrocities happen.

2. No excuses for why he didn't bother stopping Voldemort before.

3. Less problems for me, the author, when 1990s come around. No Voldie means no plot in Wizarding World, and I can completely skip that decade, and move to the MCU.

Cons:

1. No idea what sort of Dark Wizard Voldie could have accidentally killed in his crusade. No voldie, means even Bellatrix can take over the Wizarding World.

2. Butterfly effect will fuck him up.

3. No idea if any of the Gods might punish him for Messing with time, or even the Sorcerer Supreme.

What do you guys think?
