1 Prologue: Somewhat Familiar

The Crown Prince left his chamber and fled away to the capital. Everything was bussing and noisy, running here and there, doing their own businesses.

He stood among the crowds with his guard, Sanc.

"Your Highness-, no, Master, what should we do?"

The Crown Prince looked around with his face covered, fanning himself with a black fan. He looked ahead and found a seat where he could eat.

"I haven't had noodles for a while. How about we go there?"

Sanc looked to where his eyes fixated and nodded.

"Yes, please follow me."

The Crown Prince nodded and was pleased.

In the palace, all he could think of was how to avoid being killed, but in the capital, as one of the anonymous heroes in the empire, he was free than ever.

Everyone was happy and praises him everywhere he go. It was the exact opposite of what his life as the 'Paralayzed Crown Prince.' Who would have thought that he was only pretending and was actually a powerful crown prince?

"You seemed thinking about something."

Sanc said to him and he smelled the scent of the noodles, before uncovering his face. They were in a room, where the noodles he love the most was served before him. He looked relaxed unlike when he was in the palace, bothered and aggravated.

"I'm thinking about Prime Minister's scheme against me."

The Crown Prince closed his eyes and fed himself with the hot noodles.

"Do you think leaving your wife alone is what a good husband does?"

The Crown Prince looked at Sanc's eyes and replied.

"I can't read her."

Sanc understandably nodded and pondered about it.

"You're right. Do you think she's one of Prime Minister's people?"

"That's something I wish to know the answer."

Sanc saw his dark gaze and drowned brows. He snickered and made fun of him.

"I didn't know that you'd be so bothered about her. Don't you like her giving you affection?"

"I do like it, but sometimes it's done overly. I can't helped but to think if she was playing with me."

The Crown Prince put the bowl down and the noodles were nowhere to be see. He has finished his meal and he was happy.

He stood up and Sanc followed after him. Naxzi secured his face, and went out.

"Is the noodles into your liking?"

"Hmm. It's good."

"What should we do next? Should we investigate how our messenger died without a trace?"

Naxzi scoffed, with his hands behind his back.

"Investigate? It was clearly Prime Minister's plan. Let him be, it was only a pigeon."

"But the letter's content of what the bird was carrying-"

Naxzi frowned.

"It was to lure him out."

"... You're unbelievable."

Naxzi didn't say anything. He observed around and suddenly, he heard a commotion.

"Thief, there's a thief!"

The victim cried not far from them and Naxzi looked around. There was a black man, hugging the money, jumping from roof to roof. The owner of the money was loudly weeping and he jumped to the roof, chasing the thief.

Sanc ran behind him.

"Shouldn't we go back before your wife calls for you?"

"Let's hurry before she does then."

"That's why I'm telling you too--"

"Where are you going?"

When they were about to catch the thief, a woman, floating down, pointed at the thief, while glaring darkly at him. The thief trembled recognizing who were the people chasing after him. It was the ruthless Hero Min and the Cute but Demonic Hero Lanlan.

Lanlan opened her eyes and took the money from the thief's hand with her bluish like power. It was beautiful and the thief was mesmerized.

Naxzi looked at Lanlan and nodded at her. It wasn't because they were close, they only knew each other and from time to time, they crossed paths and even tried to spar, but there was no definite winner every time as they were both cunning and powerful.

The thief kneeled and cried.

"Please have mercy, it was because I needed money for my wife. She's sick and I badly needed money to tend her."

He sniffled and Lanlan heed no attention, throwing the money to Naxzi.

"Gentlemen, I wish to stay longer, but I have to go on my way."

She then vanished in a dash and Sanc successfully made the thief faint.

After a while, the thief was jailed and Naxzi went back to his chamber. If he was late, his wife will surely call for him.

Lanlan took off her mask and quickly changed her clothes. She have to hurry if she was to call her husband, the crown prince.

She looked at herself in the mirror and smiled.

"I'm here."

The voice from behind her sounded and she smiled brightly.

"Where did you go?"

Naxzi smiled.

"Went to have a fresh air. What did you do while I was away?"

Lanlan, no, Sencha, the crown prince's wife, is a doting and loving wife.

She held his wheelchair and pushed him to the bed.

"Let's sleep. If you got a cold, I'll be sad. Here, hold my hand."

Naxzi truly felt that Sencha was innocent while Sencha, on the other hand, felt that the crown prince is a pitiful husband, who was doing his best to give her the everything she needed.

When Sencha finished helping him, she put the wheelchair away and laid down beside him.

"Good night."

"You too."

A married couple is hiding something from each other.
