50 Chapter 50: Final battle-2

Irritated, he threw her away... Lyndel gasped in pain as her body crashed against the rocks, one after the other and finally came to a halt. She coughed out blood as she managed to stand up. Her body was covered in wounds as she stared hatefully at the phoenix.

'If only you hadn't arrived....' Lyndel's eyes shifted towards Freya and continued, 'I would have had her head by now.'

The Phoenix glared as he said arrogantly, "As long as I'm alive... you would never be able to kill her."

Freya choked on her blood as she admonished him, 'Normally people would say, 'You would never be able to touch a hair on her.' and what did you say!'

The Phoenix chuckled as he got the message through. He turned towards her and smiled cheekily.

'You have already gotten yourself to this state. There's no point in saying that.'

Lyndel closed her eyes as she placed her hand in between her eyebrows. A dark light emerged from the tip of her fingers.

Her eyes turned black as she laughed maniacally, "Why you!! if you had not interfered, you would have been able to live another day. Now all of you are going to die."

Suddenly, a large ball of dark energy was formed above her. The ball was big enough to eradicate the entire kingdom.

Freya frowned when she saw her mustering up the ball. She tried to summon lightning and was surprised to find the blockage in her body.

She stared at the red-haired guy who noticed her gaze. He winked at her as he said, "I'm not going to let you destroy your body."

She sighed helplessly.

"Why are you worried? I'm here, alright." the red-haired guy claimed arrogantly.

"Well I think we can trust him with this." a tired voice was heard behind her before a hand wrapped around her waist, supporting her.

The red-haired phoenix squinted his eyes as he snarled, "Take your hands off her."

Jinha smirked as he pulled Freya into his embrace and said, "Why should I do that?"

The phoenix looked like it was about to explode as his eyes blazed, "She's mine."

Freya shook her head and pinched the hand which was around her waist tightly. Jinha flinched as he weakly said, "Dear! that hurts."

"Stop playing around." Freya admonished him before she turned to look at her phoenix.

The phoenix smiled happily but soon frowned when he felt the annoying presence of the demon.

The demon laughed as she said," Now Die!!!!!"

She threw the huge ball which was big enough to swallow the entire kingdom.

The dark ball headed straight towards the phoenix, who stood there grinning away arrogantly. As the ball closed in, the phoenix snapped his fingers summoning a huge fireball, countering the attack.

As both the powers collided, the demon stood there smirking waiting for her final attack to succeed. The dust faded away, as their vision cleared.

Lyndel looked around to locate the Phoenix but it just disappeared into thin air.

The huge field only had masked girl and her companions who were staring at her with their eyes widened in shock.

A smirk formed on her lips in satisfaction and as she was about to gloat, "Haha -"

She couldn't complete her statement as she heard a cold voice behind her, "You are too annoying. Just die."

Lyndel's eyes widened as her body spluttered blood from all sides, spraying blood onto the phoenix before she succumbed to ashes.

The phoenix frowned when he looked at his clothes which had black blood sprayed all over. He moved in a flash and appeared before Freya grinning at his victory.

Freya looked at the excited fellow and praised, "You did great, Fluffy."

Her soft voice soon faded as she fell against Fluffy. The phoenix caught her and hugged the fainted woman tightly in his embrace.

He kissed her forehead and murmured, "And, you did well, my princess."
