18 Chapter 18 : What are you doing?

A few minutes later,

As they were discussing the price of the sword they heard a scream outside the building which made Usui took off hurriedly.

Oliver vaguely heard him shout," I will come by later to hand over the money. Thank you for the sword, Uncle Oliver."

Oliver stood up abruptly as his face flushed in fury when he heard him call " Uncle". He saw Usui laughing at him while sticking his tongue out before leaving through the door.

Oliver laughed before he sat down on the chair and mumbled, 'That kid.... he stole one treasure from my store and calls me Uncle.'

As he left the shop, he looked around to find the source of the voice but was disappointed to find the source was from a girl who was being harassed by some thugs.

Usui sighed as he made his way to them, he heard one of the guys ask, "Come with us, pretty girl. Keep us company for some time."

The girl was terrified as she wept continuously, " Please... leave me... Help someone...Someone, please help."

But the girl didn't know the thugs had cast a first rank sound repelling spell which wouldn't be noticed by the people.

The girl kept crying and one of the thugs licked his lips and sneered, " Such a pretty girl. Don't you know that you shouldn't roam around at night."

He slightly caressed her cheeks which made the girl tremble. As the thug was about to grab her chin, he felt a chill behind him. He turned to look behind and saw a sword flying past him, missing his face by an inch and hit the wall.

Horrified, he plastered himself against the wall as he turned to look at the sword which has penetrated deeply into the wall and gulped before he looked at the person. Usui walked slowly out of the shadows and glared at him, "Do you want me to help you go your way or would you do it yourselves?"

The thug trembled as he said, "No need for your help sir... We would be on our way." and ran the opposite way. His followers seeing that their leader ran away, looked at each other before they hurriedly left the place.

Usui looked at their direction for a second before he went near to the wall and yanked his sword from the wall.

He turned to the girl who was weeping and trembling on the ground and said, " It's okay now.. hurry along to your house."

The girl thanked him for his help before running away. Usui sighed as he went the opposite way and failed to see the girl stop a few meters ahead and look at him.

He made his way to the stall to buy some food as he remembered his last original meal was before the battle. He pinched the space between his eyebrows as he remembered Jinha's face.

He should probably apologize as he didn't purposefully want the guy to see painful memories. Even though he loathes how he flirts with his girl, he could say that Jinha was a good guy.

He munched on his buns as he wandered when he noticed Freya standing behind a wall a couple of distance away.

He threw his half-eaten bun away and sprinted to catch up with her. He caught hold of her hand which made her swiftly turn and point her dagger towards the intruder's neck. Surprised, Usui caught hold of her dagger just before it could sever his neck.

To her surprise and horror, it was Usui who looked a little surprised by her reaction.

" Do you honestly react like this every time someone holds your hand?"

" Why, do you like the way I react?" She asked as she sheathed her dagger back to her waist.

He grinned and asked while ignoring her question," So, who were you following? "

"You noticed?" she asked sarcastically.

"Why do I find your tone offensive?"

She rolled her eyes at him as she turned to watch those people to only notice that she lost sight of her targets again. She wanted to crush this idiot badly but left it for tomorrow's match.

She wanted to get out of her hiding spot but Usui was having none of it. He was done losing her out of his sight as he pulled her and wrapped his arms around her waist.

" You... you. What are you doing?"
