"I didn't do it, ma'am!", the declined from a little girl heard loud from a class in a local elementary school in Cikyber.

In the almost noon day, was quite looked troubled in one class of the middle grade in the local elementary school at Cikyber village. There was an event when the teacher of that class was going mad because of the lesson that she had written on the blackboard had been erased by someone after break time. Then one of a student had been suspected as a culprit, but that student said she didn't do it, she insisted. But in other side, some others students kept on suspecting her as the culprit.

"I swear that I don't do it, ma'am! I swear!", that little girl kept telling that she didn't the one who erased it.

"She is lying! I saw her did it! We saw her, right? right?", one of the students and some others around kept pushing to tell the teacher that she was the one who did it.

"What?! You saw me?! I was on the back yard whole time at the break time, and I didn't see you at all, Rika!",  that girl was still declining.

" Stop it, now! We will just continue the lesson as you will do some tasks on guide book at page 54 till 57, do it on your exercise book!", the teacher was giving the students the tasks to be done.

"And for you, Suki, I'll have your apologize words that written on two full pages of papers after those tasks, do you understand?", added that teacher to that little girl, Suki Lani.

"Huh?! But! I told you that was not me who did it, didn't I?", that girl, Suki, she insisted to not to accept that suspicion on her.

"That or you prefer your parents to come here?", that teacher gave the options to Suki.

"Ah! Alright... I'll write the apologies words after I finished the tasks then..", Suki was talking in sad voice, she looked down.

Suki just sat in head down as she started to doing the tasks. Some students who sat in backseats  of her seemed had happy faces on them, they were laughing quietly. And then the class became more quieter as the students intended to do the tasks diligently. After an hour passed, the bell to end the class time was ringing, it was time to go home exactly.

"Alright, everyone! If you've done with the tasks, put your exercise book on my desk then you can go home afterwards!", the teacher spoke to all students in the class.

All students were putting their exercise books on her desk as they had prepared to go home, all of them, except Suki. She went back to her chair as she had to continue to write the apologies words. There was one page to go. While she wrote that, some of the students in her back were still laughing. She could hear that clearly how they actually were laughing at her. Now that she was thinking that they were might be the one who plotting that thing to her. Suddenly her sad changed to be anger. She wanted to get revenge. That was so, when they were walking passing her seat, she set her foot on their way so they would be tripped on it and fell down. And so she did it. One of them was falling down to the floor. They suddenly stopped to laugh themselves and tried to help that one student who fell.

"Aww! It's hurt! Hei! What are you doing?! Are you doing it on purpose, huh?", that girl who fell, was shouting at Suki.

"What?! I'm on writing here! Can't you see it, Rika?! You can see it, right?! Right?!", suki was giving her reason, while she tried to tease her.

" You're lying!", that girl, Rika kept on accusing.

" Hei! Hei! Stop it! If you're done with the tasks, then go home already! Don't make a noise here!", the teacher was talking to them all.

Rika and those girls were finally leaving the class with irritated face on them. Meanwhile Suki was still on writing her punishment with satisfied face. Then, a minute later, there was an announcement on the speaker of that class. "Announcement to Mrs. Ellie in the class four, please come to the teachers' room immediately! There's something for you to discuss! So, please come to the teachers' room as soon as possible! Thank you!".

After hearing that announcement,  Mrs. Ellie, the teacher in Suki's class, she asked Suki about the thing as she also gave her some orders.

"Suki! Are you done with your apologies words? I need to go to the teachers' room now!", Mrs. Ellie was asking Suki.

" Umm, it's almost done, ma'am! Just some few rows to go!", Suki was answering.

" There's no time! Alright! After you done with your apologies words, come to me in the teachers' room, and bring these exercise books as well! So you can go home afterwards! Don't think about leaving without do all those things, unless you want me to send the warning letter to your parents to come here, do you understand?", said Mrs. Ellie as she left Suki in the class alone.

" Yes, I understand, ma'am..", Sukii was answering it in sad face on her, almost crying actually.

Some others minutes had passed, Suki finally had finished the writing. She brought it with all the exercise books to the teachers' room. On the corridor of the school, suddenly she heard someone called of her name.

"Suki! Suki!", that was how it sounded.

Suki was looking around to find who was calling her. She was so focus on looking around that she wasn't paying attention to the way of her front, until at the same time, there was a girl who was running from the other side, that girl was just coming out from toilet. And then they two were bumping to each other that caused them both fell down on the floor. Suki dropped the books that she had carried.

"Aww! What are you doing?!", Suki was getting angry to that girl.

" I'm terribly sorry... I don't see you're there..", that girl tried to collect the books which scattered on the floor.

"Oh! Why are you so rush-..", said Suki but suddenly she stopped.

Suki was noticing that the girl wasn't a student of her school, that girl even didn't use a uniform. But she thought they were at the same age.

"Here the books! I'm sorry to trouble you..", that girl gave the books that she collected to Suki.

"Oh! It's okay then, thank you for helping me to collect them..", Suki took the books from that girl.

" You're welcome, beside, it's my fault that I run in rush and make you dropped them..", that girl was smiling at Suki.

Suddenly, the sound of someone who calling the name was being heard again, along with the coming of a woman to the place where Suki and that girl were.

"Shuki!", that woman called.

"Yes!?", both Suki and that girl were answering to that call.

Suki got confused, so did that girl. But then that woman grabbed that girl's hand as she got some words to that girl as well.

"Where have you been? I'm looking for you in a while! Don't go out on your own self like that again! You might be got lost, you understand?", that woman was scolding on that girl.

"I'm sorry, mom! I was going to the toilet..", that girl, she was talking to that woman, her mother.

"Why don't you tell me? I'm so worried, you know!", her mother was softener the voice as she told her reason.

"I was so rushed last time, I'm so sorry, mom!", that girl was apologizing.

At that time also, Mrs. Ellie was coming that way as she saw them all. But her focus suddenly came to Suki.

"Suki! Why are you still here?!", Mrs. Ellie was speaking to Suki in high voice, her voice was already so high though.

" Huh?!", both Suki and that girl were surprising to hear that, even that girl's mother also surprised actually.

"Oh! Mrs. Ellie! This is my daughter, Amandamain Shuki... Shuki, introduce yourself to Mrs. Ellie!", that girl's mother introduced her to Mrs. Ellie.

" Hello, ma'am! My name is Amandamain Shuki. The other call me Shuki..", that girl, Shuki, was introducing herself.

" Oh! Your name is Suki?! I see, right! Last time, I was talking to this kid, not to you, okay? Don't get misunderstanding, okay?", Mrs. Ellie explained her condition to Shuki as she pointed to Suki.

Meanwhile, Suki was looking around to search for something. She looked for her punishment papers.

"Looking for this?", Shuki took the papers from the floor and gave it to Suki.

"Ah! Yes, thank you..", Suki took the papers with her hand that actually holding the books she had carried.

"You're welcome! So, you're also Shuki? Nice to meet you!", Shuki was introducing herself to Suki.

"Yeah, nice to meet you too! Emm, I have to go, bye!", said Suki as she went away.

She went to teachers' room as she had to put the books and her apologies papers on mrs. Ellie's desk.

"Did she do something bad? I saw her brought some papers with apologies words in them..", Shuki was asking Mrs. Ellie about Suki.

"Oh, you see, just some kind of punishment when you do not obedient or do displeased thing, you know? Don't mind her! There are some other good students will be in the class later..", Mrs. Ellie explained a thing.

" Do you hear that, Shuki? A naughty kids will be punished, so you better be a good girl, do you understand?", Shuki's mother was giving an advice to Shuki.

"Yes, mom, I understand..", answered Shuki.

Next day morning, the class just started. In the class four which Suki was in it. She was preparing her tools for study on her desk as she usually did. And then Mrs. Ellie came in to the class with someone else, the girl that Suki would have known, Shuki. Shuki was using the same uniform as her school had now.

"Alright, kids, please sit down on your chair! We have new friend here! Alright, Suki, introduce yourself!", Mrs. Ellie asked Shuki to introduce herself.

"Thank you, Mrs. Ellie! Hello everyone! My name is Amandamain Shuki! Nice to meet you! Oh right! You can call me Shuki!", Shuki was introducing herself as she write her name on the blackboard.

The students in that class were chatting to the others as they thought her name was sounded just same with Suki. And at that time, Shuki noticed there was Suki in the class.

"So your name is Shuki, it sound the same with Suki! Oh right! Let just call you Shuki and call Suki as second Suki! So we will not be in misunderstanding!", suddenly, Rika was talking in the class.

Hearing what Rika's said, the  other students seemed agreeing to her. But, Suki seemed declining it.

"Why you add my name with second? Why not her? I'm the first one who be called Suki in here!", that what Suki said.

" But no body want to call your name! No body want to play with you! Right?! Right?!", Rika was saying.

The other students were agreeing to her words again. That made Suki became quiet. She was sad to hear that. But then Mrs. Ellie stopped the crowd as she thought about to give Shuki sitting position.

"Okay, be quiet, kids! We will start to study here!", Mrs. Ellie made the class became quiet.

"So, your name is Shuki with h in the middle of it, I see... Alright! You can have a seat-.. emm?", Mrs. Ellie was asking Shuki to have seat but she saw only the behind line which had empty chairs.

Yesterday, Shuki's mother actually asked Mrs. Ellie to let her daughter to have seat in the front or second line. That was why Mrs. Ellie seemed confused about the situation. But then she saw Suki in the second line.

"Suki! You move to the empty seat on the back!", Mrs. Ellie ordered Suki to move.

" Huh!? But I used to be in here from the first day of class! I even have set my stationary on the desk!", Suki seemed like to decline.

" Just pack it up and move it to the back seat!", Mrs. Ellie talked in high voice.

" But-..", Suki tried to decline but she saw Mrs. Ellie's face that intimidated her.

"Okay, ma'am..", Suki was packing her stuff to her bag as she would move the seat.

Shuki who saw Suki in the sad face talked to Mrs. Ellie.

" Oh! It's okay, Mrs. Ellie! I'll go to sit in the behind line..", said Shuki to Mrs. Ellie.

She would move as she wanted to sit at back line but Mrs. Ellie stopped her.

"No! No! It's fine! You will sit on that seat! Let Suki-.. ehm, she move to the backseat!", Mrs. Ellie held Shuki as they waited until Suki finished packing and then moved to the back line.

And then Suki moved to the back line, she sat down in her sad face, she tried to hold her tears as she took out her stuff again on the desk. And for Shuki, she sat on the seat that Suki left. And then the class was starting. For some hours, the class got quiet as the students were doing their tasks that had given by Mrs. Ellie, meanwhile Mrs. Ellie herself was writing the explanation of lesson to the blackboard . But then the bell as a sign to break time was ringing.

"Alright, kids! Have a break time! We'll continue the lesson after that!", said Mrs. Ellie as she walked out the class.

And then all students went out the class, almost of them. As for Rika, she and some her friends came to Shuki as they wanted to ask her to join them to the cafeteria.

"Hei, Shuki, do you wanna go with us to the cafeteria?", Rika opened the chat.

" Oh, thank you for asking, but my mother gave me a lunch box, so I can't! Sorry!", Shuki was declining them.

" It's okay! Just come to us if you wanna hangout! And let me warn you, don't get close to naughty girl or she will get you in troubles later, okay!", Rika talked to Shuki, she warned about Suki, as she stared at Suki way.

Suki who heard that words, just ran out of the class, she looked like about to cry. Shuki could see that. And then Rika and her friends were laughing at Suki as they also walked away to the cafeteria, leaving Shuki in the class alone with her lunch box. But, as she saw Rika and her friends were away, Shuki immediately went to the way which Suki ran. She wanted to talk to Suki. She looked around but she couldn't find Suki anywhere, until she found a small path to the back area of the school building. That was the access to the school backyard. Then she passed it. After some distant in that backyard, she found Suki. She saw her sat down alone with head down under the big tree, crying. She got closer to Suki.

"Hei! Are you alright?', Shuki was asking to Suki.

Suki was actually getting surprised to hear Shuki's voice, especially Shuki's present. Suki never thought there would be somebody came to that side in that time. Even though some staffs of school actually came over there too, but at the break time, Suki knew they all would be relaxing themselves on the pantry. So, no body would come to the side in that time. Suki immediately wiped her tears on her face as she would face Shuki's presence.

"Oh! Umm, what- what are you doing here?", Suki was asking to Shuki.

" I want to talk to you! Can I sit beside you?", said Shuki.

" Umm, yeah, of course, but- but why? Didn't the others come to ask you to hangout with them?", Suki kept asking.

" But I want to talk to you, is that not good?", responded Shuki after she sat down beside Suki.

"I don't mean to, but it's okay if you want to..", after said that Suki was becoming quiet.

"... Did I get troubled you?", Shuki broke the silent.

"No..", answered Suki.

"You looked so troubled in the class..", Shuki replied.

" It's fine, I used to be that way..", said Suki.

"Really? Did you tell your parents about it?", Shuki kept asking.

" No, I can handle it myself..", Suki answered.

" But you're crying! There's no way you could handle it yourself if it made you cry..", said Shuki.

" Who are you? Talking like that! What do you actually want to come here!?!", Suki seemed mad.

" I'm sorry if it troubled you! I feel sorry for you! And I think most of it is my fault, so I want to apologise to you! I'm so sorry to give you so much troubled!", Shuki was lowering her head as she did apologizing.

"Oh! Hmm... I'm sorry! I should not angry with you! But it's okay! Really! These are all just my problems, everybody are actually hating me! So, it's just obviously my fault to start with! Don't worry!", explained Suki.

" With all these things, I think you should tell your parents about it, you can't be like this forever!", Shuki was suggesting.

" No, I can't!... I'm actually, not living with them again now, my grandparents are the ones who take care of me since I started to school in here..", said Suki.

" Hmm, what happen to your parents?", Shuki was asking in her innocent and curiosity.

"My grandma told me that my father left me and my mother when I was just a baby, and then after that my mother went away to the big city for work, but she seemed never come back since then, so I was just lived with my grandparents in their house in this village... I can't tell this troubles to them, they are already old, I don't want to make them worry about me and I don't want to trouble them even more with these troubles..", explained Suki in the detail.

" I see, I'm sorry to hear that! But what they do is wrong! We can't keep it forever! I'll tell my parents then!", Shuki was talking about Suki's cases in the class.

" No! Don't! You will make yourself into trouble then!", Suki didn't allow Shuki to tell Shuki's parents.

"Don't worry, it will be fine..", Shuki insisted.

" No! It's okay! There will be just few years to go until I graduated! I can bare with it till then!", responded Suki.

" Hmm.., you're so strong, you know! I want to be as strong as you!", Shuki was admiring at Suki.

" Strong? I'm not strong, I can't even carry a sack of rice by myself!", said Suki.

" My mom said, strong is not always about strength, when you can be patient for waiting is also strong, emm, I don't really know what she meant by that though.., hehehe..", Shuki was laughing herself.

" Eh? You don't know but you keep saying it, you're weird.., ahaha..", Suki also laughed.

Then they two laughed together for some moments until Suki started another conversation.

" Hei! Can I call you Manda? It's just weird to call you in the sound same of my name, you know?!", Suki was asking the permission.

" Emm.., it's okay, no one have ever call me that way though, but how about me? I also feel weird to call you in sound of my name too..", responded Shuki, Manda now.

" Just call me Lani! My grandparents call me that way too!", Suki was responding Manda, she want to be called Lani now.

"Okay then, oh right, Lani, do you want some snacks? My mom always make it for me to my lunch box, I want to share them with you..", Manda offered her lunch box to Lani.

" Wow! Spring rolls, I like them, can I? Really?", Lani was making sure.

" Yes of course! Have some!", Manda was smiling, so then they ate together there.

Several minutes later the bell rang as it signed of the next class was continuing. They both immediately got themselves to the class. But when they were passing the small path of the access to the school corridor, they saw the gate which separated that path and school corridor was locked. There was no other way to get in the school main hall other than passing that locked gate. And also there were no people around at that time.

"It's locked! But it should be never be locked when the school time!", Lani was confusing.

" What should we do now? The class will be started!", Manda seemed panic.

" We climb the gate!", Lani suggested

"No way the gate have some pinned steel on upper side!", Manda was declining as she saw the upper side of gate was the pinned sharp steels.

"Okay, you wait here! I'll climb myself then look for some help, alright!? Wait!", Lani was climbing the gate.

" Be careful!", Manda kept worry even though Lani was successfully getting through to the other side of that gate.

After got down from the gate, Lani was running to the pantry which some staffs could be helping them. After some minutes Lani was coming back to the gate with a staff who held the key. But the locked gate was already opened that time and she didn't see Manda around. She looked up for Manda, then she found some spring rolls, the snacks that made by Manda's mother that they couldn't finish them last time, on the floor on the corridor school, it lead to the storage room. Without any words Lani ran toward it. Leaving the staff that she asked for help earlier.

Lani arrived at the storage room and she saw Manda with a man in there. He tied Manda up on the chair in the storage room and gagged her mouth so she couldn't make any sound. Lani came in to the room quickly.

"Hei! Let her go!!", Lani was shouting.

That man seemed surprised. But to see Lani was just a little girl, he ran toward her to catch her. But Lani wasn't ran away, she even ran toward that man, when they got closer to each other, that man ready to catch her as he spread his hands and legs opened. In that time, Lani jumped toward and tried to kicking. She aimed to that man's testis. And she hit it, she kicked it so hard. That man was down in such pain. Then, Lani immediately helped Manda out as she untied the rope from that chair and opened the gag that closed the mouth. Manda was crying in fear. But then Lani held Manda's hand as they came out from that storage room and then they ran away to the class.

On the class, the lesson had started, and they saw Mrs. Ellie was teaching in front of the class. But then, she stopped as she noticed Lani and Manda came in to the class. Especially, when she saw Manda was crying.

"Suki-!! Ehm, both of you!! Where have you been?? You're late for the class!! And, what happen to her? Why she's crying? Explain to me right now!!", Mrs. Ellie was mad as she asked to Lani.

"She's been abducted, ma'am! Someone's trying to kidnap her!", Lani said it to Mrs. Ellie.

Mrs. Ellie was seriously surprising to hear that. But some students, lead by Rika, laughed to what Lani had said.

"Ahahaha... What a big liar!! You just come late the class, but your reason really don't make sense! Right?! Right?!", that was what Rika said.

" Shut up, Rika!!", suddenly Mrs. Ellie was shouting at Rika.

The class was being silent at the moment. Then, Mrs Ellie walked closer to Lani.

"Is that the truth?", Mrs. Ellie asked Lani in serious face.

"Yes, of course! I'm not lying! I knocked the man who kidnap her in the storage room, but I'm not sure if he's still in there now..", Lani explained.

" You knock-.. what?! How can-..?! Alright! Take a seat! I'll go to check!", said Mrs. Ellie as she asked them two to sit.

Then she immediately came to the storage room, she asked some staffs around to get her company. And there, they found a man who tried to run away as he held on his ball. Mrs. Ellie asked the staffs to chase him down. That man was not the employee of the school. And he was also so suspicious despite from his look. And also, for Mrs. Ellie, Manda's mother had already told her about Manda's situation yesterday, which it could be happened some day, even though she never knew it would be happened so fast. That was why she didn't think Lani was lying and went on check immediately. And then they got him, the kidnapper, he couldn't run faster because of the pain he felt on his, so the staffs could easily catch him down.

Back to the situation in the class, after she got sat down on her chair, Manda was still crying. Lani tried to cheer her up but she kept in crying without said anything. But suddenly, Rika was interfering as she talking to Lani.

"Hehh! Don't play fool! We know you like to tell lie! Now you even asked the newcomer to play along with your act! Haha... Be ready Mrs. Ellie will come back and scold at you soon! Including you too, newcomer! Hah, you choose a wrong friend to hangout with! I've told you to not to get closer to her, right?! Now you will serve your right!! Ahaha..", Rika was talking in happy face, she had a good time there, but not so long until Lani started to get mad.

"SHUT UP, RIKA!!... Didn't Mrs. Ellie said that too?!... You don't make the situation better here!... Now, you better go back to sit on your chair and  keep your mouth shut!!... Your words don't help Manda to cheer up at all! Manda is crying, can't you see!!?", Lani looked so angry there.

Rika was shocking to hear how anger Lani was. She sat down on her seat as she was going so silent now. All students were silencing actually. But Manda was still crying. Lani was trying to make Manda stopped from crying.

"Hey, it's okay now! Mrs. Ellie will take care of it! You're safe now! Stop crying and don't be sad! We are here with you, I'm here with you! Your parents will be coming too, I guess..", said Lani as she tried to cheer Manda up.

"I, I'm afraid.., huhu..", Manda started to talk in her crying.

" Don't be afraid! That man have had been arrested now! So ayou're safe here!", responded Lani.

" Ummm... I'm not afraid of that man.. huhu..", Manda was shaking her head.

" Huh? So, what are you afraid of?", Lani asked in confusion.

" I'm-.., I'm afraid of.., being tricked.., by you..", Manda said it as she held Lani's hand tightly.

"Being tricked by me? I didn't do that! I don't trick anybody, you know!", Lani gave clarification.

" Yeah, I know... I'm sorry to think that way... Huaa..", Manda hugged Lani tight this time, she even cried louder this time.

"Ah! Hei! There! There! It's okay now! You're safe now!", Lani was patting Manda's head to calm her down.

"Umm, I'm feeling grateful that you don't do that... Because-, because I thought you would be my best friend..", said Manda, she was starting to be calmed a little.

Even though she started to be calmed, she eventually noticed Lani's wounds on Lani's legs and arms. It actually happened because Lani had climbed that locked gate last time. But Lani didn't show any pain in the face at all, not even once.

" Huh? Hmm, I don't really understand what you mean, and I actually never have real friend until now, but if you want to be my friend, I, I think I will be happy to having you as my friend, you're good and kind after all.. hehe..", said Lani as she started to laugh.

" I want to be so strong as you!.. heehee..", responded Manda, she also began to laugh herself.

And then they two were laughing. Manda thought she would feel guilty to Lani if she kept crying in that situation, so she stopped to cry. She still thought about to be as stronger as Lani after all.

And after some moments, Manda's parents came to the school to take her home. As for because of that accident, the school made its students to go home early. As for the man who tried to kidnap Manda, he had arrested and sent to the prison of the federation. As for the information, Manda's father actually was a successful business man. He did some business partnerships with some other corporations. One day, because of the difference of view, he cut the cooperation with one of those corporations in one side party. And that corporation actually didn't accept that decision because it would make them bankrupt. That was so, they got bankrupt after some months later. As the grudges, they tried to get revenge of him as they did everything to getting revenge, including did something to Manda. But their plans never got them being in caught by the justice institution as they always failed to do the things. That made Manda had hard time to have a free dailies without the threats of them. And that was making her to always change her school frequently. They would tell the condition to the school so it would make her being on guard, like what Manda's mother told to Mrs. Ellie last time.

But this time was rather too fast for them to move on her actually. That made Manda's parents to think about higher her protection. That was so, the next day after that accident, Manda didn't came to the school again. Her parents decided her to have homeschooling instead. But that decision made someone to lose something that she never had before too, Lani, after what had happened yesterday, she got worry about Manda's condition, and she also felt somehow happy that she finally got someone who called her, a friend. But that day, she found that Manda didn't come to school, she thought maybe she was actually still afraid of the thing had happened, so she thought it was fine. But next day, Manda still didn't come. Day by days afterwards, she never saw Manda to come to school again. She actually didn't know that Manda had a homeschooling and had stopped to come to the school anymore since she never asked anyone, not even her teachers.

Some years had passed. After she finished the elementary school, Lani got asked to work in her neighbor as the janitor. She got paid and place to live there. She decided to leave her grandparents because she didn't want to be a burden to them. As she worked there, she still permitted to attend the school, and then she was started the high school life. After some years, she decided to find some other work as part-time job and also the other place to live. And then she rented a place to live by herself and got part-time job before she finished her high school study this year.

In the last semester of that study, there was a transfered student came to her class. And surprisingly, that student was actually the person that she always wanted to meet again, Manda. The first time, she saw Manda, she knew it and of course because of after Manda did introducing made her felt certainly that was really Manda. But Manda seemed hadn't noticed her yet. As her seat was also far across from Manda's. And yet the lesson teacher on that time was not someone who could tolerate a noisy things, so she decided to hold off until the break time. Then, the break time had finally came. She couldn't hold herself back to greet and had some conversation with Manda anymore. But, what she got was some boys had already came toward Manda as they tried to ask Manda out or some other things. But Lani didn't stop.

"Stay away from her, boys!!", Lani came closer, shouting to make those boys left Manda.

"What's your problem, Kick Landers?", one of those boys responded to her.

Lani was used to be called Kick Landers since she liked to kick some boys who troubled her or made her thought that way. And right, she just did one kick, the one kick to made them all to stop messing around with her.

"Yeah! I see some problems here! You make her uneasy! Will you just leave her? Or will some kicking be enough for you?", said Lani as she saw troubled face on Manda earlier.

"Shit!! Don't think because you're protected by the rules of woman's harassments, then will make you can do anything you want, you damned!", that boy kept on arguing.

But then Lani did a stance to ready to kick, that made all those boys ran away. They got out of the class.

"Huh! Just a big mouth!", Lani mumbled.

"Umm, thank you for helping me..", Manda was thanking to Lani, she still hadn't noticed who Lani was.

That time, Lani just kept staring at Manda face with such annoying face. So long until Manda finally got felt uneasy herself.

"Uhmm, is there-, is there anything that I can help you..?..", asked Manda.

Manda said it without looking at Lani's face, she tried to avoid it actually. She somehow felt uneasy to it.

"Do you bring a lunch box?", Lani was asking.

" Eh?! Y-yes, I do..", answered Manda.

"I want your spring rolls!", said Lani.

"Huh?! How-, how do you know I have spring rolls?", Manda was surprising to think she never showed her lunch box to others yet.

But then, she gave Lani some of her spring rolls. And Lani took them as she started to eat. Meanwhile Manda was still flustered about thing.

"Wah! Your mom's spring rolls are really good as they used to be, Manda! Yum-yum..", Lani said it as she kept on eating.

" Huh?! Manda?! But, no other call-, could it be?! Are you Lani? Suki Lani?", Manda finally figured that was Lani.

But she didn't wait for Lani's confirmation, she immediately hugged Lani, she hugged Lani tightly as she really missed so much. That made Lani got troubled on eating those spring rolls.

"Uwowb! Heib! Holb ub! Waib seb! I'mb eabingb herb!", that what Lani said, her words referred to, wow! Hei! Hold up! Wait a sec! I'm eating here!.

"Oh! Sorry, I'm just so happy to finally meet you! I missed you so much, Lani!", Manda let her hug off from Lani, and she seemed so happy.

" Umm.., yeah, but you couldn't recognize me just now, could you?", said Lani after she swallowed the foods on her mouth.

"Uh! Emm.., it, it can't be helped! Look, look at you! You have changed so much! Your hair is short! Your style! And what you did earlier! You're becoming such a bully yourself, aren't you?", explained Manda.

Manda saw Lani was really different from she used to be, her hair was short as a boy. Her styles and her behaviors were also almost referred to boy, and then she seemed like such a bully this time. That was why Manda couldn't even recognize her.

" Oh! Hmm, well, that's umm..", Lani seemed couldn't find words for herself.

"But I'm glad I can meet you again!!", said Manda.

Then suddenly Manda hugged Lani again like before, she was crying. This time, Lani was patting her head as Lani tried to calm her down with the hands that still held some spring rolls on them.

"There! There! I'm also glad to see you again, Manda! Um! Sorry but, can I finished these spring rolls first..?", asked Lani as she wanted to eat all spring rolls on her hands.

Then that time break was felt too short for them to have much time to release their feeling of missing to each other. Some other students just saw them having their own time whole break time. But then the class was starting again and they two couldn't be close again since their seats was so far along. They still wanted to have some conversations on their own. But they held it up till the class finishes. That was so, finally class finished after some hours. Then, they went home together. On their way on that school hall, they kept talking as they headed to the school entrance to go home.

"...~ But still, look at you too! You're prettier than the last time I saw you, Manda.. haha..", Lani kept talking.

" Heehee... You're pretty too, Lani! And how many years it has been, of course we changed from we used to be..", said Manda.

" Hmm.., but I'm not as pretty as you after all! I bet there were many boys in your last school who asked you out to date..", Lani was teasing.

" Emm, well, they're all so kind to me, but in the end, I just stayed for a year in every class in the those schools..", explained Manda.

" Huh? You're moving frequently? Are those guys kept chasing you?! I mean that kidnapper..", asked Lani.

" Mm, yeah..", confirmed Manda.

"It must be hard for you to keep moving from one school to another! You need to adapt to new environment so often, right?", said Lani.

" Well yes, but, after the accident in our school few years ago, my parents asked me to go back to my hometown at D'Jaya city and decided for me to have the homeschooling for some years until I finished the study of elementary school, and then I asked my parents to have normal school again for the high school, then I got the high school life, even I need to move from one school to another every one or half years... But it's still fun! Especially now! I can finally meet you again! Heehee..", Manda was laughing femininely.

" Eh? Fun? Do you think those kidnappers doing those things to make you have fun? You're weird!", Lani responded Manda words.

" Aheehee... Whatever! More importantly, I can meet you again, my best friend! Huhu..", replied Manda as she was hugging Lani all of sudden, again.

"Yeah! Yeah! Umm, but.., didn't we just meet for one day last time? And we just talked when on school yard and after that accident, that's all, why you think I'm your best friend already, didn't you have any in other schools?", Lani asked as she was wondering.

" Eh?! Can't I?", responded Manda, as she let off her hug from Lani.

" Um, that's not what I mean.., I'm just wondering, you know! Hehe..", Lani replied.

" Hmm, I'll tell you the reason later! But you missed one thing back then! We didn't meet just one day, it was two, that was when I was signing for the school where we bumped to each other that day, you remember?", Manda explained.

" Ah! Right! That day! Hehe... Um, well, how do you go back to your home now? Public transportation?", Lani was asking.

" No! My family's driver will came to pick me up! Oh, hei, come with me! I'll give you a ride to your home!", Manda invited Lani to go home with her car.

"Ah! No, thanks, I live nearby, just some minutes by walk!", Lani declined.

"Oh! I'll go to your place then! I want to meet your grandparents, they're fine, right?", Manda was seen to want to be with Lani a little bit more times.

"Oh, yeah, they're fine, but I don't live with them anymore, I'm living alone now in renting place, and also, after this, I need to work for my part-time job, so you can't come, sorry, maybe next time, okay?", Lani told her reason for her refusing.

"Huh!? You had part-time job? Are you-..", Manda wanted to say something but suddenly some boys blocked their way.

"Yeah! You can't!! And you better don't get closer to her! The Kick Landers will just give you a hard time, you know!", one of those boys was talking.

Those were the boys from their class who tried to talk with Manda earlier before finally Lani was interfering. They seemed wanted to do something to Lani, because what she had done before. Lani was actually not really close to everybody, but since she got her high school life, she turned to be more aggressive as she couldn't stand bullying. She ended up helping the one who got bullied. She didn't afraid of some boys, she would start to kick their balls to make them stop bullying that student again. She frequently did that thing until in this school, she got called (Su)Ki-ck Lan(i)-ders as she always kicked the boys or even men who did bullying or threat her bad. She got much troubles from those things, but she didn't care too much about those. And kept her life as it used to be, she used to be alone though.

"Leave us alone!", Manda was shouting to make them leaving.

But they didn't care, they held Lani's hands, one boy to each sides, then they dragged her along to the school side, the place which empty from anyone, but it was still inside school area which between school and outside that separated by the wall fences. Manda didn't know what to do, she just followed them to that place. In there, those boys seemed like ready to give some punches to Lani but Lani looked so calm. Until she did a back kick to the boy who held her right hand. That kick aimed to his ball, of course, she hit it hard and made him knocked down as he let her hand off. Next, she quickly kick another boy who held her left hand. To the same place as the last boy, but it seemed harder than before. He was down as he let off her hand and held his for it really felt pain. One boy left, the one who tried to give his punch. Without anyword, Lani ran toward and gave her best punch to his face, he fell on the ground. But Lani didn't stop there.

"This is to keep your mouth shut!", Lani kicked him on his ball.

They were down in the real pain which couldn't be imagined. But, Lani was to focus on them as she didn't notice a thing. When she turned around to see Manda, she saw Manda had already grabbed by some people as they gagged Manda's mouth so she couldn't make sound. Lani surprised, she immediately ran toward them. They went to school's back, there was another gate to get out of school. Lani ran fast as she reached them now. She ran toward to the man who held Manda as she tried to give her punch to him. But suddenly another man grabbed her from the other side. She was being caught too. Then she was wriggling to get off. But then the other man hit her back, that made her lost her conscious.

All blank for her in the moments, until she got her conscious back. But she found out that she had already in some place inside the dark room with small lamp on the corner. She also had been tied up in the wooden chair. She couldn't make any sound as her mouth had been gagged. A second moment later, a man came into that room, followed by some others.

"You know what will happen to you? Hehehehe..", that man was laughing followed by the others.

That time, Lani kept trying to got her hands out of the tied without being known by those men. She had trained herself to that thing back then in the past for in the case if the thing like this happened, and she did, she got her hands freed. As she got her hands freed, she immediately punched that man's face as he was closed to her. That punch made him pushed back.

"Shit! Hold her!!", that man got mad, he asked his men to hold her hands.

Lani tried to run but her legs were tied in the chair too, so she couldn't get out, then those men got held her again.

"Damnit! How can she got her hands off from that rope!?!... But whatever! You hold her tight!!", that man, he looked like to be their boss, he ordered his men to held Lani tightly.

That boss walked close to Lani and he opened the gag that covered her mouth.

"You are a tough girl, you know!?", that boss said it to Lani.

" Where is Manda?!", after her mouth was freed, Lani immediately asked the question.

"Oh! You mean the other girl? We knew her as Shuki, the girl that we had tried to chase from long time ago!  We got business with her father though! And she is the perfect thing to have revenge..", that boss was talking about Manda and her father connection to him.

"I don't care! Let her go! Or you'll-..", Lani was gonna say some words but suddenly she got slapped so hard.

"Shut up! You don't have a place to order me around!", said that boss after slapping her.

" Uh! What will you do with her?!", Lani asked again.

" You will also get what she will get!", that boss was saying as he started to reap off her uniform.

"You pervert!", Lani was shouting.

"Shut up!!... Hah?! Yours are smaller that hers, you make me put off!", he said it after he got her bra off.

"I better get back to that girl again before I got myself bored! You guys can have this girl now!", added him as he walked away from that room.

"You damned perverted!! Don't you dare to touch her! Or I will kill you!!", Lani was shouting hard, made him stopped.

"Touch her? Why should I touch her? If I could do anything to her!", said that boss as he showed his perverted face to Lani.

"You scum!! I will kill you! I'm gonna kill you for sure!!", Lani kept shouting.

But that boss had left that room, leaving her with some of his subordinates. She was crying. But she was not crying for herself, but Manda. But after their boss left. Those men started to get move on her.

"Ah! Boss really mean to have that pretty girl all by himself, and leave us with this tomboyish girl..", one of those men was complaining.

" Don't worry! After he got bored, he will give her to us though..", another man was replying.

" Yeah right! If her father couldn't find us at that time..", that man replied to that replying.

Lani was really angry that time. It was added by those conversations. She didn't really care about her body that time. Her hands was still being held by them. But then she noticed something. Her right hand was really closed to the man's who held her right hand. That was so, with her full power of her hand grip, she grabbed that man's to make her hand free. And she did. And with that right hand, she immediately punched the man who held her left hand. She did to make that man fell backward. Two others men got surprised by that, then one of them tried to hold her hands tight, but that made his head got closer to her head. Without thinking, she used her forehead to heading that man's face, he fell backward.

"Aww!!", reacted Lani after she headed that man.

But she immediately tried to untied her legs, first, she tried to untie her right leg. But there was one man left, he tried to stop her. But he got too late. Lani had trained herself to untying fast in many situation in the past, so she could untie her leg really fast. Then, when that man got closer to her, she kicked his ball with her right foot. He was down. And then she untied herself out from that wooden chair. She got free and immediately ran outside that room to find Manda, but those men weren't done yet, they still tried to get up then chasing her.

Room after rooms, she got checked, but she didn't find Manda anywhere. Then she saw a staircase to get upside, but two men came out from the room which blocked her way to the staircase. But she didn't think out a lot anymore. She kept ran forward. She rammed toward those men and made them pushed back to strike some things there , they fell, and she immediately stood up again and ran to the upstairs. There, she found the opened room, then she saw that boss with Manda on the bed. Wrathful Lani, immediately came to that room, picked anything on her grabbed then used it to smashed that boss' head. He got hit and got down. Lani immediately grabbed that boss off from Manda and pushed him away to the floor.

But then his subordinates had already in front of that room. Lani prepared herself to fight them all. Then, that boss also stood up too.

"You bastard!! How dare you to hit my head like that!", that boss looked angry.

" Kill her!!", then he ordered his subordinates to kill Lani without looked on his back.

But he got no one moved to charge on her. He also saw a surprised face on Lani's face. He thought something had happened behind him. Then he turned his head back to see his subordinates. He saw them all had laying on the floor and he also saw a blue robe man stood there.

"Who are you?", that boss was asking to that robeman.

"I've handled his subordinates! He is all yours!!", that robeman seemed didn't talk to the boss, he ignored the boss and talked to Lani.

Lani quickly moved closer to that boss and kicked his ball from his back. He got down. But Lani hadn't finished with him. She kicked him again before she got closer to his face. She punched his face hard a few times, then with her two hands, she thumped his face so hard for another few times, he had lost his conscious that time. Her hands had covered with blood, but she kept on hitting him until that robeman was saying something.

"He will died eventually, you know!", that was what he said.

Lani stopped hitting, and stared to the robeman with wrathful face. That robeman went silent and turned his face to the other way. And then she continued to hitting that man. So long, until she seemed finally satisfied. But then, she started to see her hands that full covered with blood, she was suddenly crying. She really got lost her control of herself after she saw the crying face of Manda when that boss pounded on her. She couldn't stand it to see that. But suddenly.

"Use it to cover your body!", that robeman, took off his robe and gave it to Lani by throwing it.

He did that because Lani had still topless because her uniform had been torn by those men earlier. Beside, he still had some shirts on him. After she got that robe, she suddenly stood up and move to the bed where Manda was still laying there with her arms tied on that bed, she was crying so much that seemed like there was no tear left to came out. Then Lani covered Manda with that robe since Manda didn't use any on her that time. Then Lani untied her arms then got closer to her and embraced her tightly to calm her. They two were crying in sobbed. Manda didn't say anyword but to cry whole the time, so did Lani, she embraced Manda tightly while crying non stop without even care about herself. Those two was crying for almost an hour. Until Manda seemed fell asleep in her cry. And Lani, she seemed calmed down now, then she looked at the robeman who had gave her his robe, he sat on the chair in that room after took care the bodies of those men.

"Who are you?", Lani asked that man.

"Em?! I'm wiseman Didiè!... Use it for yourself!", answered that man, wiseman Didiè.

As he said thay, he threw a jacket to Lani, he got that jacket from one of those men. Since Lani had given the robe he gave to Manda, he thought she needed another one to cover herself.

"Mmm... Thank you..", said Lani after she wore that jacket.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't come earlier, if I could come earlier, maybe this-..", wiseman Didiè tried to say something but it cut by Lani.

"What had happened, can't be undone! Don't say it again!... But still, who the hell are you? What do you want?", Lani asked again.

" I told you my earlier! I'm wiseman Didiè, well, I come here because of my friend asked me to come to get you! We want to invite you to our academy to train future protectors! She said you're selected to be a candidate of special training on our academy, it should be her who came here to get you, but she got something urgent, so she asked me to replace her and come to you instead..", wiseman Didiè explained the things to Lani.

"I don't get what are you talking about! Mm, but thank you to come here and for your help! And I think I don't interesting for your offer! Sorry!", Lani tried to decline.

" I see, she's right! She knew you'd say that! Then she said it too, do you want to get stronger? To be able to protect everyone dearest for you? Your training these whole times, are those enough to protect them? You're still worried that you couldn't protect them, right? Then come! You'll be stronger for sure if you find your true power!, those are what she said..", wiseman Didiè told what his friend wanted to say to Lani by the paper on his hand.

"Huh?!", Lani reacted to that words.

She seemed surprised to hear what that wiseman's friend said to her. She always trained herself in the past, to become stronger and stronger, but today, she just realized that what she did and trained in that past hadn't made her strong enough to protect what she wanted to protect. She thought it could be her chance to get stronger. So, she seemed to change her mind as she asked that wiseman again.

"Can I really become stronger if I come with you?", that was what Lani asked.

" It's depend on you! You should choose wisely for your own good! So, what do you say for that invitation? I'll give you a time to thinking! I'll wait you here by tomorrow afternoon, after you got home from your school, em, you'll come to school tomorrow, right?", wiseman Didiè was talking fast.

" You're talking too fast, em, but I got your point, you'll be here after I get home from school tomorrow, right? Alright that will be good!", Lani responded.

" Oh, okay! Uh! And also, my friend wanted me to give you this as present!", wiseman Didiè held something on his fingers, some kind of pill.

"What is that?", Lani was asking.

"This? This is kind of healing pill, transferred some power from the maker to other, by sacri- ehm, sorry! It's healing pill! To heal your wounds and kill all the pains! Look at you! How can you didn't feel any pain from those wounds and bruises on your whole body?", explained wiseman Didiè to Lani.

" Huh?!... Ugh! Now you mentioned, it's all pain all over my body! Aww!!..", said Lani reacted to her pains.

She suddenly felt the pains all over her body. She was too focus on saving Manda last time that she didn't care about herself. She actually got some hits and damages from those men earlier, but she didn't feel it as she kept striking and went forward to come to save Manda. After some times, she finally could feel all those pains, she was feeling the hurts in whole her body. Then, as she felt those pains, wiseman Didiè came closer to her and gave the pill to her, no he made her eat it himself actually. Lani surprised by that but, he had made her ate the pill and she had swallowed it. Spontaneously, Lani kicked wiseman Didiè's ball. He got it, and got it hard, he was down on the floor as he felt the pain on his.

"Ughh!!", he couldn't say anything.

"That your fault to force me to eat it!!", Lani stood up on her feet.

But then she felt something strange on her. It was not bad thing, it was all the pains that she felt just now were gone. This times, they were real gone. She felt refreshed.

"Wah!! The pains are really gone! Wow! It's great!", Lani moved energetically there.

Then she crouched to get closer to wiseman Didiè.

"Emm, I'm sorry, but do you have another pill for Manda too?", that what she said to him.

He didn't answer Lani at all, he actually got mad at her. And after some time passed, Lani took Manda home by taxi. On their way, Manda seemed got better, then she asked Lani to keep what had happened that day as the secret from her parents. She didn't want to stop schooling again because of that, especially it would made them separated again. With hard feeling, Lani agreed to that. After got Manda home, Lani came back home too.

Next day, on school, Manda came to school as usual like nothing had happened, but something could be seen in her face as something she hid within. She actually still felt traumatic because of what had happened yesterday. But she did her best to hid it from everyone. That day, she had always been by Lani side. She didn't want to separate with her. Their bond were getting closer to each other as they were real best friend now. But then after the classes finished, Lani finally told her about wiseman Didiè's invitation. Lani thought about to getting stronger, stronger enough to protect everyone especially her. She really wanted to come along, but Lani told her that wiseman said it was only for one person invitation, no one could come along. After hearing that, Manda seemed like to cry but Lani made promise that she would come back and find her again.

"Don't worry! After I get the power to protect you, I'll come back! I'll find you, okay! I promise!", that was what Lani said.

" Do you mean, you will come to D'JAYA city and look for me? Then, I'll wait for you there!", said Manda.

" Alright! I'll find you there!", responded Lani.

" Oh, right! You ever ask me about why I call you my best friend even we just meet, right? I'll tell now then-..", Manda was gonna say the things but, Lani declined.

" No need it anymore! Whatever society talk about how best friend is! What I have here! I don't need the society to judge! You're the best friend I have here! And I don't care about what will they judge about us! That's it all!", said Lani.

What Lani had said made Manda felt so happy, that made she couldn't hold her tears from dropping. She immediately hugged Lani. Then after some moments later, Manda wanted to say another thing.

"After you come back from your training, you have to come to my house in D'JAYA city, okay! There, I will introduce you with Kiki, someone who I've admired too, just like you, maybe you could get along well with-..", Manda hadn't finished her words but suddenly Lani cut it as her mother was waiting at the school gate.

"Look! Your mother have come to pick you up! Alright, don't worry! I've promise you, right? I'll come to your hometown and meet with Kiki, together with her, maybe we could be bff too, hehe... Well, off you go!! Bye bye!", said Lani as she pushed Manda to move fast toward her mother, then waving her hand as sign of farewell.

Then they were doing farewell to each other. As Lani would go to the place where wiseman Didiè waited her. As for Manda, she was feeling rather a little annoyed because she hadn't finished her words to Lani last time. She thought Lani had misunderstanding about Kiki, because he is not a girl as Lani thought so. But she wished that Lani would come as she promised.
