Unexpected Catch

Meryl looked at Velina in disbelief.

The girl looked beautiful even though she dressed plainly.

Why is she here?

Why is she with Eva?

When she thought of many possibilities in her head, Mandy also looked over at the direction Meryl was looking at.

"Do you know that girl?" She still clearly remembered that girl was the woman from yesterday that she thought was made out with Marino in his office.

Instantly, she felt upset.

"Hi girls!" Eva greeted them both, walked up to them, and smiled. "Let me introduce you all. This is Nana. She's a new talent in our company!" She introduced Nana to them.

Instantly, the two of them looked at each other, as if splashed by cold water, did not expected it at all that the girl would join their agency. They both disliked Nana, with their personal reasons.

Meryl was still annoyed with Nana because of the embarrassing incident at Fanny's boutique, and the girl ignored her completely when they met again at the gym, while Mandy felt jealous to see her made out with Marino yesterday afternoon.

"Hi, I'm Nana!" Velina looked at the two of them, smiled sweetly.

The girl ignored Meryl who looked at her in annoyance. If Eva was not there Eva, Meryl would certainly already tugged Velina's hair for acting cute.

But, because it was Eva who brought Velina and personally introduced her to them, Mandy held back her dislike and greeted Nana, "Hi, I'm Mandy, and this is Meryl, we are both international models here" she said, introduced Meryl who was standing next to her to Velina.

Being introduced by Mandy, Meryl reluctantly greeted her with a wave of her hand.

After that, Eva continued with her job, brought Velina and Jena to the next floors.

Behind them, Meryl and Mandy were deep in thought, watching them leave with a complicated look on their faces.

At four p.m, a dark BMW 7 series stopped in front of Val Entertainment building.

A young man with black glasses wore a gray T-shirt and black jeans and a pair of white sneakers, got out of the car. He was leaning against the body of the car. At that moment, he typed something on his cellphone.

When he saw Velina and Jena come out of that building, he immediately opened the back door for Velina. They immediately got into the car and drove somewhere.

Before long, they arrived at a quite big pharmacy. From the outside, the building seemed to have two floors only.

As soon as they entered the pharmacy, the staff bowed respectfully to Velina, to which she answered with a nod.

They then got into the elevator. This kind of elevator could only be operated using a staff card.

When they entered the elevator, suddenly the lights in that small room dimmed, replaced by several red rays that scanned their bodies perfectly. After the machine confirmed their identities, the elevator immediately descended to lead them to a secret floor.

After a while, the elevator doors opened. In front of them, there was a very large room. Despite being deep in the ground, this secret facility was brightly lit and quite crowded. People looked busy with their various jobs.

Just like the staff at the pharmacy, when they accidentally turned their heads and saw Velina's group who just came, they all bowed their bodies, saluted her. Velina also kindly smiled and nodded her head at them.

Before long, they arrived in front of a room that looked like a prison.

Velina then stretched her hand towards Jun. Jun immediately gave a package that he had been carrying.

"All right, let's try this!" Velina unwrapped the package.

This morning she had asked Jun to pick up a new prototype liquid from the port that could be used for interrogation.

Jun immediately pulled someone out of the cell. His face was furious when Jun pulled him roughly. He then made that person to sit in front of Velina.

Leisurely, Velina injected the liquid down at his neck. That guy roared in pain, before long, he fell silent. His breathing was getting faster from time to time.

"Alright, boy! Now, tell me, why are you stalking my little sister?" She asked in a low voice.

The man growled, felt a sudden pain in his chest.

"It's useless to hold on. If you try to fight back, you'll be in even more pain."

The liquid that had just been injected into the man's body was a new modified poison. The poison would attack a person's body if their heart beat faster than normal heartbeats.

Normally, a person's heart rate would beat faster when he lied, so, this prototype of new poison was extremely suitable as an interrogation tool.

"Aaarrgghh!!!" The man tried to endure the pain in his chest.

Velina yawned, felt bored. She then glanced at the clock. "You will die in an hour if you don't tell me the truth!" She threatened.

That man finally felt frightened when he could not bear the pain anymore.

The man finally realized that they were not just random people, so, he intended to be straightforward instead.

"All right, all right!!! I'll tell you the truth... But you have to promise me that you guys will let me go and heal me!" He finally said, while enduring the pain.

"I have no bad intention towards Nadine! I... I..." The man seemed hesitant to continue his sentences.

"I was... Nadine's ex-boyfriend back then at the univ." He continued. "I... just wanted to talk to her because I was in need of money!" He added again.

"What?!!"

Suddenly, the man's answer took Velina by a surprise.

She definitely had no idea that this man turned out to be the ex-boyfriend of his sister back then in college.

Since the incident at her grandfather's birthday party, Velina had indeed tightened the security around all of her family members.

A day ago, one of her men who were assigned to guard Nadine from afar gave a report that a stranger was secretly following Nadine's movements.

Velina immediately ordered her men to catch the person.
