Marino gave Daniel a suspicious look.

Feeling a cold gaze directed at him, Daniel sighed. He locked the gun and put it down. He then turned his head to look at Marino.

"Do you know that I still like Velina, don't you?" Daniel finally opened up that conversation.

"Until today?" Marino doubted it.

It had been a long time since Velina and Daniel saw each other before Velina's return to Vanesia two months ago.

Daniel nodded.

"I think I really like Velina, and since she's back, I want to be closer to her and who knows I could find a way to get her heart" he spoke honestly to Marino because he was the older brother of the girl he liked and who happened to be his best friend as well.

Marino thought deeply about it.

He still vividly remembered the last time when Daniel made his younger sister cried and in the end, had a fever for days. After that incident, Velina did not want to hear or talk about anything related to Daniel at all.
