An unreal mystery

I'm Mary, tomorrow I will be 19 years old. I wish for a better life and I want to meet my parents just once if it's possible. I live with my uncle Christopher. I've never met my parents. My father went missing after the great war and my mother couldn't survive after brought me to this yet-discovered world and that's all I acknowledge. Well at least that's what Christopher told me but I believe they happily live together somewhere.

Drip, drip, drop...

It's raining outside and I'm too bored for doing nothing in this abode with Christopher. We usually pass our days by exploring the outside world. Christopher is so kind to me. Ever since both of my parents has gone, he is taking care of me like his own child but poor him that his wife couldn't survive her illness at the age of 37 and died. He always visited my mother after the departure of my father, he couldn't leave my mother all alone and supported my mother with all he could and on the day I was to be born my mother begged him to take care of her baby, if somehow she couldn't survive. Just thinking about it make my eyes teary and breaks my heart.

Drip drip drop ...

The sound of the rain is so soothing, louder than the ticking of clock, the temperature of my bedroom is getting colder which make me cover up myself with my blanket. I'm getting sleepy, so I decide to take my book and fill the blank paper with my thought. I write, write, and write until I fall asleep.

The sound of the bird chirping so harmoniously and the sound of the wind dancing by the trees is so soothing, I kept listening to the sound of nature while not wanting to open my eyes yet.

Tick tock tick tock, soon the sound of the clock is louder than every sound, following with the sound of footstep of people walking towards me. It is getting closer, closer, and so close, I open my eyes spontaneously and see nothing, I want to wipe my sweat with my hands but I can't then I realize that my hands are tied and tangled up with thorns and blood is spilling from my legs, "rose's thorn, but why?" confusedly asking myself, suddenly the sound of terrifying footstep towards my room appears on my head stomp stomp stomp, so loud and getting louder the thorns getting tighter as it feels so hurt. Soon I begin to cry and a softly creepy voice whisper to my ear "it's okay, dear" the word keep repeating inside my head and suddenly I feel the pain on my neck as if someone biting my neck, the time I feel the pain I begin to scream and "poof" it's all disappear as if nothing happen then I realize it's all just a dream and the sweat all over of my body is dripping so quickly as my tears starting to drop, hearing my tragically scream Christopher soon come to my bedroom and ask me if I'm okay? It's just a nightmare, I replied. As soon as Christopher left my room I faced the mirror and looked at myself, I am beyond astonish that there is a bite mark on my neck, the mark is not giving me any pain but it is giving me the feeling of being terrorized.

Tick tock tick tock the sound of the clock giving me so much chill as if that feeling of being terrorized by something invisible, The clock and the rain are the one that witnessed the terror of that night.
