1 PROLOGUE

"This type of invitation…" Mark paused then wave the invitation in the air with his left hand. "Are you sure you want to go there?" He ask like his face has written a big question mark on it. "That's new." He added too.

I stopped from signing papers and then look at his direction to see what is he preferring to. When I saw that it was an invitation from that woman's university, I just stayed silent and continued my work because I know Mark. He will ask me again and again if I told him about the woman I met from the coffee shop nearby.

"By the way, the shipment was successfully delivered in our basement in Milan." He said while returning the invitation and fix his suit after that.

"Make sure that nobody sees the loads and if there is, you know what you will do." I replied to him not removing my attention on what I'm doing.

"I can assure you that, it was midnight when we arrived at the basement and no one was in the area. We checked the other areas 2 kilometers away from the basement too." He said with a serious tone like it is a business that we are talking.

"That's good then, we should not alarm the other clans about our shipments. It is better to equip first in a war than be a empty handed man." I said while finishing the last paper to be sign. He agreed too by nodding his head.

After I finished signing the papers, I looked at the clock that is opposite to where my seat is. It's already 7:49 P.M and it is nearly the time to leave the office.

'Did she leave the coffee shop right now?' I ask myself as I lean my back in the swivel chair. I look at the busy lights down the road. The other buildings are starting to turn off their lights as they probably will leave the office to go home now.

After a while, I decided to leave to see if the girl is in the coffee shop or not anymore. I drove my car to the direction of the shop and then I saw her. She was about to leave the shop after she bid goodbye to her co-workers, then she started to walk in the street to go home. It was already cold outside because of the season so she is wearing a thick clothes and a thick jacket but her long slim legs is just covered with a thin leggings I think. Oh God, what am I thinking right now? It was so detailed. Is that how I look at her? F*ck!

When I saw her turn to the left side of the street which will bring her to an alley, I felt like something bad will happen to her if I didn't follow her in that street. So I find a place to park my car and then I tried to run towards the street. While running towards the alley, I called Mark to take some of my men with him. I send him my location and I kept running towards the street. Then I turn into the alley where she turn to.

And my face darkened when I saw what is happening to her. A two bastards is holding her both hands and the other one is leaning towards her, that moment I want to cut the hands of the two bastards that holding her both hands and I want to torture the head of the other one who's leaning his head towards her. I slowly clasped my hand while walking in their direction.

"Hey! What are you doing!" I shouted to stop them from moving and to take their attention.

"It's none of your business!" He shouted back and then he put his arm around the girl's shoulder which my rage increased more. "This girl is my girlfriend so don't meddle here!" He added.

When I could get close to them, I look at his ugly face then I give him a strong punch that causes him to lay on the road while suffering from the pain. Then the two shit also lunge some punches but I avoided all of their punches and then I also gave them strong punches. Honestly, I want to punch them over and over until they die but this woman will saw my dark side and I don't want that to happen. My priority just now is to save her from these bastards.

After that, I turned to her to see if she is fine and thankfully she is fine. I approach her as she cried her eyes out, I can see fears on her eyes. She is so scared in this situation and I want to hug her tight right now. I want to comfort her so much. But I can see her reaction changed when she saw the guy will attack me.

"At your back!" She shouted as fear covered her greatly.

But I know what will happen so I take the chance to hug her tightly as I can. I embrace her tightly as I whispered to her ear. "Don't look and close your eyes."

When Mark and the others took the three ugly bastards, I let her go as her face was filled with confusion.

"They are gone, they probably chose to run from us." I explained then I totally give us some distance. I can see her face being relieved in what I said.

"Thank you, for helping me again." She said to me with full of gratitude on her voice. "Are you hurt by the way?" She added as she search my body if there is any injuries but she didn't see any. I know she is shy right now because I just stare at her and not talking. So I just smiled at her to make her feel at ease.

"I'm Vonniel." I said. "I'm Mary." She said.
