Chapter Two A new Beginning

After prayer's Mary went out with jade to the scrap yard.

the scrap yard was not the best but there were hidden treasures, jade was especially skillfull at finding treasure. it was like her talent. she is like a hound dog looking for treasure. after a while, they hit gold and found the last thing she needed for the bike she was building, the brake coil, because the bike didn't have breaks so it couldn't be stopped except by using her legs

After a successful haul, they also found some farm equipment spare parts using jade, she started walking home when she saw her childhood friend Andrew who was the same age as her, although they weren't as close as before due to family. Andrew's dad owned a bigger farm and used advanced machines so the were rich.

Andrew was a 17 year ols young man with black hair and blue eyes, she once had a big crush on him and she still did, Andrew talked to her and they talked about the town, weather and family. then Andrew told her he was going for college in the town and he would be leaving soon. they parted ways and it got Mary thinking if she should write the medical exam although she had only gone to the local primary school, she was exceptionally brilliant.

They got home and she continued her duties like milking the cows, ploughing the grass and others.

she went into the garage which she made her work shop and started work on the brakes of the car, she continued thinking about medical school. then she remembered seeing a scholarship application on her dad's phone. the exam needed an application fee which was hard for her parents to provide.

she decided to sell the bike and other things she made at the market and get the form at the town hall. the exam was the next day.

Mary got home and quickly told her mum and dad about it. but shockingly they were against it. they wondered how she got the money and told her only the rich got the scholarship, but she wasn't discouraged. she went in her room with jade and prayed for help from God.

The next day she prepared and went for the exam with stares from her parents they didn't want to discourage her but they were thinking about their circumstances.
