4 Aftermath

Somewhere in Russia...

Stan Lee is watching Barton and Natasha fighting. This has been going on for a couple of months now. They have been on and off for a while. When Barton starts trying to ask Natasha to join Shield, Stan Lee feels the massive amount of energy Andy gave off.

"Ho, that's powerful; I wonder who that is. Hmmm, it seems like a kid that has got a bright future ahead of him. I wonder what he will bring into the action. Geeze, finally she said yes." as he looks down to see Natasha wrapped around Barton like a pretzel. (Super jelly. I know you all are too) She lets him go, and they both stand up. You can tell how on guard she is as Barton calls in a ride for the both of them.

New York Sanctum...

The Ancient One was visiting the New York Sanctums vault. She does this from time to time when she is not teaching her students. As she felt a massive amount of energy, she looked to the south.

"What a large amount of energy, and I can't seem to see through a peculiar fog." She says she spins up a portal to the place she felt the highest energy reading. As she gets there, she sees a boy. The surroundings were smashed apart. She looks to the fencing, where a lady was impaled by multiple rails. She looks back towards the boy and frowns.

'Must be more to this. He doesn't seem particularly evil.' she said as she looked around. She saw the house half-collapsed and did not feel anyone else around besides the boy and the older lady. She then looks to the shovel, buried shovel end first in the ground and the mounds next to it. She gestures and pulls up the graves to see multiple small bones.

"I see. I will fix the area for you, but that is all I can do to give you some time to recover. Many people are starting to look for you right now." when she says this, she opens the Eye of Agamotto, and everything seems to rewind. The house gets put back together, and the fence stands upright. She throws a portal at the bones and the lady, and they disappear. Gestures towards the graves, and they become flat with green grass. She then opens a portal under Andy, and he goes into the house onto a bed. She looks around for anything else and portals back to the Sanctum.

'The future looks much brighter with the boy in the mix. I shall help him no more. Hopefully, he does not get caught by the wrong people. The most I can do is give him more time.' She sighs to herself

"Let us go read a novel. I need me time after that."

New York City, New York...

In an office, some stories up, a man in a black trench coat is sitting in an office chair. He seems to have a constant scowl on his face, with one eye covered by a black eye patch. It has been a few years since he got scratched by that damnable cat.

'What the hell is even a Flerken' He thought as he swings his chair around and stares out his windows, looking at the surrounding city.

'Seems to quiet. That can't be a good thing.' He sits there thinking to himself. He sent Barton back in late January to kill that Natasha Romanoff.

'She's been a thorn in my side for a while. I wonder how he is doing with that.' He thought a knock comes at his door, and an agent walks in.

'Only one mutha fucka would do that' Fury turns around to face an agent wearing a black suit. He has got a long forehead and constantly looks like he is smiling. Even with the alarming look, he has got right now. He had brown hair combed over to the side and slightly slanted eyes.

"Sir, we seem to have an issue. We have a massive energy reading coming out of Virginia. It was there one instant, then it seemed to vanish. We have a team on its way already. Sir, the numbers taken from that energy spike could have destroyed a small town. The energy slightly resembled the Tesseract. The amount of damage should be quite high." Coulson said

"Put another team on it. You go with them as well. I will have to call Barton; he can see things you guys cannot. Speak of the devil." Fury took out his vibrating phone. "Yeah. You what. I told you to kill her. Ok, get back here. An issue has arisen that needs your eyes. Very well, go straight there. Maybe your 'Friend' can get a guess on what happened. You will debrief me on your current mission at a later date." After he said that, he hung up the phone. He looked at Coulson and said

"Go. Barton will be there in half a day with a companion. Her name is Natasha Romanoff." Coulson's eyes widened as Fury said that.

"Sir, are you sure about that? We have no idea what abilities she has or if she will cause any trouble. We can't take a risk like that." Coulson said with an astonished face.

"Ability? You do realize we have been after that woman for months. What type of ability would she need to stay away from a spy organization and take down our strongest member multiple times? Barton coerced her to start a new life to get her where she could join Shield. If we can get her to join, we will be gaining a huge asset. Just take whatever tech and gadgets you think you will need and head out." Fury said to Coulson

"Roger, sir. I will head out with the second team now." Coulson said as he exited the office.

'I hope you know what you're doing, Barton.' Fury thought as he closed his eye and rested his elbows on the table.

Somewhere in Westchester, New York...

A bald man in a wheelchair was sitting in his study. He had a long face that was starting to wrinkle. This could have been due to the stress of taking care of a school of children with abilities or mutants, as he liked to call them. Or it was just his age catching up. He has been in a wheelchair since 1973, ever since Magneto, his rival, deflected a bullet that tore through his spine.

"Any update on the brotherhood's next actions, Storm?" he asked the other person in the room.

"Nothing yet. Magneto has been noticeably quiet, professor Xavier." Storm said. Storm was a beautiful chocolate woman. She had white hair and blue eyes. She stood around 5' 11" and always seemed to radiate a calm outward appearance.

Suddenly they both perked up. The amount of energy they felt was astonishing.

"Did you feel that?" they both asked at the same time.

"I can't get a reading from whatever let that out anymore. I think it was around northern Virginia. It was strong, whatever it was, Omega at least. I would not be able to get an accurate reading until we find the person that must have blown up his house. I hope everything is ok and no one died. Let us go to Cerebro and see if I can get a better look." Professor Xavier said he started heading into a room that looked like a giant cranium. It had hundreds of blue reflective panels across the circular room. He wheeled along with a bridge-like structure that only went to the middle of the room. The bridge spread out into a circular platform at the end and had a table with a silver helmet that had multiple tubes running from it. As he approached the table, the floor lit up as he passed. Once he got to the table, he placed the helmet over his head and closed his eyes. The lights dimmed.

"Try not to move, and I will try to locate our new friend," Xavier said

After a few minutes, Xavier opened his eyes, and the lights in the room turned back on.

"I can't find anything. It is like they just disappeared. The reading definitely came from somewhere in northern Virginia, though. With an energy discharge like that, there are bound to be some clues. Get the team ready and the jet. We need to leave before Magneto." Xavier said as he rolled out of the room.

Orphanage...

The person who caused all these conversations was currently passed out. His body was changing subtly. The main change was happening to his brain. He was not aware of the problems coming his way, nor of the note sitting next to his pillow on his bed.
