47 Thoughts.

Pop*

Inside Father Orsi's office, an investigation is currently underway. The sound of pop resounded in the room, and with it came a strange small creature with big round eyes that were wearing big round glasses and strange ears. It was a house elf.

"Sir, you called?" The house elf squeaked.

"Yes, Pewee, can you help us with this?" Father Orsi asks while pointing at the unconscious men. Pewee, the house elf, looked at where Father Orsi was pointing in excitement as he hopped his way near the men bound men,

"Hoo, are those intruders, sir?" He asked with stars in his eyes,

"Well, you can say that they are," Father Orsi answered with a small smile. He was looking amusedly at the house elf before him when suddenly the said house elf snapped his fingers, and a small levitating device suddenly appeared in front of them, and it was making a rather strange noise.

"A tracker?"

"Oh yes, sir! And a very advanced one, I dare say; it also has a self-destruct function that could explode within T-minus 2 seconds. T-minus —"

"Shit!"

Pop!*

...

"That... where did you detonate it...?"

"At the laboratory, sir!~. Don't worry, no one's inside there right now, after all, you forbid us from going there, hehe~"

"Of course, I would forbid you; after all, the technology that you're creating is too advanced and destructive to be built under our roof. What would you want me to do, Pewee?" Father Orsi answered with a helpless smile, causing the house elf in question to rub his head in embarrassment,

"Is the runes in place working? They won't pinpoint us with their tracker, right?"

"You have no need to worry, sir. Not in a million years would they do that! I'll locate the receiver of the tracker right away, Sir Orsi. Also, the device also had some sort of sonic device that disrupts the wearer's brain frequency... It's a good defense against mental attack, sir, but in the process of doing so, the wearer may experience a vegetative state." The house elf informed him as he fixed his glasses.

"I see... Maybe that's why those men were groaning when they got here..." Sister Lily commented with a thoughtful look,

'I thought Moses did something...' Father Orsi pondered to himself; his thoughts, however, were cut short by Pewee.

"Sir, we can fix those small devices in a blip with a little reparo charm, but..."

"But...?" Father Orsi asked as he raised one of his eyebrows; he already had an idea what Pewee would ask after all.

"Well... I'll need to upgrade some of the equipment, sir, to locate its signal receiver. It's a new technology, after all, hehe!~" Pewee said as he hopped in glee,

"Sigh... fine, fine, do what you do best, Pewee." The old man agreed in a defeated tone,

"Thank you, sir! If you will..." Pewee bid his farewell as he apparated away from the place.

Pop!*

A few seconds later, in the office, Sister Lily was wearing a grim expression as she looked at Father Orsi and muttered,

"Moses' situation?"

"I'll figure it out first, if I can't find something, only then will I need to talk to the Ancient One about it..." Father Orsi answered, laid his head on his chair, and closed his eyes.

"And meanwhile, I'll make those Squibs talk...got it." Sister Lily said as she walked out of the room,

"Thanks, Sister Lily."

"The mission failed,"

"Of course it will fail,"

"What do you mean it will fail? Did you already know —"

"Yes I know, Whitehall. Either way, even if we failed, the mission still brought us the necessary data for finding out their strengths and weaknesses."

"So this mission is all about finding out their strengths and weaknesses!? You risk our anonymity, Zola!"

"We made sure that nothing could ever go back to us, weren't we? And it was all for the greater good, Malick! Project INSIGHT will need a huge change, and I'm just making the necessary arrangements to fulfill it. Do everything that I said, and everything will go exactly as we want it, got it?"

"Enough... as long as the Project INSIGHT continues its operation, the only thing that Hydra will be battling is time."

"Sigh... home sweet home..." I uttered as I closed my eyes and inhaled the air inside my room. I looked around me and appreciated my surroundings until my gaze landed on my bed. It was Harry; he was sleeping peacefully like nothing could ever wake him up.

I'm not exactly tired, so how about I practice my body manipulation? It's the first time I've gone all out using it, and I felt like I was on cloud nine.

Focusing on my body's structure, I thought of changing it into a hand similar to a —

'Easy first... let's try a monkey's'

Voila! I now have a thick, hairy skin similar to that of monkeys.

"Cool..." I uttered as I willed my hand into different forms possible based on my imagination. Skin with lizard scales, feathers, etc! All were possible, as long as I had an exact visual perception of the specific type of change that I wanted. I can even make my body invisible genetically; I mean, instead of invisibility, it is more of a camouflage, actually.

After playing with my hands, I concentrated on my feet. By changing its form into a horse's feet, bam! Well, you can guess what happened, but overall, what I can say is that body manipulation was worth it!

Some of you might think that cell manipulation is super easy, yay me! Well, you're wrong. One wrong modification can literally unbalance the way that I was created; one wrong move can explode my body—literally. But why didn't that happen to me, I wonder? That's because I ordered my cells to save my original upgraded genome sequence, which makes up my survivability.

So if any unexpected occurrence occurs, then my cell can just automatically be triggered to my original genome sequence. It's like Mario! Every time he dies, he will always load into a saving point, then redo everything all over again! It's cool!

'If I have a complete knowledge map of the cell of any living being, then it is possible to just debunk my save function, but unfortunately, I can't give myself knowledge.' I pondered as I changed my skin structure with my favorite shirt... Now that's my favorite utility skill. With just a thought, a wave of glowing red flesh appeared on my body until it changed into a white T-shirt with a potato design in the middle of it.

"HEHEHEHE!~" An evil laugh escaped my mouth as I turned my nails into finely sharp claws to make my form more menacing because it's cool.

I was minding my own business when suddenly I heard Harry's beating change into signifying that he's already awake.

I looked at him and found that he was already on the verge of being awake. I immediately changed my claws into normal nails and reverted any cell manipulation that I used to change my appearance, except for my T-shirt, of course.

"Moses...?" Harry uttered while rubbing his eyes as he slowly sat up on the bed.

"Yow!~" I greeted him, I stared at him while he was eyeing my room with a confused expression,

"Where are we..."

"In my room! Father Orsi and I brought you her—"

I answered him, but before I could finish my sentence, a realization struck me,

'Harry saw me die, didn't he?' I pondered in horror.

"Ho— how, I saw you... you were dead, right? That police officer shot you..."

"I —" At that moment, the door opened, revealing Father Orsi. He looked at Harry and smiled as he said jokingly,

"You died, Moses. I guess you're a ghost now, aren 't you?"

"Bu— I saw him..." Harry muttered, deep in his thoughts,

"Saw what, son?" Father Orsi asked with one of his eyebrows raised as he sat beside Harry.

"...Nothing, sir. Maybe I was just hallucinating then, I was beaten quite badly after all..." Harry said with an embarrassed smile,

'If Moses really did die, then why is he so alive in front of me right now? Did Uncle Vernon hit my head too much?' Harry thought to himself, a little abashed by his first conversation with Moses' father figure.

I sigh in relief. I trust Harry, but the reason I can't tell him my secrets is because he doesn't have any shreds of mental defenses yet.

I revealed a part of my secret to Wednesday because she and her family have passive mental protection according to the book of wizarding ancestry that I've read. Added to that, her family was pretty powerful, so I doubt anyone would just blatantly read her mind. Just thinking about what Wednesday would do to those individuals gave me chills.

--------

"How do you feel, son?" Father asks Harry.

"I'm feeling quite fine, sir. Thank you for... you know, saving me...?" Harry uttered it unsurely. It's the first time since he said that, in the course of his life, no one has ever saved him. He could ask for help from others, but then what would happen to him? Even though the Dursleys are not a good bunch, they're the only connection that he has to his real parents.

Then suddenly, everything changed. When he found out that his parents had a whole different life in the wizarding world, Harry gained hope—a hope to change the hellish life that the Dursleys gave him.

"You will be fine now, son. No one will hurt you here now." Father Orsi said with a calm smile while gently caressing Harry's back.

"Really...? What about them? Uncle Vernon... He—"

"He won't ever be near you again, Harry. You don't need to worry." Moses comforted, a calm smile adorning his face.

"That... That's good. I'm okay now, sir...I think?"

"That's great to hear..."

"How about you join us for dinner, hmm? It's Moses' favorite this time~"

"No way, really?!" Moses questioned, and elated at what he heard, he dashed towards the doorway as he opened the door and waited for Harry to come,

"Is it possible that it's a potato dish...?" Harry asked,

"Damn right it is, come Harry! Sister Lily's cooking is the best that I know!" Moses said as he dashed away towards the kitchen, leaving one old priest and the boy-who-lived alone in the room with the same thoughts.

"..."

"Is potato the only thing that he eats at that scho—"

"Yes sir."
