19 Investigation...? Hmmm~

[Hogwarts, Third Floor Corridor, September 12th, 1991]

"...No shit." Moses muttered while looking at the enormous three-headed monstrosity sleeping before me. It opened its eyes and saw the four of them, causing it to growl. It stood up towering over them, giving it an intimidating look.

"Motherfu—So that's why it's locked...Run!" Moses yelled as he opened the door and allowed the others to come out. Moses tried to close the door once they were outside, but he couldn't because one of the monster's heads was pushing it toward them with great force.

{I have super strength}

Moses whispered his command as an invisible surge of energy strengthened his body, allowing him to push and overpower the door that was being pushed by the monster's strength.

After closing the door, they all ran, trying to get as far away from that monster as possible. Until they arrived in front of Gryffindor's common room entrance, guarded by a fat lady.

"Where on earth have you all been?" she asked, looking at our robes hanging off our shoulders and our flushed, sweaty faces.

"Never mind that—pig snout, pig snout," panted Harry, and the portrait swung forward.

"You can stay with us for tonight, Moses; come!" Harry suggested,

"Really? Sure! I'm quite curious about what Gryffindor's common room looks like compared to our common room."

They scrambled into the common room and collapsed, trembling, into armchairs. It was a while before any of them said anything.

"What do they think they're doing? Keeping a thing like that locked up in a school. If any dog needs exercise, that one does." Ron complained,

"You don't use your eyes, do you? Didn't you see what it was standing on?" Hermione inquired while rolling her eyes.

"I wasn't looking at its feet, Hermione. I was a bit preoccupied at its heads! Or maybe you didn't notice, there were three!" Ron replied sarcastically with a yell, causing me to chuckle.

"It was standing on a trapdoor. Which means it was guarding." Hermione added, but before she could continue, I interrupted her by saying,

"It was guarding something, but it's better for us to steer clear of it, for now. I'm sure Headmaster Dumbledore has his reasons for keeping that thing here. Now more to the important matters, Hermione, will you sleep with me?" Moses joked as he pushed open the door of the boy's dormitory.

"Wha—What?!"

"Hahahaha, just kidding. Good night, Mione! Ron, Harry, be fast! Do you know how exhausted and drowsy I am? And that's because of you two!" Moses added as he went inside, leaving the trio gobsmacked at his antics.

"Does he have a double personality or what?" Ron asked Harry,

"I don't know, Ron—Hermione? Are you all right?" Harry asked, confused at Hermione's reddened cheeks. He was worried that she was sick.

"I'm—I'm fine!" She stuttered, but Harry's question took her out of her stupor as she composed herself. After composing herself, she glared at Harry and Ron and said in annoyance,

"E—hem, if you two don't mind. I'm going to bed, before either of you come up with a clever idea to get us killed...or worse, expelled."

Bang*

"...She needs to sort out her priorities."

--------------------------------------

As Harry and Ron came in, they saw Moses wandering around the Gryffindor common room, checking it out.

"Pretty warm and cozy." Moses commented while looking around,

"Of course it is. Bet it's not the same as the Ravenclaw's, isn't it?" Ron replied with pride, trying to brag about his house.

"Nah, but it's more spacious, and it has its own library in it, so I'm good... Where will I sleep again?" Moses inquired while looking at the two.

The two boys looked at each other, seemingly having a conversation with their eyes.

....

"You share your room with others? Our house has individual rooms; well, that confirms it; Ravenclaw house is the best." Moses stated arrogantly, he was trying to tease the two of them.

"Oh shut it," Ron said, annoyed.

After that, they decided that Moses would share a bed with Harry because he's smaller than Ron. They fixed Harry's bed to fit two people and took their sleep, except Moses. While Ron and Harry were asleep, Moses is currently deep in his thoughts.

'Harry said that someone broke into a certain Gringotts vault the day Hagrid took something from that vault. There's a very huge possibility that what Hagrid took is the same as what that monster is currently guarding.' Moses pondered with a serious expression while looking up at the ceiling.

'And, Harry said that Hagrid is fond of magical creatures; the only question is, is he so fond of them that he wants to take care of a monstrous three-headed dog?'

"More questions after another; I won't answer anything right now anyway; I'll ask Wednesday tomorrow, based on her personality, I'm sure she already visited that corridor." Moses muttered as he changed his position and lay down with his head dug into a pillow. He took a deep breath as he slowly closed his eyes and entered a deep sleep.

Hogwarts, Third Floor Corridor, September 19th, 1991

It was a clear, breezy day, and the grass rippled under our feet as we marched down the sloping lawns toward a smooth, flat lawn on the opposite side of the grounds to the forbidden forest, whose trees were swaying darkly in the distance.

"Psst, Wednesday." I called out to her—it's our flying lesson right now with Hufflepuff. We're currently on Hogwarts grounds, waiting for Madam Hooch, the professor responsible for teaching us how to fly a broom.

"What is it?" Wednesday inquired, her voice emotionless as usual. Even though it's sunny, for some reason, a small shadow of a cloud was protecting her from the sun, thereby creating a perfect cover.

"Did you visit the third floor corridor?" I asked, and as soon as I questioned that to her, her eyes widened for a little bit, which only confirmed my suspicion.

"I knew it. The Headmaster's warning from before tempted you, huh?" I uttered with a boisterous laugh, teasing her.

"Shut up before I cut your carotid artery." She threatened me while raising one of her hands that was holding a kitchen bread knife that she took from somewhere.

"Jeez, fine, fine~, no need to be so serious. So...you went there, right?" I asked her in a whisper.

"Yes, I did." She answered,

"Did you see that big monste—"

"Hellhounds. It's a hellhound. Hellhounds, or three-headed dogs, are common in Greek and Roman mythology, with Cerberus, the Underworld's Guardian, being the most well-known of them. The wizarding world classified its danger level as XXXX."

"Hellhounds? There were more magical creatures? But Luna never mentioned anything about any Cerberus to me..." I uttered while in thought.

"Luna?"

"Nothing, just my childhood friend. So, what do you think it's guarding?"

"I don't know yet, but I'm currently under investigation right now." Wednesday spoke solemnly.

"Ohh~Investigation? Count me in!"

"No, you'll just be a nuisance in my investigation."

"Aww~ Don't be like that, Besides, you owe me three things, right?"

"Tsk."

Before Wednesday could reply, our teacher, Madam Hooch, arrived. She had short, gray hair, and yellow eyes like a hawk.

"Well, what are you all waiting for?" She barked as she continued,

"Everyone stand by a broomstick. Come on, hurry up."

--------------------------

And so, Moses started their flying class.

It was boring for him because he was already used to flying without the use of a broom. His highest speed of flight can even break the sound barrier, which he seriously enjoyed doing due to how cool it was. So for him, the flying class with a broom is only average. He did, however, achieve flight faster than the others, though only for a miniscule amount; he couldn't get any faster because of the shitty broomstick, so there's that.

"I'll tell you about my investigation once I've gathered enough substantial evidence. What else do you want? I still owe you two debts. Once I've repaid you, I'd prefer if you stay away from me."

"That's..." Moses was speechless. He thought that he was slowly but surely penetrating in this girl's life, but it looks like he was wrong.

"Sure! That's a promise." Moses replied with a smile, contrary to what he was supposed to feel.

'I guess you'll owe me forever, Wednesday.' Moses thought mischievously while looking at Wednesday's lifeless eyes.

"Now, what else do you want?"

"Oh! Right, y'know Draco Malfoy, right?"

"No."

"Wha-The platinum-blonde boy?"

"..."

"Nothing? The boy with the always sneering face?"

"Ah...yes, I do indeed know him, what about him?"

"Well, I want you to prank him, torture him mentally, and traumatize him to the point that he will not think of anything funny with Harry and the other Gryffindors." Moses muttered while clasping both of his hands, like he was creating some sort of nefarious plan. He turned around and was supposed to say to Wednesday that he was just joking around, but when he saw that she had already disappeared, his eyes widened.

"Just kiddi—what the—where did she go?" Moses questioned while scratching the back of his head.

"This—Do I need to worry about Draco or what?" He uttered nonchalantly as he made his way inside the Hogwarts Castle.

'Nah, he will be fine...maybe?'

He was walking through the grassy plains of Hogwarts when he noticed a circular golden object buzzing beside him.

"What the—Bug?" He uttered while squinting his eyes at the small golden ball that was floating quite fast. With a quick swift of movement, the whizzing ball fell directly into his palm.

"What the hell is this?" Moses said while looking at the golden ball that he was holding. It's moving forcefully in his hands, trying to get away, however, Moses has quite a tight hold on it.

"Moses!" a voice yelled behind him, causing him to turn around.

"Harry?"

"What are you doing here? Oh! That's the snitch! I was trying to catch it."

"Oh, is this yours? It was whizzing passed me, I thought it was annoying so I stopped it, here..." He explained as he handed the snitch to Harry.

"And I was on my way to the library, actually; I just came from the flying lesson, which was kinda boring to be honest. What about you? What are you doing here, and why are you holding a bat? Oh!—" He said to Harry, but before he could finish his sentence, he suddenly remembered something that made him stop.

"You aren't here to kill me by any chance, did you? Because I farted earlier in your face while you were sleeping?" Moses question while giggling,

"You farted in my—Hey! Don't you dare run away, Moses!"

"HAHAHAHAHA!"
