Chapter 9: Skyfall

"What would you be doing? Would you sing or dance?"

Irene smiled hearing this as she remembered that she can't dance. She's horrible at it and although they can buy the dance skill in the system shop, they couldn't be bothered to do it for now because they have priorities.

"I will be singing an original piece of mine."

As soon as she said that she heard a voice break out in laughter. Knowing who it was, she popped a vein on her forehead as she tried to reign in her anger and embarrassment.

'Out of sight, out of mind. Out of sight, out of mind...'

She chanted this mantra in her mind to calm down, then took a deep breath and looked straight into the eyes of her audience.

Suddenly, Irene's aura drastically changed and she seemed to have entered some sort of state of mind.

Kerori and Mar-san waited with anticipation as soon as they saw her aura change, making them expect something from her unbeknownst to them.

"This is the end. Hold your breath and count to ten ~."

As soon as she started singing, her voice made them feel the hairs on their body stand on end.

"So overdue, I owe them. Swept away, I'm stolen~"

Her voice continued to climb higher as both Kerori and Mar-san soon felt goosebumps on their body with what came next. Along with the music of the violin in Irene's arms, her song seemed to have manifested something.

Hearing her voice, both of them can't help but visualize a crumbling netherworld where in all of the sky islands fell down... but they saw a Irene holding their hand looking at them with a gentle smile.

Irene's voice began to get higher again, then with a sudden stop, she sung the chorus for the last time.

As soon as she stopped, she took a deep breath and looked at Mar-san and Kerori's dumbfounded faces. Then she asked them with a smile.

"How is it?"

This question put both of them out of their stupor and they couldn't help but clap. Mar-san immediately said her opinions gleefully.

"That was great! Phenomenal even! Did you have any experience in Meimei-sama's Theater Troupe... No you would've been well know if that's the case."

Irene smiled and replied to her question, "Indeed, I haven't been to any theater troupes or evidol agencies."

Mar-san couldn't help but nod to herself, the performance she showed earlier was spectacular. So much so that it made them see a vision without her using magic. Her voice is that of a Diva.

"If your voice is like this, why haven't you went to Meimei-sama's Dande Group or Amduscias-sama's Delkira Agency?"

(A/N: This is an AU and yes I made it so Amducias had a group of musicians he trained to perform orchestras. More about them in the future.)

"Well... let's just say that they can't satisfy me, just like how you too can't. And Amduscias-sama prefers men."

Irene and Vincent already talked about the fastest way to earn RP. And based on their capabilities, they decided that Irene being an evidol and Vincent making novels and paintings would be the most suitable for them.

By taking advantage of their reincarnator status, they can write stories and sing unique music from Earth. Evidols also has a larger range and reach, not like Theater plays and orchestras which are only typically attended by noble demons and rarely by lower ranked demons.

Kerori grinned as she heard her words. This person... is strong. That is what she is currently thinking. And this made her removed her anti-detection glasses and look straight at her with a dazzling smile.

"I look forward to working with you, Irene-san."

After saying this, Kuromu-chan proceeded to leave the place leaving Irene alone with Mar-san. Irene then looked at Mar-san and asked.

"So does that mean that I passed?"

Mar-san adjusted her glasses and said yes. After that, she told Irene that they should meet at a later date as the audition is still ongoing. She will just call her after this audition is done.

Irene nodded and then proceeded to vanish just as suddenly as she appeared, making Mar-san shake her head at how a member of the Purson family showed up here.

Unknowingly, Irene set up a misunderstanding in Mar-san's mind. She can't blame Mar-san though, as her negator ability is indeed a bit similar to Purson family's bloodline magic.

"Pffft- original indeed. Bwahahaha!"

As soon as they left the place, Vincent bursted out in laughter making Irene extremely irritated. In response to him Irene just rolled her eyes sarcastically.

"Like you weren't planning to plagiarize some storied too. Also, what else could I have said?"

Vincent wiped the tears in his eyes and stopped laughing, "Well you have a point. Anyway, what song are you planning to use on your debut."

"Hmm, I do have some idea on which one I'll sing but... I'll decide after our meeting with Mar-san."

Vincent shrugged and just left this matter to her. He trusts her because she is him, of course her ideas would be phenomenal. Then he seemed to have remembered something and said to Irene.

"Oh right I almost forgot, I'll go to school in your stead tomorrow."

Irene was shocked and surprised when she heard this. She couldn't help but turn to him and ask him.

"Why? You never even thought of doing that even once... And also you'll just vanish because you ARE Vincent, not a soul fragment or avatar."

"...right. But, I had bought an item from the shop that can solve that."

"You used RP?! I thought you were saving up for that [ Hive Mind ] skill!"

Vincent sighed and looked down, "I can't bear it anymore. Besides, with you becoming an evidol, the time when I would finally be free of this curse will be nearer. I know you can do it, because you're me."

She then saw Vincent look at her with a faint smile full of confidence. This made her grin and nod at his words in agreement.
