9 Chapter 7: Rimuru-san?

"SILENCE. My name is Naberius Kalego and I will be in charge of this event."

I looked at Kalego-sensei from afar outside of everyone's senses. Before I am called for my turn, I will just stay here hidden and watch the show.

Funnily enough, there was also someone with the same intentions as me. I gained a faint smile on my lips as I glanced at the unnoticeable Pixie standing near Iruma and Asmodeus Alice.

She then saw Pixie shiver slightly under her gaze and cautiously looked around him with a narrowed gaze. This reaction of his made her release a faint chuckle of amusement.

Kalego-sensei then took out a cute cheerful looking instruction of how to contract familiar, which he threw away immediately in irritation making students sweat drop.

"Stupid guide," Kalego-sensei clicked his tongue and took out a parchment with some symbol on it, "I already drawn my demonic symbol on this parchment. If there are some 'aliens' that mingle in our society we will recognize them right away."

This sentence made Iruma have cold sweat as he grew increasingly nervous.

"Sensei, are familiars dangerous?"

Kalego looked at the student and said, "What a silly question. Familiars are the servant that always serves the summoner. If familiars lay a hand on their summoners..."

Kalego then pointed his finger on the guide that the principal provided and fired a magic beam at it.

*Crack*

"...punishment will befall them. The degree of punishment will depend on their blood contract with the summoner. Pay attention to my words."

Kalego said in a low voice as he looked towards Iruma and continued, "Especially you."

Soon the familiar summoning started and the young demons summoned their own familiars. Everyone's familiars are varied and different from each other. There are blood crows, three eyed mole and some other types of demon beasts.

Meanwhile, Asmodeus Alice summoned his own familiar. An outstanding Gorgon Snake fitting his bloodline.

"As expected of Asmodeus Alice... Next! Irene Enderion. Please come her—"

But before he finished speaking, he suddenly felt a chill down his neck making him jump backwards cautiously. He then looked at his former position and saw no one, but he knows who that was.

"Enderion Irene this is not a joke. Go summon your familiar and let's get this over with. There are others waiting."

"Can't you take a joke sensei. Your reaction was quite cute though."

After the emergence of the voice, her figure followed. Irene covered her mouth and chuckled bemusedly thinking that this was indeed quite fun.

Kalego's face darkened as he sternly stared at Irene whilst thinking, ("I didn't even notice her. Her bloodline magic is as strong as a Tet Rank demon.")

"I don't have time to play with you, Enderion. Go and summon your familiar."

Hearing this, Irene pouted jokingly and pretended to be a bit sad, "Boo, what a killjoy."

But when Irene saw that Kalego-sensei's face grew increasingly dark, she shrugged and chuckled before activating the summoning parchment with Kalego's demon symbol.

As soon as she activated the parchment, dark foggy and seemingly liquid ooze came out of the summoning circle astounding both the audience and Kalego-sensei.

("This aura... Its on par with the Gorgon Snake or maybe even stronger. What a surprise")

However as soon as the black ooze cleared, they were dumbfounded.

What came out of the summoning circle is not a large awesome demon beast that they know of. Instead what came out was the renowned weakest demon beast in the Netherworld, a slime.

Seeing her summoned familiar, other demons jeered and ridiculed her. She was being arrogant earlier but now she was slapped by reality that she was insignificant, that's what the other demons thought as they laughed at her.

While others expressed disappointment and ridiculed her, Irene meanwhile smiled bemusedly as she looked at the slime's overall appearance which she found quite familiar.

She then thought that she maybe summoned that overpowered slime. But as soon as she thought of this assumption, she immediately dismissed it. This is the netherworld and also a different universe from the Tensura Multiverse.

Irene then looked at Kalego-sensei and smiled as she asked him, "So how was my final rank sensei."

"You'll know the day after tomorrow. Next."

As soon as she heard him, Irene just smiled and carried the slime on her arms and used her negator ability to vanish from their sights along with the slime on her arms.

She already knew that she will only get her ranking after the flying race. She just asked for the sake of asking, nothing more than that.

Meanwhile, an unnoticeable Pixie looked at her vanishing figure with interest. He planned to ask his father if there's someone else from the Purson clan from the branch family who attended this school.

The familiar summoning continued and soon it was Iruma's turn. Everything happened the same as the manga and Iruma summoned Kalego-sensei. Seeing his half body peeking out of the summoning circle, Irene can't help but laugh to herself.

She then saw Iruma push Kalego's lower half up the summoning circle by mistake, making him fully enter the summoning circle and turning him into a cute fat chubby demon bird.

Kalego was extremely angry now and tried to use Cerberus to slap Iruma, but sensing his hostility to Iruma, the contract punished him by striking him with lightning. This scene made the other students flinch, except Irene.

Irene placed the slime on her shoulder and ran forward to where Kalego slumped after being injured by the lightning.

As soon as she appeared in sight of the other demons, they gasped in surprise as they saw her pick up Kalego-sensei and squish him like a plushie.

"You're so cute now, Kalego-sensei. Or should I call you Eggy-chan. Fufufu~"

Eggy-chan trembled, not in fear but in rage. Kalego can't move properly and was a bit paralyzed due to the lightning earlier. If he could move he would have smashed Irene multiple times into a pulp.

Irene continued to massage his cheeks but this didn't last long. Soon she let go of him and right on that moment Kalego's Cerberus materialized and slapped its paw forward. But what it got was only thing air and nothing more.

"I'll play with you next time, Eggy-chan."

Kalego's face darkened and he angrily asked Iruma to undo the summoning.

Meanwhile, Irene got out of the hall and went to walk around. Soon she found a bench in a good spot overlooking the unique trees of the netherworld.

She then placed her slime familiar beside her as she sat down.

"Hmm... I don't know how slimes work here but I know a slime who achieved the pinnacle so why can't you?"

Irene smiled faintly and picked up the slime before putting it on her lap.

"I'll make you stronk nya."

In response to her words, the cute little slime bounced up and down in excitement making her chuckle faintly. Then, she held the slime on her arms as she made her way home... to tell the main body about what happened today.

". . ."

"Hmm... Enderion's result was quite unexpected. Along with her personality based on what she showed so far, I guess I'll include her to *that* class."

On the table was forms of peculiar demons... and included here was Irene's near blank form only containing her name and age.
