~Ryu POV~

I have no idea when was the last time I had a proper bath.

It's not that I never had one since I was alone, but I would never really have a proper bath; the only time my body would be clean was when it was raining.

And if you ask me, will I ever take a bath, I would say no because it was something that I don't like.

If someone asks me, will I ever have a chance to take a bath in a castle belonging to Bram Stoker himself, I would say you are high on drugs and end the conversation right there.

But here I am, taking a bath inside a castle belonging to Bram stoker, a vampire, and the person who lives with him is a doctor named Mary Shelley.

Now when I think about it, these situations are pretty ridiculous.

But then again, I never really like taking a shower or bath.

I never really like taking a bath because I need to take my clothes off to take a proper bath. This would leave me vulnerable because I cannot activate Rashomon without my clothes. So I never really like taking a bath; I would only take a bath or shower when I fully feel safe.

Sinking back into the water, I let thought leave my mind.

The shower room I am in is just one big bath in the middle of the room, filled with warm water that seems to be coming from somewhere.

I look back at my new pair of arms, and they look like the same arms I have before except for the fact that I have very sharp nails.

I did try to test how strong these nails are by scratching them against the stone wall of the castle, and when the woman said these arms would give me enhanced strength, she was not lying.

I could leave a scratch mark on the castle wall without putting any effort into it.

But that also gives me a question, just how powerful is Bram?

Mary said that Bram's most dangerous trait is turning other people into a ghoul. She did say that these ghouls have the same strength and weaknesses as Bram, and Bram can also control these ghouls with his mind.

That means that Bram can create his army full of ghouls that he can control with his mind. Not to mention the fact that what would happen if these V-cells was too infected with other people that are also mutant?

What would happen if the virus infected another mutant?

Will those ghouls be able to use their mutant power still even though they were transformed into mindless ghouls?

What if he infected a person with psychic power? Will these psychics still be able to use their influence that relies on their brain, even though they are back to their base instinct?

And then there is also a question about, can you turn a ghoul back into a human?

Can people make a cure to turn ghouls into humans?

I still have many questions about Bram power that I want to find out.

The reason for this is because, Bram power, with the proper planning and execution, Bram would probably have the ability to conquer or destroy the whole world.

Speaking of Bram, after he led me to this room, he left saying that he would go and get me new clothes.

Letting a sigh escape my lips, I start to think about what kind of thing that Mary wanted me to do.

We are in the middle of the forest in the centre of nowhere, so what is the thing she wants me to do for her.

There are so many things I don't know about this place or Bram and Mary.

I know Bram and Mary's basic power, but I do not know their actual limit.

Bram power has the potential to take over the world, while Mary power seems to be very basic at the surface.

From what I observed, Mary power seems to be something along the line of electricity manipulation, and she seems to have mastered it to the point where she can turn off the pain receptor on people brains.

What else can she do? The fact that she has the power to turn off people pain receptors can also mean she can maybe enhance the pain receptor to make you feel more pain, it's an assumption, but it's not impossible.

What can electricity truly do with its full potential? I have no idea.

"Young one, I will leave your clothes outside the room." The raspy voice of Bram came out from outside the room.

Finally, I can get out of this bath.

Moving toward the doors, I step outside the bathroom and see that Bram is not there anymore. Cleaning myself with a towel, I see the new clothes that Bram brings for me, and it looks like it is the same thing that he wears except smaller to fit me.

I quickly get dressed and look at the mirror nearby.

Looking at my reflection, I am now wearing a black long-sleeved shirt with a long, black coat reaching past my knees over black fitting pants and black dress shoes.

Why is it all black? Don't he have any other clothes that don't have the coloured black? Now I look like I'm a goth.

After checking out my appearance, I walk outside toward the hallway and make my way toward the dining room that Mary is waiting for me.

It took me a few minutes of walking to finally arrive at the dining room, only seeing a Mary seem to be still reading the same book from before. Inside the room, I did not see Bram anywhere inside the room, but then again, I'm talking about Bram. With the bit of time I spend with Bram, I know that Bram can appear and disappear without you even noticing it.

"Oh, you finish, that good and what with your style? Are you turning into one of the goth kids now?"

"It's Bram clothes."

"Well, no surprise there. He sure loves his colour black." Mary said, placing the book down before standing up and walking out of the room silently, asking me to follow her.

"You probably want to ask me what I want you to do, right?"

I simply nodded as an answer. Mary then smiles before answering.

"You see, I want you to go get something for me. It's a final piece I need for my project."

So she wants me to be an errand boy for her? She should be able to do it herself, so why does she want my help?

"What is the thing you want me to get? I doubt it would be something easy to get considering you didn't try to get it yourself."

"Correct. I would usually let Bram collect all the material I need, but since he needs to find food right now, he can't really do it without alerting other people around the area due to his hunger. If his desire acts up, it might cause more trouble than it is worth.

Besides, with Bram's hunger, he might not do the job correctly. As for why I don't do it myself? Well, I certainly can, but it would take too long. So from what I see with your power, it will be a perfect tool for this job, making you the ideal for this job."

"So what do you want me to get? And where can I get it?" I ask her, causing Mary smile to turn a little bit... crazy.

"At the north, 30 minutes walk from here, and there is a small town. That is the location. As for what I want you to get for me... well, to put it simply, I want blood, a lot of blood. It doesn't matter who blood it is. As long as you gather me enough blood, it would be good enough."

"Wait... Are you telling me to kill all those people in the town?"

Not that I have a problem with it.

"Oh god, no. Where can I find my new guinea pig for my new experiment if you do that? Don't be stupid.

You see, that town is a place where Bram would usually capture, go and hunt for food while also taking some of them so I can do some experiments with them. Killing all of them would be very bad for us.

The people, of course, know about the killing and the capture; they simply don't know who did it. They did speculate that the person who lived in this castle was the person who was responsible for it, but the moment they knew I lived here, they dropped that idea that immediately.

That is another reason I don't want to do it myself; if I somehow leave any evidence, it might lead to here, which would be very troublesome."

Finally, we arrive at the basement where Mary seems to get something before pulling out what appears to be a massive water can that has a square shape. That is around 3 feet in height and around 1 foot in length and width.

To put it bluntly, it is a massive water can.

"I want you to store as much as possible inside this water can. No flesh or bone."

"You expect me to carry this to the town and carry it back while it is full of blood without getting caught or tired?"

"Please, with your new pairs of arms or even your power, lifting this can full of blood would be a walk in the park; as for you not being caught, it really not my fucking problem."

I guess that answer my questions.

Rashomon appears from my clothes and turns into a hand's shape before grabbing hold of the water can.

"Fine." I said quietly.

"Good. Also, before you go, I must warn you about something. If you come across the guy with a scar on his left eye, on the street of that town, don't do anything to him. If you see him, just tell him that you are being sent to do my job."

"Ho? What his name?" I ask before leaving the room.

"His name is Guy Endore."

A/N

Well, it's been a long time. I have no excuse on why I didn't update except for the fact that I just got lazy after finishing my university work so I just want to take a break.

Now I'm back so there's that.

When will the new chapter come out? Well, I don't know myself, so you just have to wait.

Ciao~
