Beyonder type threat

On a cold night in New York, three people, two men and a woman, walk the sidewalks patrolling. One man wears a blue suit with white gloves, boots, and mask; a woman wears a green suit, a green tiara, and green hair; and another man wears a black suit with a black hood and silver armor and mask with engravings and parts with white lights.

"I'm just saying, in the last battle of the X-Men against the Brotherhood, it was impossible for both Professor X and Magneto to die without Cyclop's interference." said the man in the blue suit.

"That happened over a hundred years ago, Gill, when are you going to stop thinking about it?" said the woman in the green suit.

"And your race wasn't even involved, why are you so interested in the X-Men? I've known you for five years, and every chance you get, you start talking about them." said the man in the black suit.

"It's because the battles of the X-Men back then were balanced, while the Inhumans' always had one side much superior to the other. Seriously, who in their right mind would fight against the black bo..."

Before he could finish his sentence, the three abruptly stopped.

"Did you felt that?" asked the man in the black suit.

"Yes, it felt like something was passing through me." said Gill.

"That was a pulse of energy." said the woman in the green suit.

The noise of the city echoing through the buildings of the city that never sleeps remained unchanged, but now all three felt that something was wrong and looked around for its source.

"Lorna, raise the threat level in this area to attention." said the man in the black suit.

As they walked cautiously, ready for an attack at any moment, they stopped abruptly again because they felt something passing through them again.

"Did you manage to identify where it came from?" asked the man in the black suit.

"Yes, it came from that building." said Lorna, pointing to a seemingly abandoned building with the top floor destroyed.

"Lorna, raise the threat level to imminent. Gill, activate the evacuation alert for an area within a one-kilometer radius of that building. I'll call the Unknown Threat Response Team." said the man in the black suit.

The three were apprehensive, watching the building while civilians moved away from the area. During the time it took for all civilians to be completely out of the evacuation area, the frequency at which they felt the pulse of energy increased.

"The pulses are increasing. It means it's still accumulating energy. We better take a look at what it is before it explodes." said Lorna.

"I agree. The response team is taking too long; they may not arrive in time." said Gill.

"I concur. I'll approach. Blizzard, you stay on standby in case containment is necessary for whatever is causing these energy pulses. Polaris, be ready in case containment is not possible; I need you to send whatever is causing these pulses far away. Throw it up; it's better to lose some satellites than our lives."

They prepared for whatever might be inside the building as if preparing for combat, and soon a green light emanated from Polaris's hands, and mist emanated from Blizzard's hands.

"Let's go."

They entered the building cautiously, even though the source of the energy pulses was on the third floor, there could still be traps or hostile enemies inside the building.

When they reached the third floor, they stopped a little before entering the floor and looked at each other with nods that, after two years of partnership and all the knowledge they had of each other, generated teamwork necessary to deal with any situation masterfully, complementing each other in skills and acting styles.

As soon as they set foot on the floor, what they saw was a child kneeling, dirty, with clenched fists, clearly in pain, with white lights seeming like cracks around them. With each pulse of energy, more white light emanated from the child, and more cracks of light appeared and existing ones grew larger.

"It's just a child." said Polaris.

"It must be a premature or newly awakening metahuman. It can't be a neohuman; there's no Terrigenesis cocoon nearby." said Blizzard.

"Child, are you okay?" said the man in the black suit.

"Stay away, I can't control it, I d-d-don't want to hurt anyone." replied the child, almost in tears.

"It's okay, we're here to help." said Lorna as she slowly approached the child.

While Lorna approached, the other two remained still not to scare the child.

The cracks of white light spread everywhere, and the man in the black suit watched. When a crack touched the wooden floor, a white light engulfed the area, and when the light dispersed, there was grass in that area of the floor.

'Grass? Is this child's power plant-based?' thought the man in the black suit.

But then he noticed another crack touching the stone wall, and after the light dispersed, there was a black stone resembling glass in the area touched by the light.

'Grass and stone, could her ability be matter transmutation?' thought the man in the black suit.

Meanwhile, Lorna was getting closer and closer to the child.

The cracks continued to change any material they touched, but now the cracks were also dissipating in the air, and the affected area in the air was turning into water, and instead of falling to the ground, the water flowed to the ceiling, pieces of glass floated, and a kind of powder orbited the child.

'Something's strange; the level of influence in the environment seems to be escalating,' thought the man in the black suit.

When the situation changed, Lorna stopped trying to approach the child and began to observe the changes occurring around her.

Suddenly, the pulses stopped, and the energy emanating from the child now began to affect the ground on which they were kneeling. The cracks disappeared, and an almost transparent dome of white light formed around the child. Each area touched by the dome changed; the wooden floor was becoming an area of low grass like a park, with small points of white light in the air like small stars inside the dome.

Subtle, low noises could be heard.

'Damn it, the child isn't changing materials; she's altering reality itself.' thought the man in the black suit.

"Lorna, get back! He's a Beyonder type."

Before she could move away, the cracks of light reformed around the dome, but this time they were larger, over two meters, advancing to the rest of the floor, and one of them headed towards Lorna.

Lorna tried to escape, but the crack of light was faster than her, so she couldn't get away. The distance between Lorna and the crack of light was only decreasing, and it would soon reach her.

'Damn it, she won't make it.' Was the man in the black suit's last thought before rushing to rescue Polaris.

A normal human wouldn't be able to reach Lorna in time, but the man in the black suit was an enhanced human with the Protector serum, which was an invention used to enable humans to deal with threats such as people with superpowers, meta-humans, human-x, or aliens. Therefore, he managed to reach and pull Lorna, throwing her into the staircase from where they came, but now the crack of white light was heading towards him, due to the speed of his movement he couldn't stop in time, and when the white light touched him, he disappeared.
