New Life, Why The ---- is the past like this

It's absolutely amazing what I'm witnessing right now. The trees are beautiful, and the environment seems almost ethereal compared to my last life. This could also just be me adjusting to the environment considering the humans don't exist at the moment, so the atmosphere and other things aren't proper for me. Also, It's extremely hot out, like really hot. It's starting to cool down though pretty quickly. Oh wait, never mind it's just the gift I have taking affect. Adaptability at its finest and I also like that I can stay calm.

The really weird thing is being able to understand each trait and ability of some sort that each living organism around me has. There is like a shit ton of stuff around me. I'm positive that I can copy or absorb almost anything that is living which is really amazing.

Okay well I can't sit here any longer because I need to get stronger if I want to live for the next 250 million years or so.

I stand up and start looking at all the traits and such that I can take and quite a few sticks out to me.

The list of traits and abilities that I noticed includes Hibernation, Desiccation resistance, Radiation resistance, Longevity, Sunlight Converter, Root Growth, Size growth, Hardened Exterior, Biological material assimilation and a few other odd ones.
