->Flash POV<-< p>

Flash leaned against his seat as two of his hands held the back of his nape, a minuscule cloud of humid air left through his mouth as he and the rest of the class looked toward the chalkboard.

A redheaded teenage girl with striking emerald green eyes stood in front, her hands behind her back as she faced the entire class with what seemed to be slight nervousness hidden underneath a mask of confidence.

"Alright, class. This here is our new student who moved all the way from Georgia..." Mr Wilson said with a warm smile as he leaned slightly against his desk.

"...Would you be so kind to introduce yourself?" He said, abstaining from revealing her name so that she could do it herself.

"Yes!" The ginger beamed as she glanced at the rest of the class. She seemed rather enthusiastic, weirdly so, as if she was meeting a group of renowned celebrities instead of some stinky teenagers.

"My name is Mary Jane Watson...Just call me MJ if that's too long..." She started as the rest of the class listened intently, seemingly enraptured, mostly the boys.

"I'm from Savannah, Georgia...um, you would know that, of course." She glanced at the teacher, who chuckled in response.

"I was actually born here in Queens, so it's a homecoming for me!" Mary Jane said with a smile as her green eyes scanned the class.

"I want to be an actor when I grow up...and I'm most passionate about working toward that goal! Followed by having fun, of course..." Damn, she's already reciting a script! What a prodigious talent, Flash was shaking in his boots as he beheld this Hollywood Visionary...

Mary Jane's eyes wandered over the class, briefly pausing when she caught Flash's gaze, only to speak up again as if nothing happened.

"And I hope I can be friends with everyone!" She said in a cheery tone, looking particularly in a certain group's direction, the PSL trio, which the current sole female member waved back with a genuine smile on her face.

Huh, so she's already friends with Gwen before this? Maybe an old childhood friend, she did say she was born here in Queens—Flash analyzed like the Sherlock Thompson that he is.

After that, she paused for a few seconds before looking toward the teacher, signalling that she didn't know what else to say about herself.

No one would blame her though, this tradition that teachers had of asking their brand-new students to introduce themselves was something that was universally disliked by the teenage population.

"Well...any questions for Watson?" Mr Wilson said as he glanced at the students, which some responded by raising their hands.

Flash zoned out at that point as he paid little attention to the trivial questions about the new girl's backstory and whatnot.

'Shit...God has his favourites, huh?' He muttered internally as he passed a glance over the redhead. She looked like an actual damn supermodel...

'And another MJ too? Uh, hope this one isn't as annoying as the other one...' Flash contemplated as the image of another girl from his class appeared in his mind, Milly Joan or something...he honestly forgot, everyone always calls her by that 'MJ' nickname.

'Although...' Flash narrowed his eyes as he appraised the redhead a little closer...

'Why does it feel like I've seen her before? Huh...' Mary Jane's face was a tad bit too familiar, especially those green eyes of hers...

Nah, probably just saw her face on some Feetbook post—no he had passed by her before, she was Georgian, after all, and he had never gone to Georgia in his entire life!

Eventually, the chit-chat Flash had disregarded settled as Mary Jane took a few steps, heading to her new seat...

Which was right in front of Peter's, of course.

Flash silently muttered a forsaken curse toward the Parker bloodline as he gazed at the damn guy who didn't even bat an eyelid after MJ sat in front of him, choosing to admire the opened textbook on his table instead.

'All of your luck must have gone to that department, huh? Fucking bastard...' Although Flash thought so, he didn't have any form of jealousy toward the Parker boy, when it comes to luck that is.

Peter certainly didn't have many fortunes besides somehow attracting hotshot girls in his life, that much was obvious.

As MJ settled on her seat and began socializing with her surrounding classmates, the guy behind her looked up from his textbook only to glance sideways.

Meeting's Flash silent glare.

'Um...' Flash looked away, now finding the green chalkboard to be even more beautiful than Santa's wife.

'Fuck is he on...don't tell me he switched his Job Class from Nerd to School Shooter...' If that was the case, then maybe Flash should feel some fear, he would probably be one of the top names in that list, after all.

Peter blinked silently, looking a bit confused as Flash avoided his gaze. He felt a tiny tingle and decided to take a look, but it turned out to be this guy...

He looked on without words for a few more seconds before returning his attention to the textbook he held in his hand.

'Uh...' Flash sighed as he no longer felt like being watched by some kind of Arachnid monster.

He glanced at Peter's back for a brief moment before looking away, this guy became unexpectedly menacing after his Aunt got shot.

The old Peter Parker was a social wimp, the epitome of an awkward teenager, though his reputation never went below a certain threshold due to his unquestionable intellect.

But the new Peter Parker looked like a very different archetype, not really a 'quiet kid' or a 'depressed loser', but more akin to someone who's silently fighting the demons in his head.

Character development? Heh, Flash was impressed if that was the case. Maybe that damn guy would stop being so ungratefully weak soon...he thought to himself.

The sound of chalk being dragged across the blackboard hung loudly in the air, attracting Flash's attention as he decided to finally pay attention to the teacher's educational sermon.

"Right, so calculating distance is very easy...just multiply the velocity of an object by the time it takes to travel to its destination, Velocity × Time = Distance!"

That's a bit funny.
