Viper

In a different dimension, Max transported Mariko to the Yashida House.

Throughout the journey, Mariko remained silent, seemingly resigned to her fate.

As they entered the mansion, crossed the courtyard, and stood before Yashida's room, Max turned to Mariko.

"Is there anything else you'd like to say?" Max inquired.

Mariko shook her head subtly. "Take care of Yukio for me."

"Very well," Max agreed with a nod, then opened the door.

"Just give me one line, say the mission is complete," Max instructed Mariko.

Mariko hesitated briefly, then exited the room.

In the alternate dimension, Max observed as Mariko gently pushed the door and entered, glancing around.

The security in the house remained tight, casting a dark and oppressive atmosphere over the night.

It felt perilous.

"It seems things are as I suspected. I wonder if Mariko or Shirada Ichiro arranged this," Max mused with a faint smirk. In the next moment, he witnessed shadowy figures emerging from the darkness, clad in black ninja attire and masks.

Silently, the bodyguards were dispatched one by one, their demise swift and silent. A blonde woman then made her way toward Yashida Shangen's room.

"Psst!"

Viper, the woman, used her hand to mute a bodyguard, rendering him soundless before gently easing him to the ground.

The Black Alliance's ninjas gathered behind Viper as she nodded slightly, and the room's door swung open.

"You..."

Shangen's voice echoed within, and the ninjas advanced swiftly. After a brief moment, Mariko's voice rang out as she was escorted out by the ninjas. Despite her appearance of anxiety, her eyes betrayed a sense of composure. It appeared that even if Mariko hadn't orchestrated this, she had at least been aware of it.

Mariko was soon taken away.

The black boots treaded softly on the floor, and Viper, the leader of the Black Alliance, approached Shingen, who was surrounded by ninjas.

With her long golden hair, green coat, and black leather pants, Viper looked at Shingen, a faint smirk on her lips. Slowly, she removed the glove from her left hand.

"It's you?"

"It's me," the Viper said with a smile. "Sorry to interrupt, but I need your daughter to live."

Shingen, taken aback, asked, "Who are you?"

The Viper replied, "Me? A chemist... Capitalist, Mutant." She casually picked up a pen from the desk, opened the cap, and continued, "As I said, Mutant." The Viper then spat venom into the pen, and something strange quickly appeared on the pen's tip – foam.

Without hesitation, the Viper thrust the pen into Shingen's neck, causing him to convulse in pain.

Afterward, the Viper pulled the pen out, rushed out of the room, staggered past Shingen who had fell into the courtyard pool with a thud.

With a triumphant smile, the Viper departed, and the Black Alliance ninjas followed suit.

"It's highly toxic," Max observed throughout the entire ordeal.

Max also had a basic understanding of Viper's strength.

Not long after they left, a black Audi pulled up.

Wolverine and Yukio stepped out of the car.

"Why is it so quiet? Where did the security go?" Yukio sensed something was amiss and quickly discovered the bodies on the ground.

They exchanged glances and rushed inside.

The scene was gruesome, with corpses scattered about.

"Sacred Gate?" Wolverine called out, but there was no response.

As they continued to move forward while assessing their surroundings, Wolverine and Yukio eventually reached Yashida Ichiro's former medical room.

Wolverine recalled the Max's words, "Check your heart."

Staring at the bed where Yashida Ichiro had been, Wolverine remembered that they had used a device here to examine the internal condition of the body when they had arrived. Acting on this memory, Wolverine activated the device and lay on the bed. The scanning instrument began its examination, moving from his feet upward, and Wolverine fixed his gaze on the screen in front of him.

"Logan!"

Yukio called out and approached Wolverine, holding a piece of paper stained with blood that he had found on a security guard's body.

"Come and save her!"

Upon reading the words on the paper, both Wolverine and Yukio realized that it was a plea for help regarding Mariko.
