88 Begone Hydra!

"Sir, we are almost at the location!"

I kept staring at the ocean with my legs hanging out of the helicopter door.

"How long?" I asked.

"Ten minutes approx." The pilot answered.

There are three Hydra bases that are currently active. I had sent Deadpool, James and Moonknight to deal with the secondary base. And sent Joel with Betty, Domino and Bloodstone to the least guarded base.

As for me— I was flying over the main Hydra base, in the middle of the Pacific.

"It's not possible to land, sir! There is water everywhere!" The pilot shouted.

"Oh, you don't have to worry about that."

The base was 250m underwater— clear proof that Hydra had far more advanced technology than the world government. Going that deep in a submarine was one thing and making a habitable base in that depth was another.

"The wind is strong, we have to retreat!"

I shook my head. "You leave, I will be fine."

The pilot was shocked. "Sir, there is no land nearby. Jumping from here is suicidal."

"As I said… leave." I showed the man a smile. "And you don't have to inform anyone about this."

Saying that, I jumped down— darting towards the ocean like a bullet.

As I went inside the water, I figured that I could breathe underwater. But considering all the ridiculous powers I received, this ability wasn't worth mentioning.

I swam towards the base at a speed that was invisible to the human eye and in under a minute— I was right atop the structure.

It was massive and had scanners all over it… and it went without saying that all those alarms went off the moment I appeared near the structure.

I could have done this so much quieter… but I need to test my powers somewhere.

Guns popped from the base's walls and started shooting. But they were as useful as using a fork to drink soup.

I expected to feel at least a tiny bit of impact upon being hit— but that was not the case. I might not have even realised that I was being shot at if not for my super strong senses… The loud gunshots were painful.

Imagining a dial, I managed to lower my hearing sense.

And with the flick of my finger, the guns exploded— opening a massive hole on the base's top.

Water gushed in and using the hole, I entered the base as well.

"Intruder!" One of the guards shouted, drawing the attention of the rest. "Shoot him!"

Didn't they just see me demolishing those bigger guns?

Eh, whatever.

.

.

.

"I need to get a good grasp of my powers…"

Without even realising, I had painted the entire hallway red with the blood of Hydra soldiers.

But I never realised that… humans were so weak.

Is that how Superman or Hulk felt when they first used their powers?

"Y-You monster! Who are you?!?" The last remaining soldier in the hall cried in fear— shooting bullets at me.

I hadn't bothered using my mask. I was in my true form as none of them was going to live to tell the tale.

As the man blinked, I had appeared in front of him.

"Who I am doesn't matter. You won't live to fathom my existence anyways."

Saying that, I thunder-clapped the man into oblivion.

.

.

.

*Ring* *Ring*

"Hello?"

Lennon is a genius. Genetics is not the only thing that man is good at. Using a basic single transmitter as a reference, he had created a phone which could make calls from anywhere within the planet.

"Howdy, bossman."

Ah, yes… Deadpool.

"I wanted to let you know that we have dealt with the neo-Nazis. There were a few valuable things but we have packed them to take to our base." He said.

"Tell me, Deadpool… What did you take." I sighed. "And I mean for yourself."

"Huh?! What do you mean? Little ol' me didn't take a single penny from this shack—"

"He took a few custom guns and bullets."

"Hey!!!!!"

Moonknight said which made Deadpool scream.

"As long as you don't take anything too valuable… It's fine. We will distribute the items later, so don't just take everything you see for yourself, Deadpool." I sighed. "But you did a good job."

"It wasn't too difficult. These guys were weak." Bloodstone said.

"Alright. Check if Betty and crew need any help. Jester out."

With that, I cut the call and walked over the blood towards the control room.

This place was fancy and all these equipment could help the world a lot.

Only if they were the good guys…

But to me these were useless.

I walked inside the control room and found soldiers waiting with guns— ready to welcome me.

"Everyone, shoot!"

*Sigh*

Do they really expect some miracle to happen? Bullets are not going to work on me.

Not bothering with the soldiers, I surveyed the room looking for anything that could be useful.

And I did find something useful.

The control system.

Swatting away the soldiers like flies— I made my way to the control panel.

All it took was a slap to kill a soldier and to make killing spicy at times— I exploded them using my biokinesis.

'System Locked'

The screen of the control panel was locked.

'Retinal Scan Required.'

Heh.

I turned around and found a person wearing a lab coat.

I extended my palm towards the man and smiled.

The soldiers were still shooting at me but I paid them no mind.

As I opened my palm, the man's eyes widened before his right eye shot towards me— leaving a bloody mess of an eye socket.

"*AHHHHH!*"

The man cried in pain and the rest of the soldiers were terrified as well.

I pushed the eyeball over the scanner.

'Scan Complete: System Unlocked.'

Perfect.

"Kill him!"

Alright. I have had enough.

My shadow grew larger and countless spikes appeared from it— piercing and killing all the soldiers within the room.

Now… I can search in peace.

Hydra had no actual leader and they were searching for someone to lead them. So, it was pretty easy to deal with them.

Now, let's find the monolith.

.

.

.

.

.

Pacific… Atlantic… Sahara… and the Himalaya.

They couldn't have found worse places to hide the monoliths.

But does it matter? I only need the coordinates and I can teleport there.

And I have the coordinates.

So, what's stopping me? Honestly… Nothing.

But everything just feels so… unreal.

Just a little over a decade ago… I was stealing, smuggling, robbing and killing to keep myself alive— in an entirely different reality.

And here I was, killing people to survive and help others survive. In a way, nothing much has changed.

Just the severity of my actions and goals have changed.

In my past life, I killed to keep myself and my friends… the very few that I had, alive while also making a name for myself.

And now… I killed to keep me and the people I cared for alive— again while making a name for myself.

If I hadn't made a move, this world might have been destroyed. I removed a lot of future possible threats in their childhood and while many might scoff at me for that— it was a necessary act.

And I will continue to do so to save myself. Now since I had powers— the enemies that I need to deal with will also be on another level.

Thanos, Apocalypse, Kang, Galactus… are just a few on the list.

I am immortal now… kinda. But I would still die if I don't get rid of those threats. So, I need to make plans to clean this world of every universe level threat.

I calmed myself.

"First, I need to contact Joel and then find the monoliths." I looked at the symbol of Hydra. "Hive… you are next."
