58 War of The Gods part 2

Within the land of Japan, there was a meeting occurring to discuss the recent events in Greece.

" Why would you send him there alone? We discussed this; we weren't going to do anything unnecessary. We all agreed to that, Susanoo. So, why did you send Ryujin to his death?" Tsukuyomi. the great god of the moon and brother of Susanoo, asked.

" I misjudged brother. I figured a small attack force with Ryujin at the helm would give us some insight to their military might. I was hoping they would send out one of their lower gods to battle Ryujin. I did not however predict they would send out, Poseidon. It was a critical misjudgment on my part. Forgive me." Susanoo, the Shinto god of the seas, explained to his brother.

" Forget it Tsukuyomi. What's done is done. We need to focus on what we're doing going forward. We mistakenly believed Poseidon, weaker due to the fact he wasn't born a god. We believed rumors and we acted on them, and we paid for that. No more. Going forward we plan everything together, am I clear Susanoo?" Amaterasu, the lady of the sun, asked her younger brother. Her tone making it very clear to the man that she wasn't asking but telling him.

Susanoo nodded and Amaterasu continued.

" We have to be careful with where we do battle. If not, we could accidentally destroy our lands. We need to plan..." Amaterasu spoke. She looked to her brothers and smiled. " I have an idea.

Elsewhere, in the land of Greece, the gods and the citizens of Atlantis are all celebrating their crushing victory over the Shinto.

" YEAAAAAH! That'll teach those Shinto bastards not to take us easy." Ares exclaimed.

" Our first decisive victory, all thanks to Poseidon's efforts. If this continues, we might just win this pathetic excuse for a war in no time at all." Hera stated.

" I must say that was vicious, Poseidon. Where did that come from?" Zeus asked the man.

Poseidon, who had returned to Olympus, had sat next to Hades and Zeus as the gods celebrated his win.

" Yes, I would like to know as well. Where did this mean streak come from?" Hades asked in amusement.

" In times of war, all niceties must be dealt away with, to properly handle the enemy. " Poseidon replied.

" Agreed." Zeus roared.

" Fair enough. But with one of their own dead already, the Shinto are sure to recover and strike back hard. What should we do next?" Hades asked.

" Simple, we crush them with all of our might. There's nothing else we need do." Zeus stated.

" Not true. We need to find a better battleground for our battles. Fighting in the mortal realm brings the chance of sinking the world." Poseidon explained.

" But where would we go?" Hades asked.

" It's simple. We need to put our foots down." Poseidon stated.

All for the gods of Olympus turned towards him and began listening as he started explaining his plans.

" We need to end this as fast as possible. And there's only one way to effectively do that. We march to Japan!" Poseidon exclaimed. " All of us. We invade their celestial realm and fight them in their own home. We take the battle to the Shinto."

" Are you sure that is wise? What if they decide to do the same and attack Greece while we are away?" Athena asked the man.

" It is a possibility. We do not all go then. Hades and myself can go while the rest of you stay behind to ensure our home is safe. With our power combined we should be more than enough to send the same message." Poseidon told the woman. He had reworked his plan in a way that would allow the Greek Gods to both defend their home and deliver another crushing blow to the Shinto.

" Hmm? Let's put it to a vote. All in agreement?" Zeus stated.

" AYE!" A unified agreement amongst the gods gave Zeus his answer.

" Very well, we'll leave this matter to you and Hades. Make sure you let them know who the real gods are." Zeus said to Hades and Poseidon both.

" Lord Zeus!" Hermes rushed into the room with blood leaking from his head.

" Hermes! What has happened." Zeus asked.

" I came to deliver a message. Amatsu-Mikaboshi, Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and Susanoo are here seeking your presence. But that is not all, Odin and The Norse, Ra and the Egyptians, Shiva and the Hindu have all gathered together. They are calling for a council meeting." Hermes explained.

" I see." Zeus rubbed his face and sighed. " At a time like this. No doubt the Shinto are responsible for this. Very well. Poseidon, hades, let's go! Athena you and Ares are in charge of defending Greece while we're in session. No doubt the Shinto are up to something." Zeus explained.

Zeus, Poseidon and hades all rose from their seats and vanished with a flash of lightning, fire, and water.

And instantaneously they all reappeared in the grand hall of Olympus.

Greeting them were gods from other pantheons. From the Norse, came Odin, his sons Loki and Thor. From Egypt Osiris, Ra, and Anubis. And from the Hindu Pantheon, came Shiva, Vishnu, and Indra.

And of course, from the Shinto, came Amatsu-Mikaboshi, Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and Susanoo.

" Odin, Ra, Shiva. What are you all doing here?" Zeus asked.

" We're here to make sure you and the Shinto don't end up destroying Midgard, Zeus." Odin told the man.

" Since when do you care about Earth, Odin? You and your Asgardians have been locked away of Asgard for years. And now all of a sudden you want to interfere in earthly problems? I find it funny that the moment the Shinto attack us, you and the others all of a sudden want to band together against us." Zeus spoke.

" You would be wise to watch your tongue, Zeus." Ra told the man.

" And since when does a god from another pantheon think he can come to our home and tell us what to do?" Hades asked the mighty Ra. " You may be nearly unbeatable in your place of power, Ra. But we aren't in Egypt, are we? We're in Olympus, and here." Hades spoke, he suddenly started applying his pressure to the other gods and the tension in the room rose. " We have the power." Hades explained to the man.

" Maybe so, but do you think the three of you can beat all of us?" Shiva asked.

" Is there any need to ask?" Poseidon interjected. He raised his Trident towards Shiva and glared at the man.

Zeus, Poseidon and hades all raised their power threateningly. This was their home, and they weren't about to be bullied by the arrival of others.

" Enough! We didn't come here to fight. We came here to help things go a bit more smoothly." Odin explained. " We know of your war with the Shinto, Zeus. And we don't really have a problem with it. But we do have a problem with suddenly losing the people who worship us. So, Amaterasu came to us with a suggestion. To have your battle be a bit more, official. A tournament between both pantheons, in a place where human casualties won't be a factor." Odin told the man.

Odin, Poseidon, and Zeus were all intrigued by the proposition. A tournament would suggest, one on one fights and they would also be eliminating the threat of losing their people and planet.

" Really, and where would we have this battle?" Zeus asked.

" In a place of neutrality. Not in Greece and Not in Japan." Amaterasu explained. " We work together and create a pocket dimension where we can have our battle without the endangering the human world. I've asked the other pantheons to assist in helping us build the arena so that things are fair for both sides."

Zeus grabbed Poseidon and Hades and brought them to the side to discuss.

" What do you think?" Zeus asked his brothers.

" It could be a trap." Hades spoke.

" It could be. But it does work out in our favor." Poseidon stated.

" What do you mean?" Hades asked.

" I mean, this will take the earth out of the equation. We would no longer be required to hold back and preserve our strength. We could crush them completely and in front of other pantheons. It would cement our strength. And would make potential rivals uneasy. It would be a message to them of what would happen should they try to overtake us." Poseidon explained.

" I understand." Zeus replied.

The three Olympian gods then turned back towards their challengers and hosts of other gods with an answer.

" Very well, we accept the challenge." Zeus exclaims.

Poseidon, Hades, Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, Susanoo, Amatsu-Mikaboshi, and Zeus all smirk at each other. The Two Pantheons set up their teams, next TIME!!!!!
