Mourning.

" Come on Daddy, let's go!" Diana shouted as she ran around the newly acquired palace of Poseidon.

I watched as she ran down the halls of the blue-pearl like halls. She was so alive. It's been so long since I've seen her so happy.

" She's so lovely." Hestia spoke. She had been the one to accompany me to the new place along with Hercules.

" Yes, she is. She is all that is good in me. My guiding light." I told the woman.

" As all children are. We sometimes forget what it is we fight for. But in times like this it's nice to be reminded." Hestia replied.

" So, what are your plans now? Will you stay here and raise her. Or are you leaving?" Hercules asked.

" Once I am accustomed with things here. I will be taking my leave. Of course, I still need to see someone, but I will wait for a time. Give him time to heal and rest. Until then, I want to see more of the world with Diana. She has only ever seen Sparta and Themyscira. There is so much in the world. It would be a shame for her to never be able to experience their joys." I told the woman.

" Where do you think you will go first?" Hercules asked.

" I'm not sure. But I've got plenty of time to think about it. Maybe I'll show her the wonders of Wakanda. I didn't get a chance to really sight see last time. I was too busy fighting a horde of darkspawn." I explained.

" That sounds like an excellent idea." Hercules spoke.

I nodded and then turned back to Diana.

" Don't go too far dear. Wait for us." I told the girl.

" Yes, Daddy." Diana replied.

She turned around and back towards me.

I kneeled down and she jumped up into my arms. Laughing all the way up to my shoulders. Diana wrapped her legs around my chest and hugged me as tight as her little body could. I leaned over and kissed her square on her forehead.

" I've missed you so much, princess." I leaned over and kissed her again. Holding her as close to me as possible.

" I've missed you too daddy." Diana sniffled a little and I knew she was close to crying again.

" My little warrior. You have suffered so much. I'm sorry for not being there for you."

" You're here now." Diana spoke.

" Yeah, I am. And I'm not going anywhere anytime soon." I leaned and kissed her on the top of her head. " Now, let's go see what our new home is looking like."

" Okay."

We continued walking to our new home and once inside we took a look around.

It was a beautiful ocean blue chamber, and it was filled with his old junk.

I sat Diana down to let her roam around and began looking through things myself.

" Diana, don't touch anything until I'm sure of what does what okay?" I told the girl.

" Okay daddy." Diana shouted back.

" So, Poseidon. What are you going to do with all this Junk?" Hercules asked.

" You know you don't have to call me that. You can still call me by my name if you want, it really doesn't matter to me. But as far as this stuff goes." I said pointing to the piles of books and artifacts. " I'm going to go through each one and see what does what. You'll never know when something here might come in handy." I told the man.

" That is true. He did have a vast collection of artifacts. Just not all of them were useful." Hercules spoke.

" Hercules, I need you to do me one more favor." I spoke.

" Sure, cousin. Anything." He replied.

" The boy. Theseus. Make sure he ends up in a good home." I told the man.

" Of course." Hercules replied.

" Is there anything else you need, Nephew?" Hestia asked.

" Just some time. I appreciate you showing me to the palace. But I want some alone time with Diana. She's been through a lot and we... We haven't had a moment alone yet." I told the woman.

" Of, Course. Take care of yourself Nephew. And please do cherish every moment you two have together." Hestia leaned up and gave me a hug, as did Hercules. Once they were done saying their goodbyes they departed from the palace. Finally leaving me and Diana alone.

" Diana, sweety."

" Yes, daddy?" Diana called.

I looked over to see her laying on a pile of Poseidon's gold. Yes, i'm rich now. Richer than any man on Gaea will ever be.

I squatted down and held my arms out.

" Come here princess."

Diana swung herself off the pile of gold and ran as fast her little legs could carry her, right into my arms. I pulled her close. It still didn't feel real. To have her in my arms again after two long years. It was hard to believe.

" Daddy, I miss mommy and Jason." Diana spoke. Her sniffling gave way to tears. I could feel my chest getting wet.

" Me too baby. Me too. I'm so sorry, baby girl. I'm so sorry." I was crying now too. We sat there mourning the loss of our family for the first time since this mess started.
