Rhodes and Stark on a stakeout

"It's been a day, how sure are you that he will shot up here?" says Rhodes

"It's one of the biggest Hydra bases we could find. Besides what else are we going to do, until they move popsicle away from my tower I'm not going back" Tony just shrugs

"Tony i don't mean to offend but are you okay now? You have been acting weird ever since we saw Barnes. I can't imagine how you feel to see your parent's killer. but i have to ask how your feeling" Rhodes asks with concern

"Well... at first I admit I was pissed, but then as I started to calm down, i realized that he isn't going anywhere, and currently he is basically a vegetable, his thoughts are frozen, its a miracle his body is still functions.

And when i think of our wizard friend, do you think that he will be willing to help him? Even if we find him, Rogers doesn't have anything that would interest him, and there is no way in hell I'm paying for his services" Tony says as he munches on snacks he pulls out of who knows where

" I see... But why don't we just blow it up and leave a note or something.. I mean its Hydra. It's not like we will be doing something bad., at least this way we don't have to waste time here" Rhodes just sighs, his mental fatigue is catching up

"Because Alexander Pierce is blocking us. He has connections to Hydra, and is a major pain in the ass. Can you believe that he is still pressuring you to share the War Machine with the them" Tony shakes his head

(He is a hidden Hydra Leader that has a high position in the US government)

"He can dream all he wants, the Iron Patriot!! is the property of the US Army. And only i can use it, because you made sure to code it after the incident with Ivan. So currently I'm the only one who can use this thing"

"Why don't you just call him Whiplash?" Tony points out as he opens a new bag of his secret stash of snacks

"Because I will not stoop so low as to give bad guys code names, and.."

"What the hell are you doing?" Ward interrupted Rhodes by suddenly appearing behind them. They both get the jump scare of their lives

"JESUS!" Rhodes puts his hand over his heart

"What the hell MAN!" Tony yells out, holding his chest as well

"What.. are you doing?..." Ward just ignores their cries'. To him they look like children getting caught doing something they shouldn't have

"Ummm...We were kinda... waiting for...You?..." Rhodes manages to say

"...Okayyy... Why?"

"Well we got your little gift, thanks for that by the way, the thing is he is brain dead, not that I'm complaining, but if you can come and check on him and say that there is no hope. it would be the icing on the cake" Tony gets excited like a little kid just by the thought of it

"Wait back up. He is brain dead?" Ward stops him from daydreaming

"Yea didn't you do it on purpose?" Rhodes raises an eyebrow

"No, Why would i waste my time doing that" says Ward

"You put a pink ribbon on his head and left a note. That isn't wasting time?"

"There is always time for a little comedy Rhodes, you need to lighten up, all that stress isn't good for your health"* Ward gives some friendly advice

"He is right, how about you and me go for some drinks after this, I'll introduce you to a cute bartender i know" Tony shows a bright smile as he joins me

Rhodes looks at us and sighs "Can we please just go now..." then he looks at Tony

"Is.. she hot?.." Tony grins even more

"Oh you have no idea, and I'm pretty sure she has a thing for men in uniform"

Rhodes claps his hands "Okay lets go people, we got work to do"

Ward laughs at their antics before looking at Tony "You have mellowed out Stark, honestly i was expecting Barnes to be dead by now"

"Me too, but as you can see things didn't exactly go according to plan, and if I'm going to kill him, he needs to be awake, Killing someone in their sleep would leave a bad taste in my mouth" Tony admits

"Meh once you do it a couple of times, and you get used to it" Ward shrugs his shoulders

"Oh yea, you were a super spy before you joined the "Dark Side" " Tony quotes with his fingers

"Actually i was with Hyrda from the start, and here i am now destroying all of their bases, the world works in funny ways" smirks Ward

"I don't mean to interrupt but can we leave, there is a long way to fly until the Tower" Rhodes being the buzz kill that he is breaks their conversation

"Fly? You must be joking" Ward looks at him like he is an idiot

"Well how do you suggest we get to th... Ohhhh" it was at that moment that Rhodes remembered that that he can open portals

"Yea Ohhhh"

"Well lets see some magic, It would be great if we didn't have to fly all the way back" Stark's eyes light up, he really wants to see how magic works, the last time his mind was preoccupied with other things for his actually brain to notice the potential of magic

"Sighhh, just this once.. I'm curious as why Barnes turned out the way he did." Ward starts to spin his hand and open a portal leading to the Tower

"Nice.. You'd make a fortune as a travel agency" Tony jokes

"I'm robbing Hydra left and right, i won't be having money issues for a long time. Well Ladies after you" Ward points to the portal,

Stark wanted to make a comeback but Rhodes pushed him in" We don't have the time, you can talk later" and followed Tony

Ward just shrugs and goes in as well, and the portal closes
