13 Chapter 13: X-Men and the Brotherhood

August 8th, 1999

1407 Graymalkin Lane, Salem Center, Westchester County, New York.

Laying prone on a bed in a beautiful manor was a blonde hair, blue-eyed young girl dressed in all white who appeared to be in deep thought.

This young girl was Emma Frost. Young Emma ran away from home nearly 6 months ago after her father informed her she would be marrying his work partner once she reached the age of 16. Although the man in question was nice to her, she did not want to marry Sebastian Shaw.

Emma was already disgusted with her father for sending her gay brother to be institutionalized, but this was her last straw. Knowing her mother Hazel was a pushover, she went to her older sister Adrienne to help her escape, but she was, unfortunately, betrayed.

Winston flew into a rage once he learned his daughter wanted to flee the marriage and proceeded to go to her room to punish her with his two bodyguards in tow. After confronting Emma, he beat her.

This beating unlocked Emma's mutations. Her entire body converted itself into diamond, and she felt her minds eye open up. Being able to read the sick minds of her fathers bodyguards was a surreal experience.

In a state of rage, Emma instinctively commanded her fathers bodyguards to shoot him in the legs. After his bodyguards unloaded their clips into his legs, she stepped on his head in her diamond form. Before she could kill him, her sister Adrienne burst in with their mother.

Adrienne pushed Emma off their father while their mother, Hazel, bent on the ground crying, trying to help Winston.

Emma witnessing her sister and mother worry over her scumbag father while they threw her away like trash broke something inside her.

She stood up in her diamond form and ran. By the time she reoriented herself, she had no idea where she was.

Having no idea what to do, Emma lived on the streets for about a month before mastering her powers enough to steal a condo from some rich asshole.

One day, a bald man and a beautiful silver haired woman appeared in front of her stolen condo.

They explained they were also mutants, and they wanted her to come with them to help master her powers.

At first skeptical, she was surprised when she heard the bald mans voice inside her head telling her it was okay to trust them. Feeling her distrust gradually start to disappear, she agreed to go back with them.

Back to the present day, Emma now lived a relatively comfortable life in the X-Mansion with several other mutants while training her telepathic powers every day.

*Knock* *Knock*

Startled out of her thoughts, Emma ran to her bedroom door after hearing several knocks.

"Ororo... Jean... It's odd seeing you here today. Usually, you're training with Scott and the others," Emma said in a curious tone.

"Professor Xavier sent us to get you. A new mutant was discovered, and he thinks you and Jean could help recruit him," Ororo explained in a completely emotionless voice.

Emma frowned at that. After thinking about it, she said, "I'm not going to go honeypot some random person if that's what you're thinking."

Jean let out a laugh, and Ororo's lips twitched into a slight smirk before settling down again.

"There's no honeypotting going on. You'll understand when you hear this new mutants name and see what he looks like," Ororo said in an oddly amused tone.

With an upquirck in her eyebrow, Emma said, "Why would his name matter? I don't really care what he looks like either, to be honest with you."

Ororo replied, "Really? Even if his name is Jack Frost, he looks like you, and you guys are the same age? I would guess he is your twin."

Emma was shellshocked hearing that, but knowing how much of a scumbag their father is, she wouldn't be surprised if he had a few bastards on the side, but not one he'd willingly give the name Frost to.

Deciding she needed to see if she had another sibling, she said, "Alright, let's go see this Jack... Frost. Let's hurry before Scott, that annoying douche gets here, too."

Ororo let out a single cough while Jean just playfully slapped Emma's shoulder.

Jack's Skyscraper, New York.

Jack and Ying Li finally arrived home after killing the Lizardman. After getting dirty looks from his mother the whole car ride home, he finally took her into his [Infinity Castle] space to introduce his mother to Warden and Rook.

Making a portal directly into Rook and Warden's resting place, they were both stunned when they saw the Lizardman with his head reattached and encased within a 16-foot ice block.

"The hell? Did you guys put him back together?," Jack asked in an amused tone.

Rook and Warden both looked at each other and said, "Trophy," at the same time.

Jack let out a laugh while Ying Li was still looking at these giants shellshocked.

"Jack... What are they?," Ying Li said in a quiet tone.

"Er... I don't really know how to explain it without sounding like Dr. Frankenstein. I basically built a body and gave it life?," as Jack explained, he got quiter near the end.

"You did what?!," Ying Li was flabbergasted. She knew her son had some special powers and wasn't 100% human, but creating sentient life is just inconceivable.

Before Ying Li could process that more, she heard Jack say, "Rook, Warden, this is my mother, Ying Li. I want you to protect her at all times and treat her just as you do Stella and I."

The two giants broke out of their admiration for their trophy and went up to Ying Li, who took a step back after they both approached her.

Kneeling in front of her, they said:

"Rook, ready for service."

"Warden, ready for service."

Ying Li hurriedly helped them up and said, "No need to kneel to me. Just act like you usually do."

Rook and Warden looked at each other, and Rook said, "You nicer than Jack. I like you."

Jack lips twitched after hearing that interaction.

Before he could say something, his [A.I. Chip] sent him a notification.

[Ding! Multiple vehicles requesting entry into your building. Let them in? Y/N]

Jack was surprised someone came to visit him. Asking his mom what she wanted to do, she decided she wanted to go back to China to start dinner. Agreeing, he opened a portal for his mother back to the Xu Family Compound.

Before she went through, she said, "Come home for dinner tonight after settling your affairs. I think your father will want to hear about your two friends here."

Jack just said, "Urgh."

Opening up a portal to the top floor of his skyscraper, he went over to his PC to open up the security footage. Not being able to see the inside of the cars through the shitty 1999 security cameras, he said through the intercom, "Who are you guys? What do you want?"

The car in front rolled down the window, and a beautiful silver haired woman stuck her head out and said, "Hello, my name is Ororo Munroe. We're here to see Jack Frost. It's important."

Seeing the iconic heroine, Jack didn't know what to do for a few seconds. After about 20 seconds, he said, "Pull into the parking lot, and come to the very top floor."

As he said that, the iron gate blocking the underground parking lot opened up.

After the two cars parked, the occupants of them both got out.

Ororo, Jean, and Emma got out of the first car, while Ororo unloaded the Professors wheelchair.

Magneto, Wanda, and Callisto got out of the second car.

Waiting for Xavier to get on his wheelchair, Magneto said, "Charles, we meet again."

Xavier smiled slightly and said, "It's nice to see you here too, Erik. There's no need for that silly helmet, I won't read your mind."

Magneto just hmphed and flipped his cape, making way to the elevator.

While Xavier rolled after him; Wanda, Jean, Emma, Ororo, and Callisto held back to talk.

"So, what do you guys think this new mutant is like?," Jean asked the group of girls.

"Powerful," Callisto said immediately.

"What do you mean by that?," Emma asked that woman.

Callisto side-eyed her and said, "Don't tell me you haven't seen the news? Two giants made of ice demolished a giant lizard downtown earlier today. What did you think all of those police running around outside were for? Do you really think it's a coincidence that I detected an Omega level powerwave the moment that fight happened? I don't think so. The brotherhood will recruit this mutant no matter what, so you guys should just pack it up."

Besides Wanda, the rest of the girls were shocked. Preparing themselves, they all stepped into the large elevator that easily fit the seven occupants. Clicking the button for the top floor, they waited anxiously.

*DING* The elevator stopped on the top floor and opened, revealing a beautiful modern loft. A young man who appeared to be 18 was lazing about on the couch in black training robes.

Standing up, he said nonchalantly, "So, why are you looking for me?"

Seeing this youth, there were various reactions from those present.

Callisto felt a shiver go down her spine when she detected his power up close.

Jean felt some sort of fire stir within her soul, something she has never felt before. She thought she heard a bird screech, but she ignored it.

Ororo still had her cold facade, but her eyes widened slightly, seeing him.

Wanda wouldn't stop staring at his face with an intense look, which made Jack feel a little awkward.

Emma took one look at him and said, "You look like me."

Taking a look at this girl, he was surprised to see she was right. Before he could respond, he got a notification from his [A.I. Chip].

[Ding! Mental Interferance Detected! Consuming 25 energy to block every probe! Recommended to convert to [Organic Ice-Form]!]

Before he lost any more energy, he immediately converted into his [Organic Ice-Form]. Starting from his chest, ice spread throughout his body, encasing him in beautiful ice blue armor. As soon as the helmet fully covered his face, he looked at the shocked mutants and said to Xavier in an ice cold tone, "Did you just try to read my mind you old goat fucker."

"I'm sorry young Jack, I do it for all young mutants I come across. It helps them know they're not alone," Xavier said after getting over his surprise.

Jack scoffed and said, "The last thing I want is some bald headed fuck peaking around in my head. Next time you try some shit like that, I'll end you."

Magneto, Callisto, and Wanda let out laughs after hearing what Jack said.

Ororo, Jean, and Emma looked somewhat ashamed.

"I'm sorry, Jack. We got off on the wrong foot. We're here to let you know that you're a mutant. We can help you control your powers," Xavier said in a placating tone.

Jack in his [Organic Ice-Form] looked at Xavier like a retard and said sarcastically, "Really? I'm a mutant? I had no idea."

Ororo coughed, quickly trying to suppress her laugh. The rest let out suppressed giggles.

"Is that all? If that's all you came for, I'm not interested. What I am interested in is you," Jack said while pointing to Emma.

"What's your name?," Jack asked the girl.

"E-Emma Frost. Nice to meet you, Jack," Emma said after a quick stutter.

Jack had to process that. He'd be an idiot not to realize Winston Frost is most likely his father in this universe. He thought he just inherited the name Jack Frost from his gacha rolls, but that didn't seem to be the case now.

"Wasn't she supposed to join the Hellfire club? Why is she with the X-Men?," Jack was in deep thought.

Breaking out of his reverie, he probed her saying, "Are we related or something?"

"I-I think we might be. When were you born?," Emma said nervously.

"December 25th, 1983," Jack replied.

"That... would make sense. My father and mother had a rough patch in their relationship after my birth, and you were born 10 months after I was born. That should make me your... older sister," Emma said nervously.

Walking over to Emma, he put a hand on her shoulder and said, "It's nice meeting you, sis."

Smiling back while blushing, she said, "It's nice to meet you too... brother."

Before he could ask more questions, Magneto said, "Sorry to interrupt, but were you responsible for the Williamsburg incident?"

Knowing it's basically impossible to deny it with his [Organic Ice-Form] activated, he said, "I have no idea what you're talking about."

Magneto just smirked and shook his head.

Turning his attention back to Emma, he said softly, "So, why are you with these guys? If you need a place to stay, my door is always open. This whole building is mine. You can take any floor you want if you need."

Every person there was stunned. They thought he was renting the top floor at most, but hearing he owned this entire skyscraper made them question his background.

Emma was shocked. She replied, "T-that's okay, Jack. I wouldn't want to trouble you."

"It's no trouble at all. Stop by anytime, and you can pick out a floor. We can go out shopping to decorate it to your liking. Here's my phone number; call anytime you need anything," Jack said as a conjured an ice plate with his number on it and gave it to Emma.

"Thank you, Jack. I might take you up on that later," Emma said shyly.

Xavier frowned after seeing this interaction.

Magneto focused on other things said, "Jack, what exactly is your power?"

Looking at the curious people around him, he said, "Besides the obvious cryokinesis, I can do this."

Jack lifted up his pointer finger and started conjuring an extremely detailed snowflake. Imbuing it with [Magic of Fun], he flicked his finger and sent it sailing towards Ororo's nose.

As soon as it hit her nose, the usually emotionless Ororo broke out into giggles and laughs. The dark clouds in the sky broke apart, revealing the sun. Birds and insects outside started chirping.

Everyone was stunned seeing this, even Jack.
