11 IRL Boss Battle Is Too Hard

"Welcome. Welcome. Welcome. Fancy meeting you here, Samanosuke Akechi.", said Guildenstern as if he already expected us coming here. He continued, "I see that the time fold is still unstable."

Meanwhile, inside my head, Regina was busy working, [Detecting important clues relating to the quest, installing related knowledge of the language used.]

I finally could understand what he was talking about. I decided to watch the ongoing event. I already knew what happens and why they came, but the quest wouldn't count it. I once again opened the Quest Bar.

"Time fold? What are you...?" Samanosuke was about to continue before finally understood what Guildenstern meant. "So this is all you doing?"

Looking at the flustered and angered Samanosuke, he just laughs sinisterly. "Now just calm down, you maggot!"

Samanosuke couldn't help but ask, "Where are we?"

"Where? We're in Paris, France. But more importantly, we're in Paris five-hundred years after your Age of Warring States!" Answered Guildenstern exaggerating his pose.

"What?!" Samanosuke was shocked by his statement.

Not letting the moment of truth wasted, Guildenstern continued, "The Genma are under new orders from Nobunaga. We've begun new operation in these lands!" feeling a pure delight and expectation mixed at the future pleasure he would get in this world, he laughed harder and longer than before.

Samanosuke was truly enraged, not only he was sent away from his world, but the damn Genma also aimed to bring havoc into this world. "Why you!! What are you planning!?"

"Now, I can't ruin the surprise for you, can I." he playfully teased Samanosuke. And as if he just recalled something, Guildenstern lightly jumped and said, "Ahh, by the way, let me introduce you to my new baby boy. BRAINSTERN!"

I heard a jet plane noise from far away upon the gloomy cloud. From the thick cloud appeared a hole caused by an object flew down, forming a line. The line got closer and closer which then started circling us before finally landed on the rooftop.

Clouds of dust flew everywhere, we have to cover our eyes from it and the strong gust. Opening our eyes, we saw the object standing in front of us.

It was a green heavy armored mecha robot. It was bigger than I remembered back in the game. It was 4 meters tall, the size of the Ogre Genma we faced a few times before. Its single red bright eye was looking down on us.

On its back was a missile launcher and its wide shield-like hand acted as a wing with a mounted Gatling gun on each side. Its two-leg was placed on the front and back. It will retract when it flew. On its huge body was a huge pulsing brain. Basically, it was a mini grotesque Gundam.

A light flickered, Samanosuke drew Tensho out. I also took out a FAMAS from the pocket and set it into automatic fire. I rechecked my stats.

Translucent green and blue light spiraled around Guildenstern and he vanished while laughing out loud.

Now we were left with the huge mecha monster. Without waiting, Brainstern fired both of its Gatling gun toward us. Samanosuke stepped back, held the hood of my hoodie, and tossed me to the wall. After that, he also rolled away. The Gatling guns were too strong. It bored many holes that form two straight lines along the floor.

I noticed that although the guns were strong, it only capable of straight-shooting. As long as we know how to evade it, the Gatling gun won't be a problem. I started shooting while running around his back, looking for weakness, but the plate covering his body were too thick for my bullet to penetrate through.

Except for the uncovered pulsing brain on top of its head, there seemed to be no sign of other weak spots. But if I want to aim it, I have to jump on the railing to get on high ground. Samanosuke charged Oni's power on the sword, making the light intensify on his swords. He rushed toward its side and slammed the swords to Brainstern's shield-like hand.

The plating on its shield was blown up from the impact, showing the grotesque flesh inside. Brainstern was a Genma that was fused with modern technology. If we want to damage him, stripping him of the plating armor would be our first task.

Brainstern's eyes on the chest glowed red, showing how angry it was. It raised the shield and the claw on the tip of the shield shot toward Samanosuke. He evaded to the left but the cable that connected the claw and the shield scratched his armor.

While the claw being hoisted back, another claw shot toward where he stood. I switched my rifle with a sniper. What I need right now was firepower. I shot the flying claw, changing the claws trajectory.

Seeing the claw deflected, Samanosuke charged again toward Brainstern. He evades the shot from one of the Gatling guns by twisting his body and continue running. I covered him by continuously shooting the FR F2.

"BANG! Katcha. BANG! Katcha. BANG! Katcha.

Once Samanosuke got closer, he slides in between its leg, evading the thrust from Brainstern's shield, and slashed at its legs and backs. The Genma turn its body and started barraging bullets and spun, causing the surrounding wall to be riddled with holes.

I hide behind the platform where Guildenstern stood before. Samanosuke followed the speed of the Brainstern's rotation, none of the bullets could reach him. Once the barrage stopped, half of the platform body was crumbling from the bullet's hole. If it was a focused fire, the whole platform would have gone.

I peeked outside and resumed shooting at its body. After getting reinforced, the sniper's penetrating power was far stronger than before. Suddenly the Genma retracted its leg and float mid-air. This is bad.

The missile launcher started shooting. The missile was spread apart, aiming for the whole rooftop. Samanosuke dashed toward me, pulling my hoodie again, and threw me up. The missile was blowing up the rooftop and the explosion was far bigger than I expected. Samanosuke was somewhere inside the smoke.

Taking advantage of my body that was higher than Brainstern's position. I reloaded and shooting its brain area while falling down.

Bang! Katcha. Bang! Katcha. Bang!.....

Finally, my attack was effective, making Brainstern slowly falling down. All of a sudden, from the middle of the smokes and clouds of dust on Arc de Triomphe, a small whirlwind formed, revealing the bloody Samanosuke, inside the previous lower room The whole rooftop was gone from the bombardment.

Both of his swords were on his left, glowing and pulsing like a beacon in the dark. While Brainstern was slowly falling on him, the time slowed like a crawl, inside this slow world both the Genma's body and Samanosuke's Tensho clashed on each other.

Kaboooom!! Boom!!

The impact of their clashing was far bigger than the missile's explosion from before. Brainstern flew through the room and out of the building itself. Samanosuke then jumped and caught me in the air.

It finally ended. With that kind of attack, it was almost impossible to withstand. Yet, that impossibility comes to pass.

There's no EXP notification. Samanosuke was too exhausted to stand and blood kept dripping from his forehand. The explosion injured his left arm and there might be another injury around his body.

A sound of jet engine blaring from the outside, we looked over the hole of the wall and saw it drift near the ground before it lunged toward us. Samanosuke pushed me away and he got hit, but he withstood Brainstern's impact. He holds on the shield that was spread like a wing and moved to its back.

With his left hand hanging on the gap on its back, his right hand glowed and one of the Tensho appeared. He stabbed it on the joint between the shield and the body, locking it in place. Another Tensho appears and this time he stabbed it on the pulsing brain on top of Brainstern's body. It wanted to throw Samanosuke off but the Genma could on turn left, its right shield/wing was too stiff.

Since it could only turn left, the Genma was flying close to the monument. Samanosuke took this chance and landed in the previous room.

I didn't stay still and started reinforcing every single bullet inside the FR F2's magazine box. The penetration power bordered an anti-tank rifle, probably more. I haven't raised any INT stats, and haven't rested that much, blood flow again from my nostrils. But I must stay focused.

[Warning: if user continue to use Reinforce, it will start affecting your life span]

I smiled and said, "That's a scary way to cheer me up."

BANG! Katcha BANG! Katcha BANG! Katcha BANG!...

[...]

The first five-shot has proven to be more than satisfying. It hit Brainstern's body and it fell on top of stacks of cars, causing a chain explosion. There was still no EXP notification that indicated the end of its life even after I emptied the magazine box. I took out several normal hand grenades and gave it to Samanosuke.

"Pull the pin and threw it to him." He was surprised that I could speak his language. But the fight wasn't over yet and he started throwing, without talking.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

After another three explosions, it finally died.

[+3500 EXP]

[Level up]

I ignore the notification and stopped Samanosuke from pulling another grenade's pin. The fatigue was too much to bear and my body slowly fell. He held my body and piggybacked me downstairs. In the midst of exhaustion, I closed my eyes and slept.
