78 Chapter 78: Chloe

The next morning, Jack suddenly woke up from a dream, sitting up in bed.

"This dream again!"

He held his forehead and closed his eyes, frowning in confusion.

For the past month or so, he had been having this strange dream every day.

In the dream, everything was pitch black, but it seemed like many people were whispering the same thing in his ear.

"The man outside of time"

"The man outside of time"

"The man outside of time"

.....

Jack was getting more and more annoyed and confused by all the noise he was hearing. He kept shouting to try and get a response, but all he heard was someone saying, "The man outside of time" over and over again. He was getting so upset that he almost lost it, but then he finally managed to wake up.

The dream was super weird, and Jack wasn't even sure if it was something that usually happens to people. He muttered to himself, "The man outside of time?" and tried to figure out what it all meant.

Suddenly, there was a loud crash from downstairs, causing Jack to check the time and realize it was only 5 a.m. Could they have been robbed at this hour?

Wearing a short-sleeved shirt and shorts, Jack got up, walked out of his room, and headed downstairs.

The sound came from the kitchen, and Jack saw Wanda and Pietro hurriedly picking up something as he walked over.

"What are you two doing up so early?" Jack asked, noticing the dim light outside. Why would they be up so early?

"Ah!" The siblings were startled by Jack, and they stood up nervously, looking at him with worry.

"Are you...making breakfast?" Jack looked around the kitchen, seeing oatmeal cooking in a pot, a bread machine toasting bread, and a frying pan with bacon and eggs.

"Hmm?"

Suddenly, a trace of blood-red color on the salad dressing caught Jack's attention. He looked up at the two of them, and although Wanda had her head down, he could still see that she was feeling some kind of pain based on the expression on her face.

"Pietro, clean up the mess on the floor."

Seeing the anxious expressions on the faces of the siblings, Jack seemed to have figured out something. He sighed, walked over, and pulled Wanda to the living room without hesitation.

"Sit down."

Forcibly pushing Wanda onto the couch, he took out a medical spray from the sink and grabbed her hand, spreading it out.

Sure enough, there was a small two-centimeter-long wound on her right index finger, oozing blood.

He carefully sprayed the medical spray on the wound, and the wound rapidly healed before his eyes.

"Don't come into the kitchen again," said Jack

Wanda looked concerned, but she let Jack take care of her. When he said something to her, it seemed to hit her hard - her face turned pale, and she started shaking slightly.

"I didn't bring you here just because I needed a cook," Jack said as he wiped Wanda's delicate hand with a disinfectant wipe. "I did it because I wanted to. You don't have to burden yourselves with anything else. Just focus on going to school and enjoying your lives."

"Do you understand?" he asked.

"After all, strictly speaking, you saved me, and thanks to yourselves, you have the life you have today."

Jack actually knew that this kind of situation would happen if he brought Wanda and Pietro with him.

The siblings thought that Jack was treating them too well. They started following him around to show their gratitude, but now they feel like they're living like royalty. Their life now and in the future greatly differs from the harsh conditions they were used to.

Naturally, they feel like they owe Jack for providing them with this kind of lifestyle, and they want to do everything they can to repay him and make up for it.

As he expected, when he finished speaking, the siblings looked anxious and seemed to want to say something. He interrupted them and spoke in a low, firm voice: "From now on, you need to recognize your place in this household. You are a part of this family, not servants!"

After speaking, he clapped his hands, and footsteps could be heard coming down the stairs. Wanda and Pietro looked curiously and saw a blonde woman dressed in a pure white home outfit slowly coming down the stairs.

"Her name is Chloe, a domestic service robot. From today on, she will be responsible for all household chores."

After introducing her, Jack stood up and walked toward the second floor. "I'm going to take a shower. Chloe, prepare breakfast."

"Yes, sir."

Chloe stood obediently on the side, and after Jack went upstairs, she smiled friendly at Pietro and Wanda before walking straight into the kitchen to prepare the remaining breakfast.

Wanda and Pietro were both a bit stunned. The two siblings stood outside the kitchen, staring at Chloe without blinking. She appeared to be gentle and quiet, but when it came to cooking, she was fast and efficient, unlike the two of them, who was clumsy.

"Ja... Jack just said she's a robot?" Wanda asked her brother quietly after watching Chloe for a while.

Pietro's lips trembled, but before he could speak, Chloe in the kitchen answered her, "To be precise, I'm an ST200 service-type android created specifically to serve household members."

Chloe held a large bowl, stirring the vegetable salad inside as she looked at Wanda and replied, "Mr. Wayne has specifically assigned me as your two's life assistant. If there's anything you don't understand, you can ask me. If you need me to do anything, you can assign it to me."

Wow!

The two siblings looked at each other in shock. They knew about robots, but they never imagined robots that looked exactly like humans, or even more beautiful than humans, actually existed outside of science fiction movies.

The two siblings noticed a blue circle of light at the corner of Chloe's right temple, near her eye. Maybe that was a bio-android marker, they thought, since they were so similar to humans.

The two siblings asked Chloe about her life and experiences as a bio-android, eager to learn more. Meanwhile, Chloe continued to chat with them while preparing a delicious breakfast.

At that moment, Jack walked down the stairs, wearing a short-sleeved shirt and shorts.

"Let's eat. Afterward, Chloe will take you to school," he said.

As they sat down at the table, Jack took out a credit card from his pocket and handed it to Wanda. "Take this. If you need anything, just ask Chloe to take you shopping."

Wanda felt a bit panicked and wanted to return the credit card to Jack, but he stopped her with his gaze. After hesitating for a moment, she eventually put it in her pocket.

"Good," Jack smiled and nodded approvingly. "Let's have breakfast!"
