92 MUP: Chapter 91. The Mystery Man

Fortunately, what S.H.I.E.L.D. had seen so far were just his clones.

Shaking his head, Ryan stopped caring about S.H.I.E.L.D.

Until there was an official contact with S.H.I.E.L.D., any more consideration would be useless.

Therefore, Ryan quickly brought his attention back to the system in front of him. After raising his eyes and glancing at the points on the data panel, he then consumed 10,000 reputation points to redeem a [Bronze Treasure Chest].

This wasn't the first time Ryan had redeemed a [Bronze treasure Chest]. If he hadn't considered the limitation of the data panel, he could have redeemed two treasure chests at once, opened them in a row, and experienced the feeling of two consecutive draws.

Currently, he could only buy and open one, one at a time.

The familiar white light came out.

[Item: Invincible Venomous Wasp]

[Effect: Poison]

[Introduction: A deadly concealed weapon from the movie 'The Eagle Shooting Heroes'. Rumour has it that one bite from it will cause severe pain for a whole day.]

[Remarks: This wasp doesn't distinguish between an enemy and a friend.]

[Remark 2: The wasp will attack the closest target to itself.]

  ...

[B-level Card Fragment x 1]

[Effect: Assembling]

[Introduction: Unknown B-level card fragment. Collect five fragments to synthesise a brand new card.]

The two items were one good and one bad, which Ryan found barely acceptable, but of course, the main thing to consider was the C-level card that would be issued at the end.

[C-level card -- Bruno Bucciarati]

[Skill: Sticky Fingers]

[Introduction: He is one of the main characters of 'JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind'. He is also the leader of his own squad, Team Bucciarati, a squad of stand users that work for the Italian Mafia group, "Passione". He was later promoted to an officer of the organisation. Influenced by the death of his father, the organisation's drug trafficking and the boss's attempt to kill his own daughter, he led the squad to betray the organisation and contributed greatly to Giorno's victory over the boss. His stand is 'Sticky Fingers', with the ability to sew zips on any object by touching it with his fists.]

[Remarks: The object struck must have a solid body.]

[Remark 2: This ... This is the taste of a liar ...]

Ryan's expression was a little subtle as he looked at the new bronze-coloured card in front of him.

He had read some of the "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" manga, and there was no doubt about the power of a Stand, especially when one of them could stop time, which was theoretically quite unsolvable. It's just that, without having to think much about it, if he wanted to unlock a time-related character card, it would have to be a B-level card or above at any rate.

Pulling back his thoughts, Ryan returned his gaze to the [Bruno Bucciarati] card in front of him. Although the character's Stand ability wasn't as powerful as the other characters in the manga, however, when he thought about the various uses of [Bruno Bucciarati]'s Stand in the manga, it wasn't a bad card.

  ...

Prison, visiting section.

Kingpin sat in his chair. His huge frame made everything around him seem small. He turned his head to look at the warder behind him, who turned away knowingly.

Turning back, picking up the phone, Kingpin's low voice rang out in the visiting cubicle, "How's everything going?"

"As you expected, everything is going very smoothly." On the other side of the bulletproof glass, Bullseye bowed his head and reported, "Without the order you had been maintaining, the entire Hell's Kitchen has been thrown into chaos, with gangs fighting over the position you left behind."

In the visiting room, Kingpin curled his lips and meaningfully said, "Sometimes failure doesn't mean a crisis, but a new opportunity. There've been too many guys running into Hell's Kitchen that we can't control, so it's time to filter some things out."

"What I need is someone who can do business for me, not a bunch of idiots with all brawns and no brains."

"What about the Hand?" Nodding his head, Bullseye immediately mentioned another name, "According to the investigation, it's very likely that Madame Gao betrayed us."

"With only one finger left on the Hand, she can't pick anything up." Without responding positively to Bullseye's question, Kingpin lightly remarked.

"In the meantime, just be patient and wait."

In the visiting room, the bell to remind them of the time kept ringing, but the guards didn't move at all.

"Anyway, I have plenty of time to play along with them."

With that, Kingpin hung up the phone and slowly rose from his chair. Noticing the movement coming from behind him, the warder subconsciously breathed a sigh of relief.

In the corridors of the prison, the inmates in the rooms on either side of the building gazed at the tall figure and kept silent. They were too afraid of moving even the slightest.

What the inmates feared was not only Kingpin's fearsome reputation but also the terrifying power and dreadful force that lay beneath his huge frame.

A few days ago, an unfortunate guy who didn't know any better provoked Kingpin.

As a result, the next day, he was found dead in his bed, in the prison cell, he was staying in.

Walking behind the trembling guards, Kingpin made his way towards his own prison cell. Unlike other two-person cells that were cramped and dirty...

The cell where Kingpin lived was extremely clean, and there was an old radio on the bedside table.

Ignoring the radio in the cell, the guards unlocked Kingpin's handcuffs and watched him walk into the prison cell. A small sigh of relief escaped the guards' lips.

Watching the guards leave, Kingpin rotated his wrist and was about to turn on the bedside radio when a fluttering voice suddenly came from outside of the prison cell.

"Surprisingly, the once crime lord is now flaunting his powers as a small-time ringleader in prison."

"Who are you?"

Frowning, Kingpin turned to look at where the sound had come from, only to see a dark figure appearing there.

"It doesn't matter who I am. What matters is what you want, Kingpin."

The expression on Kingpin's face didn't change in the slightest when the dark figure spoke, "What I want, I can achieve on my own. I don't need a guy like you, who came out of nowhere, to help me." As Kingpin spoke, he stared at the figure but couldn't get a clear view of what the other person looked like; all he could see was a dark figure.

"Really, even if you encounter an existence like the Beast again? Do you have the same amount of confidence to say that?"

"Who the hell are you?!" When he heard that the figure actually knew the Beast's name, Kingpin's voice subconsciously rose a little.

"I, I'm from Jiu You ..."

[Reputation points from Kingpin +180]
