4 4: Into the Spider-Verse (System)

As the sun slowly set, Miles was laying down on his bunk bed and looking through his phone until the front door was unlocked and a chubby Asian-American male walked in.

"hey man," Ganke Lee said as he noticed Miles on the bed scrolling through his phone.

"What's up dude" Miles replied.

"Nothing much, I'm about to do some work right now" Ganke Lee replied before pulling out his laptop and spending a couple of hours on it, doing who knows what, and then heading to bed.

Miles tried everything he could to fall asleep, but he just had too much energy.

Seeing as Ganke Lee was fast asleep and even snoring, Miles wore an all-black outfit before jumping off the window and skillfully maneuvering down from the academy building until he entered the streets of Brooklyn New York.

Walking through the city with his hood down, Miles randomly walked towards any random place.

Even at this time of the night, the city of New York was surprisingly still wide awake, and many people could be seen walking around the streets.

Bam!

As Miles made his way past a certain dark street, his ears couldn't help but pick up sounds of continuous crashing and assault.

"People are fighting here?" Miles thought as he stealthily moved to the side to observe the situation.

"The fuck? I asked you to bring me 5 bags, and this is what the fuck you got me?" A vicious voice was heard as the sound of crashing once again rang out.

Miles watched as a group of burly men surrounded a young man before brutally beating and kicking him to the ground.

"Ouch," Miles exclaimed softly as he watched the group of men unleash terror onto the body of the young man.

After listening for a little while, Miles realized that this was just strife within a gang, they had paid for some "products" and the guy being beaten up had failed to deliver and even lost some of it.

Even so, He wouldn't just watch all of this happen, at least he should beat them unconscious.

Miles didn't rush into the scene as he wasn't sure if the people in that group had any large guns, it would be crazy if he took another shot to the chest and transmigrated again.

With a light jump, Miles ran up the wall in Infront of him stealthily until he appeared on the roof.

"I just need to punch the shit out of every one of them, that simple" Miles said with a smile, although he seemed calm, this was his first time being a superhero, he didn't know what to do at all.

tightening his hoodie around his head, Miles looked down at the brutal altercation before jumping down into the scene.

Bang!

With a light punch, Miles sent one of the Gangsters flying off into the distance, But he didn't hold back there.

A series of punches rang out once again, and all the Gangsters had been sent flying.

"that easy?" Miles said in shock as he looked down at his fist and then at the miserable gangsters.

[Ding!

Defeated 4 Gangsters, +10 system points] A mechanical voice soon appeared in Miles's head before he could take a step forward.

"What?" A look of bewilderment appeared on Miles's face as he looked around, thinking that the voice was coming from around him.

[Ding!

Defeated 4 Gangsters, +10 system points]

The mechanical voice appeared over and over, It took a short while for Miles to realize what was happening.

"system? Do I have a system? Fuck" He almost shouted till he realized the area he was in.

soon a holographic screen appeared in front of Miles displaying a status screen.

Looking through the status screen, Miles could pretty much understand the use of the system after a while.

After defeating villains, he could gain system points, and these points could then be used to upgrade his Spiderman powers.

If that were true, wouldn't he pretty much become one of the strongest individuals in this world if he continued to upgrade his power?

Miles calmed down his breathing and didn't dare to think too much about it, he looked down at the unconscious gangsters, including the young man who had been beaten till he couldn't move anymore, and decided to leave the area.

it would be bad if anyone saw him here!

Miles immediately searched the bodies of the Gangsters, and as expected they had a lot of money on them, nearly around 500 in total from all of them.

Miles deliberately avoided touching any of those packaged "Substances" they had on them.

but as Miles was about to leap to the roof and disappear from the scene, another holographic screen appeared in Infront of him after the "status" screen appeared.

[Ding!

defeated targets detected!

No extractable abilities were found!

Failure!]

"what? extractable abilities?" Miles was confused once again, the system had another function?

From the looks of it, Any opponent he defeated, had a chance to extract one of their abilities.

Miles didn't know the correct limitations of this broken power yet, but it brought a smile to his face.

"Damn, I can even become as strong as Thor? Thanos? The Eternals? Galactus? holy shit" Miles found it hard to believe this system he had been given.

It was crazy to imagine the abilities he could gain, not only that but he could even upgrade them with enough system points.

He was an Ability Stealer, A broken cheat.

Miles calmed down and made his way away from the scene, he needed to digest all this information, it was too much of a game-changer.

After a few minutes of jumping from rooftop to rooftop, Miles immediately made his way back up the academy walls and opened the window slowly.

But as he was about to take a step through, a pair of eyes made contact with him.

Ganke Lee was fucking awake!

"you.., did you just climb up the wall?" Ganke almost shouted this as he looked at Miles in shock and confusion.

"no, I- I didn't," Miles hurriedly jumped into the window and awkwardly stood there.

"Yes you did, I saw you walking up, kinda like Spiderman?" Ganke continued to talk extremely fast as words spouted out of his mouth.

"Holy shit, I'm fucked" Miles realized that this situation probably couldn't be helped, it was a definitely canon event.

Of course, he didn't know what a cannon event was.
