Chapter 130 WIth gentleness

Nick Fury sat at his desk, deep in thought. He couldn't understand how Tony Stark had been able to appear in New York without passing through an immigration checkpoint.

And to make matters worse, he had appeared out of thin air with a young man that Fury knew all too well. Sullivan, the grandson of Ben Parker.

Fury reached for his phone and spoke to Agent Hill. Fury asked her to come to his office immediately.

A few moments later, Agent Hill entered the room and stood in front of Fury's desk.

"We need to do something,"

"But we also need to keep Sullivan from harm. I don't want to deal with his grandfather."

Agent Hill nodded in agreement.

"I understand, but what can we do?"

Fury sat back in his chair and thought for a moment before speaking.

"We need to talk to Sullivan. We need to find out what happened and how he can travel across continents like that."

"And if he doesn't want to talk?"

Agent Hill asked.

"We'll have to make him talk,"

Fury said it firmly.

"But of course with gentleness."

Agent Hill looked at him with concern in her eyes, but she knew better than to question Nick Fury when it came to matters of national security.

"I'll get a team together and head out now,"

She said before turning on her heels and leaving the room.

Fury leaned back in his chair once again, deep in thought. He knew that this situation was far from over, and that they needed answers fast before things got even more complicated.

"I know this is going to kill me *Sigh*"

Inside the internet cafe

Kitty Pryde, Kurt Wagner, Ororo Munroe, and Logan huddled together in a corner of the internet café. The sound of clicking keyboards and quiet conversations filled the air from outside.

"I don't like this,"

Ororo muttered, glancing at the monitor screen that had been hacked.

Kurt nodded in agreement.

"It's not safe for Sullivan here. Shield will be all over this place soon enough."

Logan grunted.

"The kid doesn't know about Shield. He has problems because of us."

Kitty looked at them all worriedly and said.

"We have to protect him. He's our friend who helps us without asking anything in return."

Kitty didn't want to admit it. But she absolutely did not have a crush on him. She swear!

Suddenly, the group noticed a man with a Shield logo on his jacket walking towards them. He was actually Agent Colson.

"Stay calm"

Logan warned them as he stood up to face Colson. The two knew each other. He was the one who made Colson's suspicions clear. Colson knew something was wrong when he saw so many teens; he felt he saw them somewhere. and now he knew it.

They were mutants that Shield tried to find after their school was destroyed.

"Excuse me, Logan, have you seen a young man named Sullivan around here?"

Colson asked with authority. He decided that the secret inspection was useless now that mutants were involved, so he showed up in his usual clothes as a shield agent.

Luckily, they were people he knew.

Logan narrowed his eyes at Colson, sizing him up.

"Why do you want to know?"

He asked, keeping his voice low and calm.

Colson glanced over at everyone near Logan.

"We've reason to believe that Sullivan has information that's crucial to our mission, and he is in danger now."

He said it with a hint of steel in his tone.

Ororo stepped forward, her eyes flashing with anger. She came to like the young man when he had helped them.

"And even if we did, we wouldn't tell you. The shield has caused too much trouble. and we will not let you trouble our friend."

Colson held up a hand, trying to placate her. He knew what kind of ability she had. He wouldn't want to die by her hand.

"Look, I understand your concerns, but believe me when I say that Sullivan is in danger."

Ororo heard that she calmed down a little but still didn't trust him.

Kitty stepped up beside Ororo.

"Why should we trust you?"

She asked suspiciously.

Colson met her gaze steadily.

"Because I'm one of the good guys, If you don't believe me, you can ask him."

He said it simply. There was a brief silence as the group exchanged glances.

Finally, Logan spoke up.

"Fine"

He said it gruffly.

"On condition that you promise not to harm him." We will always be there for him when you speak to him. Otherwise, forget about it."

Logan didn't want Colson near any of his friends, but he had a feeling something was up. Colson may be a member of the secret organization, but he's not a bad guy. just someone who wants to protect the country, which includes mutants or awakeners now within it too.
