33 33: Winged Horse

Austin looked closely at the creature, it resembled a horse, but it had two angelic wings on its back.

"A winged horse?" Austin said in confusion, these horses were usually used by the Valkyrie of Asgard, why was one here?

in the Marvel movies, one winged horse survived the slaughter of Hela, but this couldn't possibly be that winged horse right?

"so, that means more than one of them survived? that's possible" Austin thought as he looked at the winged horse who was also looking at him in curiosity.

Surprisingly the Winged Horse slowly galloped towards Austin and looked at him with a tilted head, almost as if it was wondering why a human was there.

"little guy, are you lost in this realm?" Austin asked as he stood in front of the winged horse, surprisingly he got a reply as the white angelic horse nodded its head and released a grunt.

Austin took out some food from his inventory and fed the horse, it seemed to be very malnourished as even its ribs could be seen as it exhaled.

After a while, the winged horse began to like Austin more and more, probably because it felt like he could save it, or it probably hadn't seen another living being in a long while after being left here.

Austin didn't want to leave this winged horse here, plus he felt like it was a cool mount to look at and possibly ride on, so he extended out his hand.

"do you wish to leave here and go to another Realm with me?" Austin said with a smile.

The winged horse released a neigh before it rubbed its hand with its head in excitement.

it seemed like this mount of an unfortunate Valkyrie was very excited to leave this place.

Even though Austin knew this winged horse belonged to Asgard, it didn't matter to him, it was Odin's fault for sending his Valkyrie to their death by battling hela.

Due to the host befriending a creature, The pet function has been unlocked, open the status screen to see more]

the system's mechanical voice appeared in Austin's head at this moment, causing him to release a look of shock as he rubbed his hands over the skin of the winged horse.

"a pet function? that's new" Austin said before opening his status screen, and as expected there was a new pet function in his status screen.

"This winged horse is actually at level 20? then it's pretty strong" Austin said as he looked at the winged horse which was walking in circles around him in excitement.

Austin then pressed on the pet option and another holographic screen was pulled up.

the pet screen didn't have much to show, but it also gave an idea to Austin.

"System, since this is my pet, am I allowed to take it into dungeons to raise its level?" Austin asked with expectation.

Yes, as long as the pet is bound with the host, it can also enter dungeons and level up alongside the host] the system said mechanically and delivered the good news to Austin.

"I'll call you comet" Austin decided to come up with a name for the winged horse on the spot.

Comet released a sharp cry as it flapped its huge wings in excitement, it seemed to like the name it was given.

"ok, Comet, are you ready to leave?" Austin said as he got ready to jump onto a comet, but surprisingly the Winged horse didn't let him and rushed back to the rock it was hiding behind before motioning towards Austin.

Austin followed Comet and found out the reason the winged horse was acting like this, behind this boulder was the dead body of a Valkyrie.

its body was surprisingly well preserved and didn't smell too bad, it was a beautiful Valkyrie with golden blonde hair who held a long spear tightly in her hands.

The spear looked good and Austin wanted to take it, but he decided against it in respect for Comet, plus he had already gained an extremely strong weapon today, so there was no need to covet the weapon of a dead unfortunate Valkyrie.

"There is nothing much I can do, She is already dead, Comet," Austin said with a frown and tried to comfort the winged horse, this valkyrie was probably its previous owner, but what surprised Austin the most was that this horse had been looking after the body for all this time, what a wonderful mount.

Comet released a sad neigh as it raised its forelegs before lowering its head to look at the dead body of the Valkyrie.

"But, I can take away her body and give her a proper burial in a safe place," Austin said as he appeared behind Comet and rubbed his back with a smile.

Comet looked at him before nodding hesitatingly, it wanted to help its owner, but it even realized that it couldn't do anything, Comet just didn't want to believe that his owner was dead.

Austin pulled Valkyrie's dead body into his inventory before comforting Comet

and hopping onto its back.

"ok comet, let's go, I'll take you out of here, just fly," he said with a smile.

Comet released a neigh before it unfurled its wings and shot into the sky, it flapped its wings heavily and appeared hundreds of meters into the air instantly.

as Comet flew like a rocket towards the dark gloomy sky of Niflheim, a huge stargate appeared in the void before Austin and Comet passed through it.

immediately appearing back on earth.

The winged horse flew amongst the clouds like a bird as it occasionally soared before rising again, Austin felt the warm breeze of air through his body as he sat on the back of this stellar creature.

Its angelic wings continuously flapped in the sky as it galloped towards the distance.
